It is with great sadness that I write to inform her many readers and correspondants of the untimely death of Michelle S.

She died on the surgeons table last week due to a reaction to one of the drugs administered.

She was twenty-four and she was my friend.

I can feel for yu. I am alcohol and drug counselor and I've seen many people suffer greatly from drug use. Sadly, a few of my friends have died as the result. In memory of your friend and of all the good people who have passed this way,

Whilst she was no angel and had used a number af substances in the past the one that killed her was given by a Doctor.

It would have been almost easier had it been one of the other's.

I too have know people who have shortened their lives considerably through the use of drugs/alcahol but in this case it was not like that.

I suppose it is the suddeness that hurts most. That and the knowledge that I will never have the chance to say goodbye.
