Money no object car collection

For many, many years my 3 favourite, money no object cars have been Ferrari 250GTO, Jaguar D type (short nose) and Ford GT40. All super fast, super beautiful and, at a pinch, road legal!!! (and SUPER expensive now) :(

Aston Martin DB 5
Bentley Continental GTC
Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet 1970s era
Mini Cooper S Original version
Land Rover Series 3 SWB
Godzilla….Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34)
MGTC
MG Metro 6R4
Ferrari 288 GTO
Bentley Straight 8 tourer
Morgan 4/4

Whatever I can fit an 8' 2x4 fully inside of and not worry about ripping a seat or dinging the paint.

Any pickup will do. You can get a crew cab, so the entire family will fit comfortably. The bed is a short bed, but a ratchet strap will hold down any lumber in the bed

Remember 40 years ago- Seeing a 1971 Monte Carlo 454 with a 4 speed. I like different

1936 Ford cabriolet (my dad's first car)
1958 VW convertible (my first car)
1962 Porsche 356B Super cabriolet (my first sports car)
1959 Fiat-Abarth 750 Zagato "double bubble" (wife's raceday grocery-getter)
1962 Lotus Elite Super 105 (just to admire)
1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta (since money is no object)

^^^^^^^
The list starts quietly but builds into an exciting crescendo! Nice list!

Have to add to my list the 3.8 Jaguar E-type

62M, just here to trade beads.

If I'm being really greedy, I'd like my Berlinetta to also have a bit of provenance, such as the ex-Rob Walker car driven at Nassau by Stirling Moss or the SWB Denise McCluggage drove to a GT class win at Sebring.

Also, when I was in high school a guy in Saginaw named Martin Tanner built a series of H Mod sports racers powered by Saab two-stroke triples. I'd love to have his T-3 or T-4, complete with the 1960 Morris Minor Traveller "woodie" and trailer he used for transportation to and from SCCA races in the early Sixties!

If money were on object as well as space I'd love to start a museum of famous cars and movie cars I love as well as just general amazing vehicles. It may be basic but I think it would still be awesome!

Supernatural Implala
Paul Walker Blue GTR34
Han Orange and Black RX7
Ghostbusters Cadillac

Some of the non famous ones:
69 Chevy Camaro
91 Honda Prelude
Nissan GTR35
70s Model Truck but new internals

Not having read the whole thread, no Volvo included in any list? 😛
There's a P1800 mentiond early on.

I've had a Volvo 740, three 940s but what I would like is a delimited 850R estate - looking like a standard big Volvo esatte but capable of 185+ mph (and single figure MPG at that speed.)

A couple of years ago thaere was an 850R for sale about ten miles from me, low mileage at a price I could afford. But I doid a search for insurance. For an ancient with 35 years no claims - almost five figures (about £9,750) a year comprehensive.

Oh, guessing that is the James Bond one lol

My father bought a Gray Volvo Amazon (122S with overdrive), after one overtook our crappy little Ford when it was struggling up the slopes in the Swiss Alps.

I inherited it, and kept it cherry for thirty years, but had to sell it when I needed money.

Money no object, I'd buy it back.

I was crawling up Porlock Hill in first gear in my Morris Oxford MO, when I was overtaken by an Austin Sheerline towing a caravan. I have always faniced owning an Austin Sheerline since then.

New cars now are loaded with long lists of crap I don't want. Stripping all that out to make a bare bones driving machine could be a money no object project. Maybe I would like a Mini Cooper, minus the crap.
