on my walk yesterday, there were five egrets and two blue herons fishing in a cove

Among my many wu-wu pursuits, I studied essential oils back when younger son was in elementary school. Now he's 25, and I'm tickled that he asked me to make him some blends. It was a lesson in patience this morning measuring out some of the thicker ones like sandalwood and vetiver drop by excruciatingly slow drop. But when a son asks, a mum delivers.

That is an awesome shot!!!! I sometimes "chase" them down the river. All they really need to do to get away from me is fly upstream instead of flying downstream.

laughing, yes, it's an easy solution! It was just great seeing so many fishing all together in a small cove. Do you ever see them watching from a perch in a tree? It really surprised me first time I spotted one, but apparently it's pretty common.

so had to have some front porch fun before the good weather disappears

totally! I found it interesting that he's progressed over the years from seeking essential oil remedies for physical things like a headache or a stuffy head to emotional things.

Plus I had a good laugh when I realized the colors of my essential oil cases are the same teal and purple as my silk shawl in recent pics.

I was trying to give a tease for each of the seven sets of pics I mentioned, so people could make a choice. My game did not work.

One of my favorite things to do at the beach house is paddle out on the bay and into the marshes, looking for birds to photograph. It's such a bonus when I get an incredible show while taking my morning walk.
