Thank you. I'm quite happy with how it came out. I had to take quite a few shots to get the picture this focused.

This past weekend was the Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society. I was on a team and we raised money. Walked for 12 hours in the freezing cold, danced, played games, made new friends, took pictures......

At the relay we have a candle light ceremony to remember those who have passed away from cancer as well as honor and support the cancer survivers. At 9pm all the lights around the track are turned off and the luminarias(with each persons name and a note from a loved one) are lined along the track.

At the center of the field they use luminarias to spell out the word HOPE. That is what you see in this picture.... Luminaries honoring loved ones who have battled Cancer and the message that there is hope.

excellent, that must have been a very moving gathering, for we all know someone that has fallen to one form of cancer or another. That must have been so cool!
