Jade and ree, I'm in here with you for another day or so. Don't shoot me though, because I actually forget I'm having my period. It is fairly easy for me.

I've suggested this before, but I'll do it again. Go to this site
http://www.keeper.com/ and order the product! I've used it for several years now. It holds quite a bit and is MUCH better than any "super absorbency stuff" you'll find. Cheaper in the long run, too. I am able to empty once in the morning when I get up and once at night when I get home from work. That's it.

I am currently reading The Red Tent and it is so good! I would pass it on, but I borrowed it from someone at work.

My period story. I got mine when I was 10 (almost 11). I was in 5th grade and this was before they showed the enlightening video . My mom didn't explain anything to me before hand and afterwards either. She did offer to let me miss school the next day, but I refused. My mom is very old fashioned when it comes to periods. She still thinks that you can't use tampons if your a virgin.

Right after I first got my period, I got it again. Twice a month for me! (How exciting) My mom thought it must be because of these pills I was taking for my thyriod (I was fat then too). The doctor said that the pills didn't cause it though. But when I stopped taking them, I stopped getting my period twice a month.

I never had cramps until a few years ago. But I still don't get them that often and only painfully sometimes. So I'm lucky in that. And I've never taken Midol or anything like that during my period. The only thing that does hurt is my legs. During my period it sometimes feels like I've just run 3 miles, even when I'm sitting down they hurt! I do get really bitchy the week before my period starts. Everything makes me mad! But after my period starts, the temper goes away slightly. I also crave chocolate and potato chips!

Since I stopped getting my period twice a month, I've been pretty regular. That was until last year when I didn't get my period for 6 months. It came back when I quit my job, coincidence? The last month I had my period for 14 whole days. That was fun. I'm hoping this month it only lasts five days!

How the luck changes!!! I was pissy and worried about getting a job and then yesterday my period ended and I got the job that I really wanted. Wooohooo!!! (I know it is just a coincedence but it works for me. LOL) Just thought I would share the good news.

Being a woman can be the best thing in the world - or the worst! My system is SOOOO screwed up! My period NEVER stops!

THIS SUCKS!

Here's the story, for some reason about 18 months ago, I started spotting every day - I was on the pill, so the doc changed me to another one. That didn't help. So....I just stopped taking them - don't you love when we self diagnose and we're right!!!! The spotting stopped.

But...when I got back on them 2 months ago, it started again! I'm so pissed!!!!!!

But this week it's the real deal, so here I am!

I have major and roaring PMS right now.

I'm moving.
I'm divorcing.
I can't find a job in my field.
My friends are being idiots about my divorce.
My car needs something done to its transmission.
I wake up hyperventilating at 3am cuz i don't know how to hang a picture or where the gas shut off is in case The Big One hits tomorrow (i live in CA's earthquake country).
I'm never going to have another child and i don't want the bother of my periods at all anymore, much less the instability of this PMS that preceeds it.

I'm a mess - and this PMS is making me a wild shrieking mess.

My period will start in another 7-10 days. Can i come sit in here, in the calm and quiet, with y'all until then? Please? I don't want to do anymore packing... i'm sick of fucking packing.

Fishy, i'm sorry. And i understand feeling like shit for too long, too. Though mine is a different kinda feeling like shit, none of it's any good. Additionally, you gotta know you'll be healthy again soon. Summer is right around the corner and summer chases flu bugs away like they're dust and it's lemon-scented pledge.

Cym - I can understand completely about the whole Divorce thing (hugs), though I was lucky enough to be able to tackle the problems one at a time, I moved out, then got myself a new job, THEN started to worry about the divorce and how my family/friends were going to deal with it.

I was also lucky that once I told everyone WHY I had left they were completely on my side.

For all you other ladies, Hang in there I can sympathise with the pain, although the painkillers kept me out of hospital this time it was still really painful - I just hope that the specialist appointment comes through soon and they can give me something that works a bit faster and better than what I have at the moment!

I also want to say don't worry about sending me the red tent, I found a copy in my local supermarket last night and brought it

I will be traveling childless this trip and I will make sure to stop by for a visit. It would be great to go out to dinner one night as well, don't you think?

Well I got a nice surprise this afternoon. I started a whole week early. I hate when this happens. I had no signs at all that I was about to start. A total surprise.

I hate my f*cking period. I started today after two days of total bitchiness. I felt like crying all day today. Now I am all fucking fat and feel ugly. On top of that , I am dying from cramps.
To ease my agony, I am systematically biting the heads off of Gummi Bears. Kind of makes me feel better, since I am pretending that they are men.
It is only the first day, so in two days, I should be fine. I thought tha since this is the menstrual hut, I would come in and rant!!
