Montrealer's Thread!

Oh, buy anything?

Buses... ugh. At least metros aren't all that bad...

Yes, I got some jeans and some panties. I was going to get a new dvd player but someone took my cart while I was trying on the jeans

The area I went shopping in only has one bus that goes there and it only passes every hour on the weekends. I missed it going there and coming back.

They stole your cart?! I can't believe it!

Where did you go shopping?

I know, I couldn't believe it either...there were 3 or 4 employees at the changing rooms and none of them saw anyone taking the cart.

I went to Quartier Dix30....I will never go there again by bus.

Too busy chatting, most likely... and not doing their jobs.. I'm sorry, hun! I know how frustrating that can be!

I've been meaning to stop by Dix30 - how is it? (and no, I'm not planning to go there by bus, lol!)

Thanks, it wouldn't have been so bad but it was the last dvd player that they had it stock of that model.

It's huge, first time I've been there. They even have these fire drums outside so you can warm up while walking to different stores.

Oh, hun! {{:rose:}} That really bites!

Fire drums, eh? Well that's different - and smart! It's about time! I guess I need to make a shopping trip soon. Oh darn!

I was surprised to see the fire drums...never seen them at any other shopping centers.

Sure there are... right next to the garbage cans. Or here's a thought... making the side walks bigger.

But if they put them next to the garbage cans people might throw their garbage in them (the ones at Dix30 have steel cages over them)....and if they make the side walks bigger the streets would be smaller...where would people park?

Details details...

But the point is, there will be warmth!
And besides, if they have grills over them, then people will throw their garbage in the trash...
Oh, and it's not as if it's easy to find parking as it is... I really believe that the city purposely leaves their cars there!

Well details can be important

Well if you're cold you could always cut through one of the shopping centers or the underground city...depends where you're going.
I wouldn't know about parking...I don't drive

Details, important? Pfft!

True... but it'll look better with fire drums!

And you're not missing much driving in Montreal... it's a pain!
