Just wondering if anyone has ever heard a piece of music that's made you think of a particular person to such an extent that you suddenly get the urge to drop everything (even though you're snowed under with work) and drive several hours to go and see them.

If so, what was the piece of music?

The one that's going round in my head at the moment is "Call on Me" - Eric Prydz.

I'd be interested to know what music (if any) does this for other people. :rose:

As embarrassed as I should be to admit it, the Pina Colada song takes me back to another time and someone.;)

I think every person has a song attached to them and the right person starts the music in you.

If I am away from hubby and I hear "Idon't want to miss a thing" by aerosmyth or "more than words" by extreme or a list of loads of other songs at remind me of him I just long to be in his arms.

How strange, the song that make me think of a special someone just came on..........twilight zoney or what!

There are several songs that I had heard at a time when I was deeply in lust with someone. Everytime I hear one of those songs they make me smile ~ one of which was "Leave me Breathless" (I think that is the full name..)

When I hear Honey by Mariah Carey, it reminds me of a fantasy I once had about doing a strip tease for someone...lol..

There are things that remind me daily of people in my life. Smells, colors...hell, even cars!

I could only hope that someone feels that way about me.

Almost all of Melissa Etheridge's songs remind me of someone. However, music is more likely to remind me of a PLACE. The whole soundtrack of Dirty Dancin' reminds me of Jamaica -- 'cause the bar on the beach played it constantly.

I was in a casino a couple of Christmases ago. I was with some people I had just met. The casinos play very old pop tunes from the era of the majority of their customers. I was trying to extract this one lady from the group. Maybe she would, maybe she wouldn't. About this time, they played "It's All In The Game," by Tommy Edwards. If you wonder if she did or she didn't. listen to the song!

All of the Shrek sound track makes me think of The Earl - mainly 'cos we were singing it last night!
