i'm not a Michael Jackson fan, and didn't see the first interview, but i'm watching this one, and i really feel bad for him... honestly, he's a person just like us. it's sad what the media can do to a person...

It just really bothers me because while he is not a "normal" person, he is also not as sick as everyone thinks he is. I dont agree with some of the stuff he's said or done and its possible that he needs some counseling for some of his issue but I think people just need to lay off of him.

We all like to think that we can judge him, but in all fairness none of us are on his level. Very few will be able to relate to him and his experiences.

*Ok, I'm ready to be flamed*

The show is over. Now I know that they play a lot of commercials, but would you believe that I recorded the 2 hour show sans commercials and there was only 1 hour and 2minutes. Thats 58 minutes of commercials! Its crazy. But ya know what? I still  Michael.

Do we follow you to your posts or interests and tell you to get a life??
You may not have, but others have - maybe not in so many words, but the rough equivalent.

Heretic, this was rudeness Im not used to seeing form you.
I apologize if you thought it was rude - it wasn't meant as such, but I do strongly believe that people follow the lives of celebs way to much, give them something almost akin to worship, and in general seem to live the celeb's life vicariously. I think it is pitiful. So shoot me.

As Kym said in her thread, there are a lot of other people out there that are engaged in more laudable endeavors, teachers, social workers, medical people. Do they get the worship and celebrity that actors and musicians do? No! Do they deserve it more than actors and musicians do? Hell yes! A lot more.

So, no, I don't feel sorry for celebs, I don't worship them, and I don't care to know every little detail of their lives. They are boring and pitiful.

I think Mikey is certifable...But I also think he got skrewed in the first interview.......

I don't know the man. I don't know what he did. I barely know what people say about him because I can't escape people talking about him - even here. I don't know the facts one way or the other, and therefore I can't judge him, or feel sorry for him, or relate to him. He is an entertainer, a rich and famous one. All I ask of entertainers is that they entertain. I don't care about their personal lives. The people that interest me to the point of knowing about their personal lives are people like Milton Friedman, von Hayek, Bertalanffy, Thomas Paine, Lt. Col. John George, Dr. Ezell, Phillip B. Sharpe, Julian Hatcher, Bradford Angier, William Brennan, Major von Dach, Robert Spear - people like that. How many people here even know who half those people are, much less what their lives were like?

I agree that the the guy who interviewed him, screwed Mike over, but Michael Jackson has lost touch with reality and that's the "truth"

I didn't see the interview, but I've seen clips of some little very gay looking boy cuddling with MJ during the interview. What the fuck is up with that? Was he a minor? If so, where were his parents?

Poor Michael.

CBM, that was Gavin, the little boy with cancer.
Both he and his parents believe that Michael helped cure him by befriending him.

Once she comes in, and bashes your interest, then you can bash hers.
Oh sorry, I forgot that women get to go first.

Come on - people bash my interests and opinions all the time. I'm sorry if I came across as rude, but I do have a thing about the obsession people seem to have with celebs. I tend to respect people more for what they think, for courageous acts they may have done, rather than for how famous they are, for how good they are at decieving people (that is what acting is at its core), for how good they are for throwing, kicking or hitting a ball, or for how good their voice is.

All of those names I listed? Those are names of authors of books I have on my shelf, or names of people that I have books about. I don't have one book about actors, singers or sports celebs - I don't know why their lives should be more interesting or even as interesting as some of the people I listed, unless I hungered after their fame or wanted to live their lives vicariously - and I don't.

To me, most celebs are just pitiful people who got caught up in our current obsession with famous and talented people. I don't think they are intelligent or wise or virtuous - fame tends to have the opposite effect on such people - so they don't interest me.

... and what is the deal with those obviously White kids? Are they supposed to be Michael Jackson's biological children?

The child was filmed without his parents permission, theres a pending lawsuit.

Gay looking boy??
The child had an extremely hard life, surviving cancer. Hes 12 years old!! Gay looking? sheesh. The childs mentality im sure is stunted, hes been sick. Its hard to be socially mature when you are not even supposed to be alive, and ill for that long away from children your own age.

As I said above, I didn't see the interview. All I saw was a 10 second clip of a boy laying his head on a 45 year old man's shoulder and looking up at him fawningly. I don't know a thing about his medical history. And while I feel for any child's suffering, I don't think that it would affect his sexual preference.
