Are you sure it isn't a matter of training yourself to have a dry orgasm? It seems to me that we could train our bodies to block off the urethra (perhaps by causing the prostate gland to contract and block it) and force ejaculate back into the bladder. That would appear to be an orgasm without ejaculation. I don't see how we could train our bodies not to ejaculate at all. That would be a great experiment to undertake though. Not me of course. I'm to old and I'll be damned if I'll try to tamper with any of the orgasms I'm still capable of. And no I don't give a crap about ending a sentence with a preposition. That's a made-up rule that I ain't a gunna follow.

The few times I had multiples, each orgasm was an ejaculation. It wasn't a very short refractory period, either, as I was in my forties when I was experimenting with Tantra, and at that age I'd lost the quick regeneration cycle I had in my twenties. It was a series of build ups, with plateaus in between, over an hour or so. As I say, a lot of mental persuasion.

I’ve been with three different guys - all of whom I was or am regularly intimate with, these weren’t hookups - who have had at least one instance of something adjacent to multiple male orgasms (defined by zero refractory period). From the most tentative to the most sure.

Event #1 - single occurrence

Going down on him. He gave every classic sign of being about to cum. Then appeared to cum, but with no accompanying ejaculation. I was surprised, he was surprised. I kept going for a while longer and bingo!

He later described it as cumming 1.5 times - and said he’d not done it before.

Event #2 - one occurrence with guy A two with guy B

Vaginal where he came, kept going and came again. Guy A ripped off a condom and put on another. Guy B was bareback and definitely came in me twice on both occasions.

Event #3 - one occurrence with guy A

Now compared to how many times I had sex with these guys, it was very infrequent. But all of the above happened.

Anyone else (male or female) have a similar experience?

I can tell you that a young man can sometimes cum again without much of a refractory period. I remember a time with one girlfriend in particular, I'd be screwing her, cum and stay hard. The wind up coming again a little later. I wouln't call it multiple orgasms. NOt like the woman experienced (which is probably what kept me going). AHH, the advantages of youth (mid-20's)

To be fair, even run-of-the-mill ejaculations are not all created equal. But it was more powerful than a normal ejaculation, yet less powerful than an ejaculation with a finger up the bum.

Not sure quite what the doctrinal term for that is, on whatever sexual Richter scale anyone here might be using. Lol.

0 refraction is rare in men, especially over 30.

These days I find that, edging, then holding the orgasm back several times will make you leak, but never crossing the orgasm rubicon. So I find myself confused on the whole "multiple orgasm" designation. If a person has multiple orgasmic peaks without any refractory time between, to my mind that isn't multiple orgasms but a continuous orgasm.

If the above is continuous and some kind of break between is necessary to establish them as multiple, how long a break is necessary? A minute? Two? Half an hour? And does that mean if a man orgasms, stays erect and continues with whatever sexual endeavor he is engaged in even though it takes time for him to begin to build back to another orgasm, when he does reach another, is that a multiple orgasm?

An explanation from WebMD is:
"A common definition of multiple orgasms is that the first orgasm ends and there is an explicit, short period when the person is not having an orgasm. Then, typically due to continued or renewed stimulation, another orgasm happens soon after."

As you can see they say there is an "explicit short period" between orgasms. But again, we're back to subjective terms, what does "short period" mean in this context?

I did a little research on male orgasms and it seems, according to some sites on the 'net, the record for male orgasms is 31 in a day. Is that considered multiple orgasms? And if not why not?

I am sooooo confused!

I took a look at that site. While I am always leery of self-reported data in a study (because there is no way to prove it to be accurate) it does reinforce my confusion with this:

"While the range of reported orgasms varied from 2 to 30, the majority (79.5%, N = 97) of participants experienced between 2 and 4 orgasms separated by a specific time interval during which further stimulation was required to achieve another orgasm."

A minute? Two? Ten? FFS

Edited to add: It appears that each individual gets to designate what the time interval between orgasms is. I had sex with the wife then had sex the next day with my girlfriend so I declare those to be multiple orgasms.
