Middle-Earth

Meliah

"Oh oh," Meliah whispered as she saw the dark elf turn and head in her direction. Anyone with an inkling of pyschic awareness was sensitive to scrying, what had she been thinking? She tensed in a defensive stance, but then remembered what she had seen in the water. A fight would be foolish, she would lose.

Much to her surprise, the elf was not overtly hostile. "I am Sael," he said. He stood there, perfectly balanced, like a very deadly dancer. This elf was not one to play with and if Meliah's eyes weren't playing tricks, she could swear he was scenting the air.

Extending her hand, she introduced herself. "I am Meliah. I'm sorry, I should have minded my own business. It was just that you seemed so sad, I couldn't ignore it." As he reached for her hand, she noticed something was not right. Not sure what, it suddenly became clear when he hestitated before taking her hand. He could not see! Never in a million ages would she have guessed from watching him move through the crowd. "Oh my, you must have the most amazing senses!" she exclaimed. "I'm sorry, that was unforgivably rude of me. I am going to be quiet now, before I stick my foot in my mouth any further."

Sael

actuall humor slipped into Sael's eyes at her comment... "please dont stop talking...your heart is a well spring gifted one..and it resonnates in your voice. what pray tell would you have done, gifted one, if a mob discovered your gift.. you must be cautious ...people fear what they do not understand... " Sael seemed to look in her direction."oh dont look at me like that..that is the price I pay...and the reason I seek absoloution before I pass on. you who's gift is life will be much more powerfull than me. but the path is long and lonely , the path to blood magic is swift and costly. I am very young for my kind, but my body is ravaged by the forces of the power I coveted. my curse has its uses" Sael gave a wicked grin.

OOC: Better know who I am. And actually the Anuir, are the gods. It's just I, Morgoth, greatest of the Anuir have been corrupted.(That is not my imagination, read the Silmarillion;))

Character: Mantack; looks like a mix between human and elf, nobody is really sure, can transform into another "mystery" shape at will. He is a powerful warrior. He has light blonde hair and dark blue eyes. He is extremely well muscled and wears a blue shirt and an orange shirt when not in battle. He brandishes one of two weapons, a flamberge(jagged two-handed sword) or a spear. He is said to have Maia, Harad, Elf, and Human blood in him.(One thing must be understood- he lost all Maia powers)(He is not a god!!)

IC: Mantack was walking through the crowd when he bumped into a dark elf."Why hello there, brother(elves believe that they are all brothers and sisters, no matter what kind), how are you?" he asked, and took his arm and put it to his heart.

Terrick:

I felt a deathly cold breeze blow past me.THe elf in me picked up on the dark elf and I watched him have a interesting conversation with a young woman who's race I couldnt determine,"Why,is that sael,Yes it is,"I said to myself "Hey Sael, remember me," i called without thinking

been distracted sorry my dear roland...

(personal probs...haven't felt like posting)

GAIA:
I blushed at his question. "Actually...I...haven't gotten new clothing in such a long time...I have no clue...why...what is wrong with my clothes." I wrinkled my nose a bit. Setting my jaw, then remembered that I owed him, dearly. He was being extremely kind. "I'm sorry...my temper...It gets the best of me." Chu was fidgeting on my shoulder, I mumbled some words absently, and he turned to a small mouse, He crawled into my pocket. "I suppose that my clothing isn't as nice as yours." I frowned, as I mumbled that last sentence.

Lothius

Character:
Lothius, a young human male thief, but he rather calls himself 'an Entertainer'. He's dressed completely in blue, with the exception of his black leather boots and gloves. The blue matches the colour of his eyes. His light brown curled hair just doesn't reaches his shoulders. His only weapons are his charming smile and big blue eyes.

Ic:
Lothius was standing near the entrance of the great big hall where the feast King Aragorn anounced was beginning to get started. His eyes checked out every person entering the hall, carefully looking for the person who could help him with his plan. He had seen quite some different people, and not only by race, but he decided to wait some more. There has to be someone who could make him famous and important, he was tired of being the charlatan and pickpocket. It was time to be a hero, perform great deeds, and to impress women on his way to fame.

Meliah

Sael was utterly fascinating. "Yes, you are right about keeping a low profile, humans aren't always that tolerant of Elvenkind, even half-elves." Looking closely, she could see what he meant by his power taking it's toll. It was as if something or someone had cast a shadow over him that greyed and fuzzed the edges.

"Blood magic? I've not heard much of that, but then few have ever explained any of the lore of such things to me. Most of what I know has come through trial and error. The scrying I just did, I discovered that as a child, playing in puddles. It wasn't until I was much older, I learned to direct it. I also learned it was much more powerful during sex."

She was shocked with herself, why had she told him that? Vanya, he must think her a harlot now. Really for someone her age, Meliah sure didn't display much sense sometimes. Trying to change the subject, she asked, "Are you familair with Minas Tirith? You seem fairly confident moving around the city."

ooc

Ok, folks I am terribly sorry for neglecting my thread. It's just that I realized that I should ave put some more thought into this before starting, plan the plot development a bit more. I though that I'd let it die and start it again later, better prepared, now you've already set the relations going, I guess I'd jolly well sit down and think up a story. I'll be posting as soon as I'll have something worked out.

Once again, please accept my apologies folks.

Lothius

Lothius takes a deep breath, 'everybody seems to be inside, I'm not in the mood for waiting longer', so he puts his juggling balls in his pouch, stands up and walks into the hall, becoming a part of the feasting crowd. While he's moving towards the centre of the hall he gives his eyes no rest, observing almost every person. Almost every person, because when he's for a moment distracted by dark elven lady he crashes into a servant carrying a plate with all kind of snacks for the guests. The servant girl screams out of suprise, and with great noise the plate with snacks smashes onto the ground. Everybody in the hall stops speaking, making the feast completely silent for a moment. Lothius starts to blush and quickly helps the servant from the floor, after which he starts picking up the snacks and placing them on the plate. He hands the plate over to the servant, who's looking not so happy, than Lothius notices all the eyes of guests around him are looking at him, so picks up a snack from the floor, puts it in his mouth and says 'Delicious! Nothing wrong with eating from a clean floor!' He smiles, apologies to the servant and moves on into the crowd, still blushing like hell.

Destiny steps in...uninvited

Sael grinned grimly at Meliah." Yes I am 'familiar' with MInas Tirth, though it has been some time since i have returned." Sael pondered for a moment then the smile was genuine..."you display the true art and you have unwitingly unlocked it's secrets...mayhaps fate has chosen you for something ...do not blush you spoke truly your powers will react more strongly when laced with the spectrum of emotion. the easiest to channel is anger hatred jealosy... these come quicly and leave you spent hollow and ravaged... but true power ...flows from the wellspring, compassion, ecstasy and true love. these emotions increase even as they are channeled..." Sael sighed..."but these emotions are far to rare for a world that is begining to forget how close we came to oblivion...sometimes I feel we were better of when we had so many enemies to fight that we HAD to be friends..." Sael raised his head slightly and then shuddered as if run through with a sword...he composed himself smiled and his eyes shifted as if he could see...all though it was obvious to meliah that he still couldnt. "Destiny intervenes ..we have been noticed I would usually comply with the 'better' part of valor but im beging to think that there is some purpose in our meeting perhaps my absoloution lies within a fellowship.." He turned in time to fake a smile at a stranger who called him brother..he exchanged pleasentries and asked the Elf what his purpose was at the festival today. Suddenly his eyes lost their focus.... "my my now I have no doubt powerful forces are at work we have a hybrid fallen star, a gifted paragon, a washed out nexus now all we need is..." he tried to be friendly but it was as if he was waiting for lightning to strike suddenly someone called out his name across the crowd and there was the shudder again. "pardon me" Sael calmly manuevered to Terrick grabbed his tunic roughly and said "Terrick just because these people belive peace reigns now is no reason to scream my true name across the masses, true names are power and if you truly want to have me in danger why dont you just axe me and be done with it..."
he glared for a second and sighed.."Oh well Come join us you mercenary, perhaps your beloved axe will be neccessary in the darkness to come.."he manuevered him back and bowed to the group..."let us move this august group to a more private setting I am sure destiny will step in when she feels we are ready until then let us have a ....drink"

gaia

I meekly went to the dressing room. Remembering CHU can be a pesk, I tossed the rodent in the air, I allowed it to pick it's form, apparently it liked the dragon form, It flew over my shoulder and towards rolando. I closed the curtain and took off my clothing. Thankfully I had bathed that morning. I put the dress on, marveling at how the white material contasted my dark skin so much. I walked out, my other clothing tied inside my jacket. "Um...is this how it is to fit?" i reffered to the slight tightness of it.

Lothius

Still cursing himself for the accident his ignorance brought him into Lothius wanders through the crowd, searching for that one person from whom he could learn. He felt somehow this person was attending the feast.
Suddenly Lothius stood still, there, being the centre of a little group of people a man was standing, he looked like an elf, but than again he didn't. Somehow the man gave him shivers, like a cold breeze over his body. Was this the person he should observe and learn from? Lothius decides to wait and observe the man, finding a way to contact him.

(Oc: Hope you don't mind Inkubus, but I can't keep playing on my own forever.)

Meliah

Meliah's eyes narrowed at the unexpected interruption. It didn't take an empath to tell Sael was not pleased. Quietly observing their exchange, she heartily agreed when Sael suggested they find somewhere to have a drink. Taking his arm, not because he was blind, but because she did not want to get separated in the crowd, the trio made their way to a small, out of the way taverna. Stepping inside, she noticed that while she and the strange elf hesitated while their eyes adjusted to the dim light, Sael's steps felling unerringly. She smiled, not only was he extremely capable for a blind man, he was extremely capable for any man.

The bar wench brought them three mugs of mead. As they sipped the honeyed sweetness, Meliah turned to Sael and asked, "There seems to be epic sagas woven around you, a history almost. My passion is storytelling, perhaps I could persuade you to tell a few?" She stared into his eyes. They were the clear violet of amethysts. What kind a need could have driven him to exchange sight for power? Even in the dim light, his hair shown like a raven's wing, so black, it was almost blue. Despite Sael's harsh exterior, she was sure his hair was as soft as silk. Suddenly, she was nearly overwhelmed with the desire to run her fingers through it.

*He smiles softly* Just like that...My Dont you look like quite the Beautiful young lady..No one will ever suspect. *he giggles a bit* Now...*he offers his hand* So Long as you can keep your friend..Chu Wasnt it? Quite the little attraction he is...I like him...Interesting..*he smiles widely, taking her hand* We should get along now..You look Simply Marvellous you know...*he kisses her softly on the cheek* So Sexy..*he winks*

Dice with destiny

The further he walked the more he was sure his decisions werent his own... Sael could feel powerfull forces at work here. Meliah placed her arm to hold Sael...it was out of kindness not pity, or deceit..it strike like a rainfall and fell upon his parched soul.. he realized that she was more powerfull than she knew...and wondered to himself if she could heal him...he brushed the thought away ..he needed his pain..it drove him even when he had nothing else...he returned to his musings about a fellowship...one banded together by a common cause ..and whose end result would save or doom the world...the thought gave him shivers as he marveled at the fact that absoloution may be at hand..suddenly he felt it again....he sighed to himself as they entered the tavern...as much as he wanted privacy he knew this group was only half complete..especially since they would have to split up later as his nightmares had foretold...he motioned to Terrick..."come now merc...behind us is a young lad who follows us he is neccesary get to know him and join us later" He slowly whsipered the basics about where the eavesdropper was and slipped away into the sahdows of the tavern...

Sael

Sael stepped out of the light and was comforted by the shadows. slowly he allowed his senses to enfold the gifted one who looked upon him...he could not see...but her voice was sweet and confident...like a bird who speaks without knowing how beautiful its song is. he could feel a glow about her and suddenly he realized it was intensifying...her powers were engaging and she didnt even realize it...he pondered this as he sipped his mead.she moved closer to him and he sensed the glow intensify... the warmth melted the sahdows around his heart and slowly began to pierce the wall of secrecy around it...he gently but firmly touched her hand.."please gifted one... if that is a journey you wish to take then I prefer you travel it when not so many would follow your lead.." he looked in her direction silently telling her how much she almost learned, but that now he could not open his heart ...he drank deeply of his mead and slowly his eyes shifted again..he smiled and looked as if nothing had happened...

Meliah

Listening to Sael speak, she caught further glimpses of what lay behind his walls. Suddenly, the wall closes. Meliah flinched at the nearly tangible effect. Saddened, but understanding his reasons, she nodded. Somehow she knew he could sense the nod.

While there was still some time alone, she added, "When you decide you are ready to let someone in, I will be here. In the mean time, I understand, there are things to be accomplished."

Sael

Sael almost audibly sighed... Meliah could feel him almost buckle at her words... he was tired and obviously conflicted but in the end he recomposed himself and once again had the look of destiny's alcolyte...'pawn' he pondered to himself... as a last thought he added "there is much I must atone for, and much that we are called to do...but if this world grants me a time to heal...I would turn to your gifts without hesitation.."

Meliah

Smiling despite her disappointment, Meliah took a drink of her mead. She hated to see anyone suffer. Looking around discreetly, she leaned in and asked, "Sael, where is that other elf? And who is it we are waiting for?"

Sael

"I dispatched Terr to retrieve a shadow we had aquired ... as for whom we are awaiting... were that I knew..." Sael looked bitter for a second..."I can feel things and see them as they may be... and I know that we are only half complete our fellowship will grow, and a dark time will come , some of us will travel together and some alone, but all will be focused on one goal..." Sael stared off into space... "some of us will travel for the last time...but if we do not ..all will be lost. It is not I who gathers you all, there are stronger forces at work, and I follow the flow of destiny in the hopes that its river will clean me of my sins before I die..."

Lothius

Lothius followed the little group. They went into a taverna, he knew that if he also would go in it was harder to spy some more on them. He just needed a little more time to work out a plan so he sat down on a bench in front of the taverna from which he had a pretty nice view inside the taverna through a small window. but where did they go? They couldn't have left? Suddenly he sees the man with the peculiar bone axe coming out of a shadowy corner of the tavern.

Gaia

(Ooc. I'm sorry, it isn't fair to you, but I like this thread, maybe with the new thread he may start, all will be better. For now, I like the current one, however.....I am going to be gone December 22 to the Jan 2. So I don't know what to do with my char, Maybe you have a suggestion, maybe just put it on hold... for now....here we go.)

I smiled at him, the kiss on my cheek made me blush fervently. Then the word, "sexy" escaped his well-formed lips, and I was lost in my own little fantasy world. I was snapped out of it when Chu made a ruckus. Frowning, "I am not sure what to do with him." I stared up into his eyes, he seemed to be laughing with them. I lifted the hem of my dress up. I wiggled my toes and let the dress back down. "this dress is so...." I was in awe. "You didn't have to, you shouldn't of....WHy?" I was talking rapidly. And in the process my dear Chu was rapidly changing to different animals himself, In my excited state it appears I had unintentionally have strung my emotions with the changing of his appearance.

OOC **I lIke this thread*

OOC** I apoligize for taking liberties but I have maintained a vaugness so far so as not to directly step on anyones toes.. the problem is were developing a story now, and the thread is taking off..I think it has a alot of potential and I dont want to abandon that..in the end this is not MY thread ...and although were kind of forming a group here I will respect the thread founders wishes..

OOC: Could somebody place me somewhere, please? And just how did I know that Roland was here. I didn't think he'd miss out on a good Middle-Earth thread.
