Satie is one of my favorite composers ... It just so happens that he infuenced one my favorite artist David Sylvian ...

I love Satie's work and I am fond of David Sylvian as well, although I'm not as familiar with his solo work, I must admit.

I hope it works.

And, inspired by some earlier posts, a few songs by Japan:
Life in Tokyo
Nightporter
Television

Ah some classics ... Did you know Japan reformed for 1 allbum as the group Rain Tree Crow ... Or was it Rain Crow Tree ... I always get it mixed up ...

Any how, I'll have to find my copy of the CD 1st before posting ...

These are a few works for the Koto; the first is a traditional Japanese folk song, the other two are modern compositions for the instrument, both composed in the 1970s.

A traditional Japanese folk song (the title translates as Cherry Blossom):
Sakura

A work for two kotos and a jushichigen (bass koto) by Kikushiro Masaaki (the title in English is Waves):
Nami

And a work for the koto by Sawai Tadao (the English title being Dream):
Yume

I did not know that.

legal????????????

Lavared said:
Just out of curiousity... is this legal?

Well, technically, if the owner of the works wants to share it.....

so if Van Morrison wants to give you "Brown Eye'd Girl..."

No, it's stealing.

But, you know, fuck them. You bought it once. It's all fucking music industry legal bullshit. Be a fucking viking. Pilage etc.
