There was a court challenge to the law or regulation which went into effect last year. I saw a small article in the paper last Friday, I beleive, the judge had made a ruleing in this case. As I recall he said the law stands as it pertains to the movies industry, etc, but not to internet situations. I should have read it more closely - does anyone else have information on this? I am not very well versed with all this legal stuff.

Glad you are on top of this I hope you do better with it then your friends at ND did with their comeback. I read your link to the decision, and now I know I don't know anything about this legal stuff. Guess I better take another look at my books and see what I missed last semister. All I can figure out is the judge did a good job of saying a lot of things not many of us can understand, and that neither side is satisfied with - I suppose that is his job. Oh well, back to the end of a long holiday weekend, and to bed so I will be prepared for another work week. Keep us advised.

It appears to say that, for example, a content producer which does not maintain its own websites but merely sells content to others is required to keep 2257 records of the performers it hires, but the webmasters who post that material on the Web are not. Further, in such a situation, the content producer is not required to keep lists of any URLs, since none of the sites on which the materials appear are under its control, and the webmasters, who are not "producers" under this ruling, also are not required to keep lists of the URLs where the material appears, nor are they required to keep the identification records.

This would seem to state that LIterotica would be a secondary producer and thus exempt from having to keep 2257 records. We as posters would have to carry that burden. Or am I reasing this wrong?

Hello All:

Upon returning from my holiday festivities, I found several PMs asking about missing pictures. I PM'd Laurel, asking if it was a Lit glitch, or if images were removed.

Images HAVE been removed that are in violation of Lit's posting guidelines. A reminder of those guidelines can be found here:

The laws have changed, and Lit has had to change along with them, or risk being shut down for violating those laws. As those that run Lit do not want the site shut down (and I hope that you don't either), they have been removing pics as they find them. You can also help with this by a) not posting pics in violation of the guidelines, and b) reporting pics that are in violation as you see them.

Personally, I think it's a shame that the freedom that was had in posting previously (with SOME limitations) is no longer possible. However, if we want to avoid lawsuits, fines, imprisionment, etc. - as well as keep Literotica available to us, this is what we have to live with.

I keep the people around this website pretty busy, but why in the hell are the 3 or 4 pictures of my pussy being taken down, and the girl that has the thread "Girl Next Door" can have as many pictures of her pussy that she wants! I understand that they have the right to remove photos. Great super fantastic. BUT when mine are getting deleted, and other girls aren't, then that's bullshit. My picture was from like 3in below my belly button up, no labia, no vagina what so ever...and that gets deleted, but other girls can have pics of cucumbers up their twats and no one deletes that? that's terrible. and i don't appreciate you being a fucking dick either!
