Republicans are the only ones doing something to protect morals in this country. God Bless them.
- Some Girl on a (physical) message board about 9/11

Why do I have to live by YOUR morals?
- My response.

A great number of you here, particularly Lost Cause speak out against morality laws. While there aren't a large amount of Religious Right on this board, I can see why they are for the legislation of morality, even though I don't believe in it. However, in effect, aren't all laws morality laws? Adultery, Muder, Robbery are all moral values. Wow, they remain constant throughout most civilizations the planet has seen, they are morals. Some civilizations saw killing in many cases as perfectly fine, a duty even. We ourselves have instances where it's generally believed to be ok (war, self-defense, death penalty [almost]). How should we deferientiate between some morality laws and others?

Why yes, I am procrastinating.

You try to allow people to undertake whatever they want until it adversely inhibits another person to live their own life. Killing them tends to put a damper on their life. Fucking your wife up the ass while watching dirty porno doesnt. Thats a pretty good line in the sand.

One person's normal behavior...

Offends another's morality. I believe in nullifying victimless morality laws, and focus on the crimes that PHYSICALLY harm another. Why have laws that limit anyone's freedom to choose for themselves to enjoy their life? The "axis of evil" is the Politicians/Insurance Complex/Safety Nazis, which conspire to lock us down in controlling laws that limit our free choices, in the name of corporate profit. That is so unconstitutional, so insidious, as to define freedom in terms of monetary loss (public burden theory).
People should be free to toke, smoke, ride without helmets/seatbelts, marry same sex, anything! In essence..*****, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness! :D
