The only thing I have to really be careful of with Mamid is that I have to be careful of how sore the nipples and breasts are. After all, she's had a little one nibbling and suckling at that part for quite some time every day. Then there is helping her get over her current case of mastitis which involved having to milk her. She was screaming in pain, but knew that if I didn't do it, things could get serious.

Then there's the mechanical breast pump we borrowed from a lactation group. Watching her nipple draw in and released. Then, of course, are the stupid lactation tricks, like spraying me with milk from 3 feet, or going for accuracy and trying to put cream in my coffee.

I'm so very glad she's mine.
