The only form of healthcare reform that would be an improvement over the ACA would be Canadian-style single-payer. That would put the health insurance companies out of business. Which is the point. American health care costs per capita are twice what they are in Canada, and not because American health care is twice as good -- that extra dollar on the dollar goes to the insurance companies. They need to be cut out of the loop entirely. Michael Moore got it right -- when we're doing health care reform, the insurance companies are the enemy and should not have a place at the table.
