The earliest notice I had that my latest story had been
posted was a piece of anonymous feedback. It said
essentially that any story mentioning contraception would
get a '1' vote from that reader. Now that raises several
issues.

First, I don't think that this is fair voting. I've criticised
"poetry" which doesn't scan. I wouldn't go through the
poetry pages of Literotica, however, voting ones for every
offering which doesn't scan.
Even worse would be somebody who doesn't like homosexuality
going through the gay subdirectory voting '1' each time.

A second issue is realism. Adults of our day *think* about
the consequences sometime around the sex act. Maybe not
at the moment of penetration, but if you depict the other
times of the relationship, you will see periods when the
couple either uses contraception, or is very conscious that
they haven't done so.

Or is my correspondent in favor of having more children?
If so, his language is inaccurate. In the stories in
which my characters are seriously trying to make a baby, they are -- if anything -- more conscious of teh absence of contraception than they ever are of its presence.
