Fri, I'm NOT making fun of people in the midwest, just wondered, I do too by the way.

Now, you're not REALLY hiding under my bed are you?

Lo

Oooh. Right across the river from good old MO! In Illinois, of course! :)

well lobito

Have you ever seen Bram Stoker's Dracula (especially that scene where they corner him in that closet)? Well, let's put it this way, Dracula got the good end of the stick and can turn himself into a giant pile of scary rats and stuff (quite an impressive feat). I got stuck with the ability to turn into a bunch of dust bunnies (a much less intimidating power). So in answer to your question, yes, I am under all your beds! <-- Not too scary lookin if you ask me. Oh well, you work with what you got.

not really

No, Closer to Chi-town-the northwest burbs of Chicago.

I'm here in the mid-west as well -- the state of Wisconsin to be more precise. And a mid-west get together sounds wonderful. I'll bring the chocolate sauce and message oil, but I don't have much leather.

Yea well, they had to limit our shape shifting abilities after I ruined it for the rest of them by constantly turning into a hot chick and molesting myself all night. lol The devil took most of them away and sent me to my room! :( On the bright side the only way Buffy can catch me is if she has a dust buster handy. lol

What exactly IS the midwest anyway?

My inlaws swear that Minnesota is the midwest, along with Michigan and Wisconsin... and that Missouri and Kansas are the 'South'...

Anyway, I'm sittin on the western edge of Missouri. I'll be in the St Louis area at the end of March. A couple days on the Missouri side and a couple days near Trenton IL.

Who wants to do lunch?

Kansas is the great plains, which stretch up to the border with Canada in North Dakota.

MN is the UpperMidwest. The term dates back to when Denver was the west - which they still think they are. People in Denver have trouble imagining anything happens west of them because they can't see anything but mountains over that way. That and the thin air leave them... well, dizzy about matters geographical. People from New York think the "west" begins in the western Chicago suburbs.

Missouri IS part of the south. Oddly enough, Florida isn't. Most southerners don't think Virginia is part of the south, either, but except for the northermost 7 counties one is hard-pressed to distinguish their culture from what one finds in Georgia...

See, the midwest conceptually heralds back to when the Rockies and the Mississippi River were each a substantial boundary in both the travel and cognitive sense, and since the Mississippi runs through (and originates in) the great state of Minnesota you really have to call it a part of the "mid" west.

People from New York think the "west" begins in Hackensack.

midwest here east central iowa make it st.louis about 3 or 4 times a year great city

a wi guy here......and i would luv a midwest gathering (i'd just need a little prep time so i could gnaw thru the ropes:D )

It's funny, but I've talked to quite a few people from the Sprinfield, IL area (where it seems Maddy must at least be NEAR) who think they are from the South... they talk with a Southern accent, they act like they wanna get out their confederate flags, etc...

I'm in Michigan, myself... from WI orginally.

Well is St. Louis Mo the meeting place?

I seem to be lost but I think I can find it on a map.

Seems central enough area to me the Northern'ers can come down and the Southern'ers can come up and the those from the either direction can drift in.....

Lets all meet on a River Boat!

What do say?
