Ok, we did the ones we can watch over and over. How about this?

What movies do you absolutely hate? The criteria for this is that you either had to pay to see it, or rent it, or buy it.

And for the sake of brevity, let's leave kids movies out of it. I could go on and on about the negative virtues of the power rangers

Last Tango in Paris (one of two movies I walked out on)
Pretty Baby (the other movie I walked out on)
The Ring (I have never been so bored in my life.)
The Exorcist II (The devil can have it.)
Rude Boy (I never thought the Clash could be boring, but here they are in all their soporific glory.)
Andy Warhol's Dracula (It was the mentrual blood that did it.)

Blair Witch Project *shudders*
I don't even know why I went to be honest all the crying , snot in torch light should really have been red flag enough for me on my most vulnerable of days.

Wow! I don't pay for many movies. I usually rent them for free from the library.

Hot to Trot 1998 with Bobcat Goldthwait

The Day of Locust 1975

Yor The Hunter From the Future 1983

Are the first ones off the top of my head. I only remember them at all because they were majorly sucky.

1.) I've never seen it but my parents walked out on it. That makes me curious.
2.) I didn't like it either.
3.) Gave me nightmares, something about demonic kids freaks me out.
4.) Was that the one with the flying things? If so I have a bit of a story about it but it wasn't much good. I didn't see the first one.
5.) Didn't see it.
6.) Menstrual blood and vampires? That so seems like a natural fit! I'm gonna see if my library has it!

LOL! I agree it was bad! I rented it for free but it still wasn't worth it!

Is that a porn parody version of Brokeback?

"Heavy" with Liv Tyler.

LOL!

Haven't see those either but the title "Heavy" doesn't seem to go with little Liv.

I'll suffer through anything. So i never walked out o a movie.
Two movies though made it a struggle:

Life is beautiful - and THIS got an Oscar? AAARRRGH!

Sahara - nothing against action flicks, but this was just ridiculous. I mourned the three bucks I payed for it.

Let me think . . .

Their was a movie with Johny Depp and Antonio Banderas (although anything with AB is stupid) that me and K watched that got stupider the longer we watched it. I don't think we finished it.

Then their was a movie with Christina Applegate out last year. She's a news ancor? We didn't finish it either.

Another popular movie we didn't finish . . . Napoleon Dynamite. *gag*

Then that one . . . something to do with blowing up earth to make a highway? K said it was ok - I went and took a bath about the time the guy with two heads showed up.

Anything slapsticky - I refuse to watch. Like the three stooges - that kinda thing.

Coneheads. That stupid movie with Eddie Murphy where he pretends to be a fat guy who finds a way to get skinny. Aliens vs Predator. As Good as it Gets with Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt.

To tell the truth I could go on days about stupid movies, since most movies out these days are stupid.

I believe that here you mean The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. The book was wayyyyyyyyyy better than the movie even tried to be.

Yeah, that one. And that's what I heard - that the book was better.

Napolean Dynamite was awful! I had heard so many people say how funny it was, so I went to see it. We ended up actually leaving the theatre, because it just was NOT funny. The sad part is, we were laughing more than anyone else in there, I'm not sure why everyone didn't walk out.

We watched it cause I had my cousins over. They got to choose a movie, we chose a movie. I forget what we chose, but everyone liked it. They chose ND, and LOVED it. Me and K just about died of boredom.

Grace, oh dear, I have to say I can't agree with your comment about Antonio Banderas!

I LOVE to just LOOK at him!

I will admit he hasn't made the best films at times but damn! Look at HIM!

*purrs*

I rented it only because I had it confused with another movie of hers about a heavy set man, which was ironically a comedy.

See if you can stay awake through the trailer http://videodetective.com/home.asp?PublishedID=6793 and description.

This character drama, set in a local pub in rural New York State, focuses on the lives, thoughts, and emotions of a group of social outcasts. The lead misfit is Victor, a shy and very rotund man in his '30s who works as a pizza maker in a roadside inn. His mother, Dolly owns the establishment. She dominates his life. The senior waitress there is Dolores, an aging woman with a reputation for being easy. Dolores is resentful when Dolly hires the vivacious teenager Callie, who is in love with Jeff, a garage mechanic. Victor develops a painful crush on Callie and fantasizes about rescuing her from a life with Jeff. To help himself, he begins to diet and enrolls at a chef school. His mother becomes suddenly ill. Then Delores makes a pass at him, but he doesn't respond. He does however, feel emboldened to make a play for Callie. His actions lead him into a new world of expression. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide

I probably should have excluded comedy from this as well. Humor hits people different ways, and what one person finds funny makes another gag or yawn.

I LIKED Napolean Dynamite. I didn't get a Vote for Pedro shirt, but when he handed that girl the hideous drawing and said, "I did this for you," i saw myself as a stupid 16 year old.

The Village- M. Night needs to just stop while he's ahead.

Kill Bill 2 - I fell asleep.

Alexander - uggghhh

28 Days Later - There was no reason for this movie to suck as much as it did.

Just be very glad you didn't. I have never felt like leaving a movie more that that and it was about 3 1/2 hours. Only reason I didn't walk was that I was with friends.

I don't watch movies very often.

I sometimes see the begiining, wander off or read a book and tune in for the end.

I have a low attention span, yet I can happily read books all day *shrug*

What was the movie years ago about 'bunny boiling'? My first husband and I went to the cinema to see it, I fell asleep.

I also fell asleep in the cinema watching Panic Room.

Now please don't throw things with this next one..

Lord of the Rings.

I cannot see the attraction of that film or the sequels. I manage about 15 mins before I am so fed up that even washing dishes is more interesting.

I saw part of Cliffhanger that was dull and What Lies beneath was unbelievable and corny.

I am sure there are lots of films I don't like, but I rarely remember titles, just odd excerpts from the film itself.

I go into "get me the hell out of here" mode over most Christmas films. I'm not talking about just the claymation Rudolph or things like that. I'm talking just about -any- film that's -about- Christmas, no matter the genre.

There are about two that I don't spaz out over, but this is the hate thread. :)

I actually hate, hate, hate, hate, hate It's A Wonderful Life. HATE it.

Shrek - I thought it was terrible and boring as hell. No idea why everyone likes it so much (is that a kids movie? if so, sorry for mentioning, but I thought it was adult animation)

Crash - It was just way too boring for me

I can't think of a whole lot of movies I really disliked. There are TONS I have been very dissappointed in lately. It seems like producers are getting away from doing things in a simple, enjoyable manner and always have to put some kind of crazy "mark" of their own on it, and that really annoys me. Like Charlie and the Chocolate factory....why twist the story so much and make Wonka so flipping WEIRD (in the Willy Wonka version Wonka was essentric but not flat out psychotic and weird as hell). And what the fuck was with the squirrels?

Sorry, I got off track there...I should go back to bed...
