from time to time posters here at lit pose medical questions. i know their are a few people here with various medical backgrounds as well as those who may have information to offer based on their own personal experiences.

when the boards go thru a "busy stage" it is easy to miss some of these threads, so by posting your questions here, you can bump the thread and hope to find what your searching for!

and at least this way i can put some of those damn dusty books i have back to good use!

remember ladies and gents...even though you will get many different views here...ALWAYS ALWAYS SEE A HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL. we can only speculate here, so please if you can take the time here to talk to board memebers..do yourself a favor and call your doc as well! cheers:)

Cool, I was about to make a thread to bitch about the fact that..

My legs keep going numb to the point that I can't walk, even in the middle of actually walking.

Hm, once in awhile I'll wake out of a sound sleep and my hands will be completely numb.

The leg thing happens randomly. I can be sleeping, sitting, standing and the other day I was walking through the living room and I almost broke my ankle because it went numb so fast and completely.

It's not nice-tingly-sleep numb either, its complete numbness and then it tingles to the point that it hurts - badly.

Poor circulation

Actually, I do have poor circulation, and I have iron-deficiency anemia but it's never been this bad, not even close. This has been happening many times a day for the past two months or so.

the hands could be something as simpke as carpal tunnel syndrome but the leg thing has me concerned...periperal neuropathies( nerve injuries ) can cause these type of symptoms...if you have a family doctor i would certainly reccomend to see him or her...i am sure they will start out simple by checking your serum chemistries sodium potassium magnesium and the like and also check you vit b-12 level. certain diseases such as perniscious anemia can cause some of the symptoms you have!

from there the doc can order x-rays ct scan or mri to further diagnose your problem and start treatment!!

I get headaches on the left side of my had quiet often.

I've also had them happen while the left side of my face goes numb, slowly working down to the tip of my fingers.

Usually takes one of my very precious stash of vicodan, or a t3 to get rid of the headache, while the numbness subsides in a matter of minutes.

It's odd to have half your face go numb. Your eye starts kinda twitchin.

Actually, I thought that for quite a while, but while I was pregnant with Gillian (my 1 year old), I asked, and none of the regular symptoms matched up, and the migrain meds he got me didn't really touch it.
