If any of you were wondering THIS is authoritarian control, not public health measures:

Thomas Kennedy, a Miami-based activist and member of the Democratic National Convention, said he was stopped by uniformed service members at a press event held at a National Guard armory.

"Just tried to get into a Ron Desantis press event in Miami and they literally had military personnel with FL Department of Law Enforcement documents with my photo and information waiting to stop me," Kennedy tweeted. "This how terrified Ron Desantis is of criticism."

He was also detained and then removed April 8 from another DeSantis event by Miami-Dade police, whose public records later showed had been warned by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement that Kennedy was a "known agitator."

Get it?

What are military personnel doing at a political rally? That's against regulations. They should get bounced out of the military for that and now that we aren't in any formal wars we can trim off the riffraff.

Yeah, can you imagine the outrage if the Dims/liberturds did something like that in DC. to prevent Repub Activists, like put up miles of razor fencing, call in 20,000 Nat Grd troops to block ALL entry onto public White House areas??

Oh, wait, they did!!!!

Were they active duty personnel or National Guard troops? It's hard to tell sometimes because they both wear the exact same uniform.

If they were active duty personnel in uniform (which I doubt very much) that's cause for outrage.

HOWEVER, if they were National Guard troops, which unless they have been activated to active duty fall under the command of the governor of the state in which they serve, it's a non-starter. A governor can use National Guard personnel for police purposes any time they want. Keeping an activist who has been disruptive in other gatherings from entering this one is appropriate, depending on Florida state law. Is it chicken shit? Sure, but not worth getting spun up about.

Why do people TRY to find things to get outraged about when there are some many real things to be considered? Manufacturing a crisis, for no other reason than to have a drama is total bullshit.
