Much of my vacation passed by pretty uneventfully here in the endless sprawl of suburbia surrounding Manhattan. I came over to our quiet neighborhood during the beginning of my summer break - though upon realizing how quiet everything was, I thought to myself that I probably should have gotten a job, or maybe an internship.
I wasn't studying something crazy useful however, so that option wasn't exactly available to me. Still, I could persuade most men in administration to doing me this favor. I call it persuade, but in reality it's simply asking while giving out a fake smile. It's one of the perks of being one of the hottest women on campus. Yes, I know, it might seem a little conceited in thinking that, but when guys repeat that to you over and over again, well, it gets to your head.
My name is Melissa Beautrice. I'm twenty one years old and pretty much new to the world. I moved out of this house about three years ago when I began to study at NYU. I'm just visiting to see my folks, though my parents aren't home a lot, given their crazy business schedules. So, I'm mostly here with my younger brother, Rick.
Things at home weren't all that crazy, as I might have mentioned, and I actually drifted back to my memories at West Hill High (where my brother currently is in his senior year) where I was a cheerleader and everyday seemed like an adventure. Maybe just a cheerleader was a bit of an understatement, however. I was the school's prized head cheerleader.
It wasn't until Rick received some invitation to a party where things began to kick off (this occurred around two weeks into my vacation). I was insistent that I'd go with him, under the guise of making sure that the party was suitable for my younger brother. In reality, I wanted to do both that, and have a bit of fun. Staying home, indoors, for days on end isn't my scene.
I had no idea what I was in for, however...
