I really don't like the smell of them, but these are far enough away that, depending on which way the wind is blowing, they're not that bad. When we moved to the south, Bradfords were described to us as "the developer's friend" AKA "trash trees" because they grow really fast but don't live long. Interesting that yours bloomed before ours further south.

Yes the developers loved them. Relatively cheap, fast growing, nice shape and pretty flowers. What more could a developer want? Well you are a little further south, but I am more on the coastal plain whereas you are in higher elevation. I think I am sitting at about 225 feet above sea level and you are on up there. I alway notice as I go west that the trees and things are a few weeks behind us. (I can't believe I am talking trees and geography with a beautiful woman with beautiful bare breasts.)
