Menstrual Hut

One of the funniest things I ever heard was "No shit men fear women. They can bleed for seven days and not die." It only makes sense that many cultures make this an "unclean" time for women. It reduces their power. Put them in a hut where they can be away from the others.

.

THE LAW OF MOSES

Actually their was a real biological reason for the "hut" as proven in a AMA study I once read some 20 years ago done by a Jewish MD on Jewish Orthadox couples who practiced no sex in accordance with the old testament Law of Moses. Where the husband "did not in unto his wife until ten days after her time..." What he found was that there was a 60 plus percent chance of a male child being conceived. Apparently the PH of the vagina changes and the male sperm has a better chance of survival to fertilize the egg as it is a faster swimmer than the female sperm which is a stronger more vital sperm and can stand a higher acid enviroment.

If you are going to on a mission of conquest, you need male warriors. The land of Caanan needed to be conquered before the "Chosen people" could posses it. So an army had to be raised- a male army. FYI if a husband went in unto to his wife before the 10 days- he could be stoned to death:eek:

Also FYI, the Quoran contains this same law. About 35 years ago Wahabi Sunni Imans went through out Islam preached this LAW. If you will check the CIA fact book, I think you will find of the 1.3 to 1.4 billion muslims in the various nations of the world (most are in the SW pacific NOT THE MID-EAST) most are male and under the age of 35.

The worst thing about this time of life is you never know....Some spotting? Put on the 'works' and nothing comes of it. Go 30, 40 days with nothing and then such an outpour I've had to wear two overnighter maxi's end to end just to work and still have to change every hour or so.

Why can't it just stop the way it started? Like a light switch it started when I was 11 and like a light switch I want it to go off. My mom says I have ten more years of this to go....

that does not ease my mind.

Every family is different, if you have the resouce ask your mom and other female blood realtives what their experinces were and you'll get a good idea.

My friend was adopted and her family was like, like haven't you started yet? Because her birth family were late bloomers.:rose:

I was thinking about this very thread in the car on the way to work this morning. Serendipitous!

Miss fishy, miss the Red Hut. Here it is, and I'm jonesing for chocolate and a good cry. Where's the fish?!

Long time no see, nor the book.

And yes, I'm still not bleeding.

Girls girls girls - how many times can I say it? Go to your gyno and ask them about that uterine ublation thingy! FABULOUS! I don't even need a mini pad most months. And this is after 2 years of ruining all my sheets, pants and panties.

Now - it does nothing for pain or mood swings. But at least there's not a bit mess to clean up on top of all the rest.

Best thing I ever did.

They put you to sleep! It takes less than an hour - AND even MY crappy insurance covered the procedure.

It has been fabulous...
