I've just been diagnosed with Stage 1 cervical cancer. I just want to know, is there anyone here that can tell me whats ok and whats not... thing is we are into a lot of fisting, object rough stuff and I dont want to do this and have it have an effect on the cancerous cells.
What safe and whats not... do we need to stop??
Thanks

not for nothing, but shouldnt you ask your doctor this? i mean we may know a lot about SM but most ppl here, unless they have someone close to them who has cancer, and your specific kind of cancer at that, or theyre a health professional, arent going to know what is and what is safe for someone with cervical cancer.

that said, there are a couple nurses on here i think, maybe they can help you.

i'm sorry to hear you have cervical cancer..am i correct to assume that stage 1 is in the beginning and is treatable?

I am a nurse... there are several of us here. I would never give this kind of medical advice online. Maybe someone else will.

You need to discuss this with your doctor. Believe me, you will not be telling him anything new. He's heard it all before.

The very best of luck to you.

Sorry to hear you have health problems, though it is good you have found out sooner rather than later. If you do not feel comfortable talking to your own doctor about this because of fear of judgement etc., I would suggest trying a lesbian health service or sex worker support organisation in your area. Both these type centres are usually more open and aware and can steer you in the direction of who to speak to on a professional basis for advice as to what is safe right now and what you may need to expect or watch for. Good luck, though I get the feeling you have kept a positive attitude which is a big part of the healing process.
