As I point out when Sean followed Vette to another thread to troll him on the issue, you don't have to read the article in it's entirety to understand the point from the lede.

A link with quote-worthy material that then links you to their premium portion of the site to read the rest is still a worthwhile link.

If you are a paying customer I don't think it is apparent which articles are teasers and which are available to the public in their entireity.

It is no different than those lists of "10 greatest...." where you have to arrow through them one slow-loading, ad-filled page at a time. No less annoying.
