More Random Thoughts

We really trust elevators too much when we stick our hand in the doors to stop them from closing.

That's a fact. Several people lose hands or legs every year due to malfunctions. Don't do it, wait for another elevator rather then stick your body in there.

That it is nice on Pandora when you don’t have to hit skip as all the songs are on point

After further research, it seems the risk of serious injury as a result inserting and appendage between closing elevator doors is roughly 1 in 7.5 billion or the entire population of the world. Obviously, this is a rough estimate.

However, the risk is greatly elevated if the person in question happens to be an elevator technician.

The button marked “close doors” in a modern elevator does nothing and is only designed to give the operator the illusion of control.

...but you can't believe everything you read on the internet.
:D

Thanks for clearing that up for us.

Thanks for clearing that up for us.

Oh, my apologies. I did not intend to be rude.

I'm just sayin'... I appreciated your concern. It is a concern of mine since our offices span three floors and I'm constantly throwing an arm or a leg out there. It has crossed my mind on more than one occasion that I might need to catch a separate elevator car in search of my left arm.

Thank you

You're being sarcastic. Perhaps my attitude is rubbing off.

Be patient and wait for the next elevator. Arms and legs for transplants are in short supply.

That whole post was just to be funny. When you looked into it I thought that was hilarious. I guess if you have to do that on the daily basis you have a valid point to be concerned. Of course I didn’t think it was rude.
