Missouri GOP Gov. Parson Pardons McCloskeys on Weapons Charges

https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/mark-mccloskey-missouri-governor-pardon/2021/08/03/id/1031027/

Missouri GOP Gov. Mike Parson said Tuesday he has granted pardons to Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the St. Louis couple who drew international attention for brandishing guns at racial justice protesters last year.

Mark McCloskey, 64, pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor fourth-degree assault June 17. His wife pleaded guilty to second-degree harassment, also a misdemeanor, online court records showed.

Mark McCloskey was ordered to pay a $750 fine while Patricia McCloskey, 62, was fined $2,000. Both were ordered to turn over weapons used in the incident........

This is only going to encourage what shouldn't be encouraged.

It was bad enough the Republican Convention featured these assholes.

The McCloskeys went on to buy a bunch of new guns. Maybe Governor Parsons is afraid of them now.

Mark is running for Senate. Maybe the governor thought this would help his campaign.

Defending yourself from a mob of leftist terrorist???

That should ALWAYS be encouraged. :D

So, Ultimately,.they know they were guilty and by pleading guilty gave the Judge what he and the court ultimately wanted in lots of cases like this...for first time defendants to admit responsibility and remorse....which apparently they did.

Instead of clogging the courts with cases....they got a good fine and their guns taken away.

Seems about right to me. And it also gets the point across that the Mccloskey's were in the wrong.

Case closed, move on

The Governor is protecting them from a lawless DA who is ignoring Missouri state law to conduct a malicious political prosecution, aimed only at destroying two people financially who had every right to do what they did under Missouri law.

Nice fantasy you have....chuckles.

Show me where I'm wrong.

...and how would I do that.....it's your belief?

Provide a source for your arguments?

Ultimately, no one will ever know why the Gov. Issued a pardon...unless they say way.

Since the punishment seems to fit the crime here(the Mccloskey's were charged with crimes) that is enough.

The Mccloskey's....why they were charged with

FEDERAL CRIMES

Unlawful use of a gun
Tampering with evidence

No other crimes by the protest marchers and no charges have been files against any protestor.

The McCluskey's original stated they support BLM...it's a.funny way to show your support...I have to admit...but folks in the south are odd this way. Strange fruit indeed.

Bullshit, as usual. Deadly force can be used in Missouri against trespass in certain conditions. Being threatened by a mob being one of them, their use of firearms was legal under state law. The protesters had broken through a private gate on a private road leading into a gated community and were trespassing on the private property of the McCloskeys and threatening them. There was no violation of federal law. The local DA has no authority to prosecute federal law anyway. It was a gross political decision and a miscarriage of justice not to charge the protesters with trespass and go after the McCloskeys instead. That's why she was pulled off the job. Everything she did was motivated by her own racial bias. This is why months ago the Governor stated publicly he was going to pardon the McCloskeys. She brought those charges for one reason only. She knew she could destroy them financially before the courts eventually ruled in their favor. She was a racist bitch who weaponized the law in her state to go after political enemies. In other words she was your typical shit stained Democrat.

What does “deadly force” mean against a mob? Would one get to mow down everybody in sight?

They wouldn't....but Wrongwayturd would have us believe anything but the truth....the McCluskey's are racists and so is Wrongturd...and they feel justified to mow everyone down in sight who is "threatening" them....black people walking and exercising a Constitutional Right.

Nope, it sends exactly the right signal. Looting, rioting, violation of private property should be met with lethal if the situation warrants it.

America isn't arming up out of fear of the McCloskeys. They're arming up to be like the McCloskeys.

You are not allowed to use deadly force to protect property. I know some on this board have contrary illusions, but that is the law in every state.

100% accurate.

Arson injures and kills people all the time.

That's why it's a felony and considered a 'violent crime' federally and in most if not all state/local jurisdictions.
So? The McCloskeys were outdoors.
