Heh heh. I can relate. I just imagine sitting across the table from my mom. "Well... no, it's a spreader bar. No, it's not for hitting! Well... not intentionally. No, it's just... well. It's not meant to be attached by oneself. There's usually someone there to /un/attach it, you see."

Lmao......that would not be fun.

"No, mom, he hasn't been abusing me. The marks are from my riding crop. You know, the one I used to ride HORSES with?......umm, yeah, they do hurt, but my Master says they look nice against my pale skin."

Unless you really do have kinky parents, I don't think that would fly so well. ;)

Nope. Mom and Dad are not kinky. Mom and Dad are un-kinky, in fact. That conversation won't be happening any time soon. Not until I'm out of the house and I have a job that supports me. That way I just have to deal with emotional stuff when they disown me.

emotional stuff is bad enough

Definitely. Hopefully if they do need to find out, they won't disown me. That would be the ideal, for them to be understanding.

I read somewhere that being into S&M nowadays is like being gay 15 years ago. I don't think it's quite that strong.....but it's a good resemblance, it being part of one's identity and all. At least for the 11% of the population who is naturally aligned to S&M, it's something that isn't a choice. And while people have made it into a "trend," the real practicing of BDSM stuff is still looked at as weird, crazy, etc. And very few people see it as something that is an identity for people rather than a choice. That makes it hard to explain to non-SM people.

Now, trying to explain to my parents would be nearly impossible, I would think.....

Well I'd adopt you, but I'm not sure I could afford to keep you! ;)

LOL. I'm damn expensive. $15,000 each year in tuition, with financial aid. Brand name clothes, a car, and then there's the food and normal living expenses. You don't want to adopt me......hell, I don't want to have to pay for myself any time soon :p

They sure have! But she's such a good girl!

I'm such a good little angel!!!! *smiles and bats eyelashes*

Who knows if I'm worth all that........my parents just want me out of trouble, I'm sure, and they want to make me happy.......and all the money into my school is so I can get a good job and boost myself up a class. Both of them grew up in small towns in the Dakotas, and my mom only graduated from high school - they'd like to see me graduate from a nice college and go on to med school and make enough money so that I and my kids can live very comfortably. So all this money they've put into me is really an investment, you see. Putting money into the future of the family.

Allergies

Hey there. Are any of you getting bad allergy attacks right now, or is it just me?

had a rough day yesterday, couldn't stop sneezing and some reaaly bad throat tickles

Me too. Bad allergies. I've been taking my allergy meds twice a day as prescribed, instead of the usual once. At least it hasn't gone up to three times a day - that only happens when I'm REALLY sick :p

At least it's not just me then. Man, today was miserable. And I still haven't been able to get rid of them.

You know, all last year I never had this problem.

I must be allergic to Minnesota. :p

Hehe perhaps that's true. At least you COULD be more allergic to the trees here than to those in Boston. But you're moving back, so no worries :)

Yeah, that's what I figure. ;)

Today was a long day too, lol. Had to take my grandma to the salon, where it took 2 hours to do her hair. Not cool.

On the positive side, I did get 37th in my first poker tourney of the evening, and I'm trying to get up there in the second. Hopefully it won't last too long, though, I don't think I have that much patience or energy left.

How did everyone's week go??

Let's just say I'm way too happy it's Saturday. ;)

I'm going to attempt to take the doors apart on my car. Should be fun.

I had a pretty okay week, spent a bit of it in a bad mood though. I'm happy it's the weekend :)

Congrats to lovinanalandy for getting second in an online poker tourney last night, I was very impressed. Definitely beats my 21st place finish, lol :p
