Moving is a bitch!

I hate the whole ordeal of packing- figuring out what I want to keep, what I want to save, what I don't want to pack yet just in case I might need it (oh yeah, like I'm going to need the damn grater in the next day or so ).

After all that, I have to move.... now, today I'm doing everyhting by myself. I have my trusty little handtruck and my little SUV. loading up the truck, and when it's full, taking it to my new place, coming back, filling up, etc....

Tomorrow I have to rent a big truck for the big furbiture- that's really going to be the annoying part.


*side story: I was outside my apartment building, making a trip down to my car to put some stuff in my truck. Well, When I was across the street (near my building), I remembered that I had to put quarters in the meter. Well, I left the handtruck near the building (right in between two cars), and a guy who was parked right in front of where I put the handtruck opens the trunk of his car. He was looking all around, and he had nothing to put in his car.I think he didn't see that I left it there for just a minute and he was going to take my handtruck! Only in NY.... lol.

Moving around ...

I have moved before and I must say I don't mind @ all.
I think its because I have few things and as for clothes I can fit every single item of clothing into a duffel bag. I am very low maintence when it comes to clothes ...

But helping my friend move ....... Good GOD !!!
That girl has so much stuff it takes us weeks to simply move her bedroom let along her other rooms !

I move about twice a year (within the same town, mind you).... I consider myself an expert in packing things up now. It is sad. I am sad. I hate moving - hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it. If it wasn't for the cute moving guys I would have given up on it now. *GGGG*

I know what your going through minx... i've moved 3 times in my life. I moved my sister in and out of 7 different places in 5 years.
helped my brother move twice, helped my aunt move an entire fucking buisness not just her house. and helped antoher aunt move twice. it's a fucking pain.

I've decided I'm just never going to leave where I live now. I have a couple hundred pounds of books here that I could not part with.

I think right now I need a break. I just made a trip down to my car, and when I went to open up my car, I realized that my apartment keys weren't attached my keyring-my apartment keys are always attached to my keyring!

I could ahve sworn that I brought them down with me- the super went into the elevator shaft, looking for them for me. Then he helped me get into my apartment which I was locked out of. My keys were on the table. I just know they decided to play a trick on me. I just know it! They wanted to make me look like a stupid bubblebrain.

Moving was almost a habit as a kid so I grew accustomed to it but never-the-less I hate the process. Juggling between packing everything and just getting it over with or tossing out half the stuff and starting fresh.

Ugh!
