Missing Part of the 80's

That's a lot of work for such a stupid post. Perhaps you'd be better off putting that energy into something useful like killing yourself.

Why don't you spend more time wondering why Woody Hayes is dismissed as a football coach?

Well.

I remember all of the sixties some of the seventies and most of the eighties and I have to tell you the Democratic presidents were not anything to brag about either!

Not to mention the polarities changed in the middle of all of that!

He's been dead for over 20 years. I figure that probably hurt his chances for a new contract.

LOL Good point. Though I'm talking about the 80's (Woody got fired in 1978 for those who don't know)

Being from Ohio with an Irish Catholic upbringing, I was raised to believe two things about college football:

1) Woody Hayes was the greatest fucking football coach whoever lived.
2) Never bet against the Irish.

Back to politics - all through the Republican primary, we were conditioned to ignore the Bush years (et. al.) and focus on who was most Reagan-esque. Romney's not the second coming of Reagan. Hell, Reagan wasn't even the first coming of the Reagan myth. And as Romney runs around trying to maintain tax cuts for the job creators - I roll my eyes. Trickle down didn't work then, it's not going to work now.

The economic recovery and the religious revival which were supposed to happen during the administration of Ronald Reagan were delusions.

Anyone who can't spell "repealed" has missed a lot more than just the 80s.

Spelling fixed - thank you. Blame how good the 70s were to me for those missing brain cells.

Some folks are too far gone to worry about, you're obviously one of them. I doubt Obama smacking you in the face with a wet mop for another term is going to make a difference. So be it, go for it.

Actually, a proud independent who has voted for either party, including the Bush/Gore election where I wrote in my wife's name as my choice. (Don't worry, I was in Missouri at the time - a state that understood how to use a ballot.)
