Do you remember the last the the U.S. government (under the Trump administration) started handing out free money like this?

I know you are a Russian, but you clearly pay a lot of attention to what happens to the American economy, so I'm pretty sure you do in fact remember.

The first round of inflation, which began in 2020 under Trump, led to wholesale price spikes in 2021, after Trump left office (And for which his successor was unfairly blamed.)

Free money= more spending= retailers take advantage of it and raise prices. Thereby, creating inflation. This happened with the last round of freebies. It will happen again if there are MORE freebies.

Since I suspect you do realize this, I also suspect you are hoping these checks will arrive in 2028, so whoever the incoming president is will be blamed for the resulting inflation. Assuming free and fair elections occur then- not always such a safe assumption anymore, by the way, the incoming 2028 president will almost certainly NOT be a Republican. It's been only two months into the Trump administration and most Americans are already sick of him- even most of those who voted for him believe it or not (I know you Russians only believe what you choose to about the U.S.)

No one said they would harm the US dollar. What I and at least one other poster said was that Trump and Elon's policies were sure to tank it, but neither of us said this particular policy - if it even happens - would be responsible.

Republicans AND Democrats agreed they could NOT add the "No Tax on Tips" campaign promise to the upcoming continuing budget resolution....The cost would be Eleven Trillion-with-a-T dollars added to the federal deficit, making it the largest single addition to the federal deficit in American history.

Trump stamped his foot this morning and demanded it be included, just find some moar "waste fraud and abuse" in Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

Expect to hear "waste fraud and abuse" repeated over and over by the low-intelligence posters on this board for the next two months.

I'm so old I can recall when President Ronald Reagan saved America by removing "waste fraud and abuse" from the government in the 1980s!

The government actually proving itself "America First" by auditing the government and giving the people some of their money back?? Will also be a game changer.....nobody alive has ever seen anything like it and the Democrats meltdown over it is telling me they understand how bad it looks when Orange Man is delivering more populist acts in 5 months than Democrats managed in 50 years.

The ONLY thing Trump could possibly do to cut the Dems down any harder would be to get a public HC system passed through congress and set up, replacing the broken AF shit show we have. Those would be some SOUR grapes :ROFLMAO:(y)

Making martyrs is a risky game. And consider what they get from it at this point? Nothing.

I think it's a bit unlikely to come from Democrats or even the swamp. Too late.

I think foreign hostilities could be a real possibility though and the lone nut job is always out there.
