I figured most models get paid for their work in money-making projects, though I suppose for a personal project you could find a guy over say... Fetlife who was interested in volunteering his modeling talents in exchange for getting a certain fetish fulfilled and copies of the photos. But I think that usually in for-profit gigs models get paid. Maybe it's different for porn... dunno.
At any rate, for personal or portfolio boosting projects I'm sure you could easily find models via Fetlife or whatever, and arrange a contract agreement. Certainly some models are willing to work for free to build their portfolio/experience as well. Just have to find the right person!
But money does always help to lube up that right person.

Dunno what you're planning on showing/doing.
There are a lot of concerns and a lot of planning if you are making adult media commercially or even for fun. Yes, you DO need model releases and ID's even on well beyond middle aged grown ass men. This is generally why there's some larger entity beyond a lot of those larger sites.
Know where you are storing your documents, because you probably don't want to make it your house. I've used a service called "2257 snap" and it's the cheaper of several such options, but you're always on the hook for about 120 a year just to never have to disclose your address on a webpage.
A lot of prodommes just put out the word "seeking video slaves" and there are plenty of irritating and high maintenance and downright creepy guys who will do this all for free, and then the three in 20 who are awesome!
If it was me, I'd probably look to pay and probably try and hire male models who are down with the naked and understand VERY well who owns what and how they are going to be represented and are OK with it.
