Music

personally i'm not into classical, i'm into R&B.

my personal favs are Usher, Toni Braxton, Brian McKnight. Anything slow.

I know that I'm probably very weird, but heavy metal turns me on... lol... yeah.

Not, like, death or black metal... but something rather tweener... like... we'll piss outta' a name and say Korn, lol.

Their guitars are very bassy...

Gets the adreniline flowing...

I'd have to go with Soundlover. Massive Attack's Mezzanine is dark and seductive all the way through.

I'm a techno fan as well, though I opt more for the IDMish stuff out there.

Normally I wouldn't think of Autechre as a good group to listen to in the car, but they've got a few notable tracks that are sex-worthy on their Tri Repetae++ release. "Second Scepe", the second half of "Garbagemx36", and "Bronchusevenmx24" are all lovely, and all three go on for over seven minutes, so you won't have to worry about switching tracks too much.

Gescom's Keynell (AE mixes) is nice and well paced, with both tracks over nine minutes, so you get even more make out time.

Squarepusher's "My Red Hot Car" is always entertaining, though it might tip the ladies off as to what's really on your mind...

For classical stuff, Fantasia para un Gentilhombre as performed by Segovia is glorious. Absolutely beautiful Spanish guitar music backed by an orchestra. Find it and love it. Makes even the seediest dorm room seem romantic and elegant.

I just rediscovered one of the BEST albums of all time: Wider Angle by Hybrid.

It's ambient techno meets symphonic orchestras. It's got bass and beats and strings. If you need to hear something from this album before you buy it, I will personally send you track 11 "Finished Symphony" (which sounds great, btw, if you've got a moderately decent sound system with a subwoofer - I use altec lansings that I bought for $100 and they're more than enough).

I own the Special Edition album, which differs from the USA domestic version only slightly. Either will do.

Also, Delerium's Chimera is a bewitching blend of techno and vocals. The album is much lighter sounding than previous albums and the sound is more finished overall, slightly mainstreamed, slightly "pop". Girls will love it.

a 2 page thread and no one's made a pun/joke about subwoofers/submissives??? disappointing.

and that Bill Laswell ambient/dub mix of Bob Marley stuff is great!

so is Peter Gabriel's Passion (soundtrak from last temptation of christ).

My 2 cents

Having been in music all my life, either in radio or performing,
I found that soft smooth romantic music is awesome like at dinner time or dancing.
ANd you could use Classical, but I perfer, the old Standards like Nat King Cole or Sinatra and others.
Plus there are many other romantic songs out there that fit.

When it comes to making love music I love smooth jazz. Anything with a piano or sax in it. For some reason when there is someone singing in the back ground and I know the words, it really does a number to me. There is something to be said to using songs that do not have words to it. Or not known pop songs... I mean horrible thing to have happen is while you are making love to her a song that reminds her of her ex or old lover... kind of kills the mood.

What I have done is burn all my CDs to mp3 files and then make a CD of the songs I want to use. For both the dinner and the love making. This way has always worked for me. ANd you can control the tempo as well.

IU was listening to that album when I made my posts lol. I think some of the other squarepusher tracks might be sexy but downright distracting . although if I could find a woman that gets aroused by Squarepusher and Congo Natty I would marry her the next day.
