Mississippi to Supreme Court: overturn Roe v. Wade

This is why this country must break up. The longer people deny reality...the harder it will hurt

Our conflict is largely social issues of various regions with a 1 size fits all federal law.

But we don't need to "break up" as in a total separation.

We can still share F-22's , driving laws and currency.

Just get a new A in to effectively replace the 10th amendment as THE amendment and re-define the boundaries of the federal government so that it can't be used as the bully stick for all these issues that states are more than capable of dealing with.

Progressives get to do progressive shit in their states, censor all the things, ban all the guns, eliminate all the private property.

Conservatives do conservative shit in theirs, Montana, Alaska and New Hampshire can do their libertarian things. Everyone wins.

I don't see why that's such a problem.

How about we do it into 50 semi-autonomous units, each with its own executive, legislature and court system, with only a small number of functions left to a central government?

By golly, that just might work!

Interesting idea. Would these units have any reserved rights?

I’m sure this is completely unrelated (tongue firmly in cheek), but on this very day the media has resurrected the “Kavanaugh is a rapist” narrative. Three years after Michael Avanatti, Christina Blasey Ford and the rest of the parade of crazy whores were sent scurrying back into their holes, the abortion machine is shitting bricks out of fear their worst nightmare might come true. Great teamwork by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse who planted the story, and his pals at CNN, NYT, The Guardian, USA Today, WaPo, etc. who are peddling it to their flocks.

So the tyranny of the majority wouldn't exist in these 50 semi-autonomous states???

Consider that in ruby red Montana, the traitor in chief received 344,000 votes to President Biden's 245,000 votes.

I love how the clowns on the right think that "their states" are overwhelmingly a bunch of Deplorables. You think they would have learned something from the 2020 election results in Georgia.

Texas will be the next state to dash the Deplorables hopes of a third reich in America

Odd...Republicans claim it is their right not to get vaccinated...but a woman's right to choose? Hell no.

The flaw there is that the vast majority of the tax revenues are paid by the blue states, California and the Eastern fringe. What incentive would they have to help the poverty stricken centre?

Not according to the Supreme Court. They probably know a little more about constitutional law than you do.

The bloody stool the neighbor's dog passed on the driveway after eating that cubic zirconia from Wal Mart knows more about Constitutional law than he does.

Maybe it's worth a shot....The New Untied States of America and the Americstan Territory.

People then choose....a place of Democracy.and Justice

Or

A land of free for all's, where white men dominate all others via their guns and authoritarian control.

That nonsense needs to stop

If they won’t do it, we’ll find someone who will. Time to storm the Supreme Court Building!

Health care is a basic commodity, states should not be allowed to pick 'n choose what health care is permitted.

Bobo's "pipe dream" would never happen, and HC is only a small issues, as is the military aspect.

Based upon the Quebec "separation" drives of the 1990's, including the actual referendum, there are illiterately no acceptable outcomes, which would allow a province ( or a state) to succeed from the country as it's own semi-autonomous "nation" that is going to be sell-able to the rest of the provinces or states.

I am not making this up, it is all there in the open from Canadian history. If you separate, then you become your own nation, the rest of the country from which you have separated is not going to let you have your cake and eat it too.

You want to go, then you are on your own, and let the negotiations begin. Treaties, debt, free trade, currency, passports, resources, interconnected jurisdictional infrasture....its a long list, literally thousands of lose ends to try and build in.

It would take years to decades to resolve all this politically, and the new "states" are the ones without the leverage.

If you look at why Quebec has STFU about separating, well most of that comes from the populace of Quebec learning that all the promises made about "sharing" after separation, were just the PQ's bullshit.

TROC said that ain't happening if you leave.....and the same will occur if a few "states" in the US try it....in clear English, it's either the same Federal Government across the board equally, or you fuck off and make your own "nation".

It will be interesting to see what SCOTUS does in the Mississippi case. Planned Parenthood is freaking out because their business prospects are diminishing. They’ve noted the facts below and afraid their long term revenue forecast could be revised even more downward following the Courts decision next year. They should consider diversifying into other lines of business. Nail salons, breast implants, and Botox might be attractive lines of business to consider.

Let’s look at the facts:
🔴 Today, nearly 90% of American counties are without a single abortion provider
🔴 27 cities have become “abortion deserts” because people who live there must travel 100 miles+ to reach a provider
🔴 There are 5 states with only 1 abortion provider

Planned parenthood is a not-for-profit organization (501)(c)(3). They rely upon charitable contributions mostly, sorta like BoBo.

Non-profits rely on revenue too. Re-read my comment. I referenced revenue, not profit. They collected about $1.6 billion from government reimbursements, grants, service revenue from non-government sources, donations, and other sources last year. They are the market share leader in the abortion industry. They are very worried about the impact SCOTUS might have on future revenue streams. Fewer service locations, fewer abortions, less service revenue. No question about it. The abortion industry is facing headwinds.

But....but....but...making something illegal doesn't stop people from doing it......right?

So what??

states should not be allowed to pick 'n choose what health care is permitted.

Why not??

Rob is so bothered by the fact that I have a military pension, he has to denigrate veterans benefits and thus veterans at large over it.

Classy :D
