For those of you interested in attending a weekend meet on the Northeast side of Texas October 31 - November 2 pay attention. I am organizing this venture with a theme in mind that will consist of topic discussions about the lifestyles for the curious, newbies, and vets; toy vendors for demonstrations and information and adult games; in a setting located in a weekend house on the lake for lodging with meals and drinks provided (alcohol and non-alcohol). More details will be provided at a later time. The requirement to be considered for a formal invitation to this meet will be in the form of a written biography. In your biography you will need to provide the following information: *Please only serious inquires*

Anyone else uncomfortable with the fact that someone who is newly registered is asking for our full names, photos, and personal information? Or am I just being paranoid?

You are not.

i was wondering the same thing.

Ditto.....does not seem the usual invitation Lit posters are used to...and why would someone living in Maryland organise a get together by invitation in Texas? I admit I am not likely to draw a map of the USA with every state in it's rightful place but was undser the impression they were not neighbouring states even.

Um, you forgot the photo. Photos are very important you know. Provides the visual and all.

I can't even believe this person posted this....

Good call, fellow litsters.

Anyone who is looking for such detailed personal info with only a minimal amount of info is someone to be wary of.

Goddess?

Please, read the stickies at the top of the page as well as the lit guidelines.

Do not post e mail addresses or any other personal info.

Also, as you do try to arrange this, be very careful not to trod anywhere near promoting another site or otherwise, creating spam.

If you are legitimate, I wish you good luck.

:rose:

Sorry Goddess, I'm not that gullible. You get name rank and serial number IF you get that at all. Personally, I feel that submissives need not apply, seems to me like someone is looking for Dom info.

Introducing Myself

I wanted to spend a bit of time introducing myself and maybe my post will be met with more of an adult welcome, instead of the petulant and childish ones I seem to be noting on this thread. It really disheartens me to see such a paranoia reign here, but by design and comments being made it's not hard to see where such things are borne.
I can assure each one of you that has decided to take the negative stand first, before taking the energy you have spent in drawing these false conclusions of the individuals intent; maybe taking a step back with a positive outlook, that hey someone is actually trying to do something to better our lifestyles. I can speak for the lady who posted this opening thread as one of the most genuine and sincerely individuals a person could wish to meet.
As for myself and a need to come to this thread and verify my own intent, to a mob crowd that seems to be on a witch hunt, to defame and demoralize an individual for trying, check again, I refuse to stoop to the level of such pettiness. I am quite sure this childishness will not stop after my post, for those of you who spewed venom the first time, will most likely feel the need to defend yourselves and the poor examples you have set already.
If by chance any of you happen to be lifestylers, interested in joining us for a meet in Texas, my home state, in my local area, then feel free to contact me, the company name is
F.I.C. & Associates llc., phonebooks exist in Texas and we even list our phone numbers on the damn web, this crazy land of paranoia.

I bid you well,

Matthew Johnson

Having a holier than thou attitude about this forum is typical for one such as you.

First of all, did either of you bother to read the guidelines for posting here and on Literotica in general? No, I did not think so.

What happen to your partner in crime was justified.

I bid you well,

Eb

Crybaby!!:p

Come on, you have to admit, someone with less than a dozen posts advertising a meet, and aslking for personal information, does seem to be fishy. Especially someone we don't know, who is in Maryland, advertising a Texas get-together?

And what is an 'F.I.C.'?

The main issue is that the post violated forum guidelines. If the person had taken the time to read the guidelines for posting, there would have been no need to make fun of it.

True...but then we wouldn't have had all this fun!!:D

I do find that he has a lot of balls to accuse us of having a "witch hunt " and other accusatory language when he and his partner in crime are in the wrong.

Attacking when you are in the wrong shows Me that he is not any better than anyone here on this forum.

At least we can read.

MJ, you may choose to take offence and vouch for the previous poster, but no offence meant, we also know nothing about you either so that makes yuor recommendation of lkittle value. I would also suggest there are such things as safety, and protocol on boards such as these, and most 'serious lifestylers' would recognise this as a given. For all we know you could both be one in the same person, and a crazed killer for all we know.

As for someone trying to better our lifestyles, that to me seems rather judgemental and along the lines of 'if you want to know how it's really done come let us tell you'. If you had been a regular you would already know we have more than one get together of BDSM posters organised, so are not feeling like scraping in gratitude to someone coming here to tell us how to behave toward strange posters who ask a lot of details without even bothering to introdus\ce themselves and get to know anyone.

I live a 24/7 lifestyle and live it safely. Accepting the word of a stranger who has a dictatorial approach does not fall into the category of safe behaviour IMO. If this offends I am sorry, but if you are serious and honest, as well as in the lifestyle for real, you will see where the approach went wrong and rightly alerted the community here to protect their own and demand some answers which the original poster never answered.

AND the forum guidelines were violated!:D

Actually, EB, as usual, has pointed out the main "offence". Lit does not allow the type of posting that goddess made. It is perfectly within MissT's discretion to remove this thread entirely because of violating Lit's stance on this.

So, MJ, perhaps it would have served you better to actually read the forum guidelines before passing judgement on all here? You would have looked less an ass.

MJ, I am just throwing my 2 cents in here, but myself and another Lit regular recently organized an upcoming get together for the people of this board. To do so we did not ask any personal information of anyone attending, because it is unecessary. We posted all information regarding the what, when and where, and had those planning on attending make their own reservations. Number one it is just easier that way, and number two, it gives a sense of privacy still.

Think of it in terms of safety, and basic common sense, would you give out all of that information to someone you did not know?

So please, before you judge the comments of this thread, take your own advice and step back.... look at it logically. Not to mention in agreement with Eb that you did violate the rules for posting.

If you are serious about your gathering, then may I suggest that you post more details, dates, times, locations, any specifics.... then just allow people to express interest. Safety first! :D
