Mech pilot (Closed for The_Weeping_Angel )

Jon sighed and toweled off..... Jon hopes she will really think about what he said, to look at how she felt about what she was doing, maybe then she will not need the bitch mode with Jon.... Jon shrugs and wraps the towel around his hips so he can go to his room... Jon plans to look at the maps to get as close of a view of the area around the clearing for two hunting spots...

Walking out of her room wearing a duty uniform Laurel went to the mech bay where she went over it again, for any last minute faults.

Jon sees two game trails and makes a note of them.. They look promising for the second day out to hunt.... Jon looks at the area, it is close enough they can get to each other but far enough where if one shoots that should not effect the other one.... Jon scans the area to see if there is any dangers that can be spotted by air.... Thick woods should hinder any large formation, no places of military value, just gotta be mindful of the animal predators, but that is apart of hunting...

Walking out of her room wearing a duty uniform Laurel went to the mech bay where she went over it again, for any last minute faults.

The second time she smacked her knuckles on the frame and ripped skin free she threw a wrench across the bay.

Jon slipped a pair of shorts on, and rushed out into the bay.... He rushed to her and the mech. Jon asks is everything ok?

Concern in his eyes...

“I’m fine, just grab the wrench.” Laurel replied pointing in the general direction of where it had gone flying.

Jon walks over to get the wrench and brings it back to Laurel. Jon says with a silly smile "You know, if wrenches was made to fly, they would have wings on them. Maybe with racing strips and flames, as you know the two things makes a object go faster....."

“If I wanted your witty repartee I’d kick you in the balls..” Laurel snapped. “Just bring me the wrench and leave me be.”

Jon hands the wrench to her and asks "So did you want to go on that hunting trip today, or should we wait a few more days?"

“Doesn’t matter,” Laurel said sitting on her heals as she watched him. She obviously wanted to be alone and in her head for a while. And him standing there babbling away wasn’t doing anything for her mood.

Jumping to her feet she handed him the wrench back as she walked out of the bay and started running.

Jon shouts out "We go tonight!" as she starts to run away...

Jon goes into his room to start to pack his bag, 3 under shirts, 2 shorts, 3 pairs of socks, 1 spare field uniform, then loads up the rest of the bag with food and 1 pack water purification tablets for 14 gallons of water.

Jon then goes to medical to request a field pouch for first aide. to attach it to the side of his pack... Then to get some extra loaded clips for there riffles with there pouches...... Then back to his room to finish packing the bag about half a hour later... Ready to head out when she is..

Walking back into the bay an hour later Laurel stripped in her room before talking a shower and washing all her clothes.

Afterwards she packed all the gear that she needed and stowed it on the mech.

Jon holds his heavy pack with all the extra gear added to the clip points.... Jon asks "Do you want to double check we got everything, or do you want to go now?"

“We’re good,” Laurel said looking down at him. “If you didn’t pack in the last few days we don’t need it.”

Jon gets up and puts his pack in the peck and shoulder service bay. Jon asks "Want me to store your bag down there with mine? You are welcome to slip into the cockpit with me, once we get outside the base I would even let you control the mech."

“I’ll be fine, I’m going to walk behind the mech, I need the time.” She said slinging her rifle into place. Not that she doubted she'd need it with the noise the damned machine was going to make.

Jon nods and powers up the mech... After a few minutes the temps look good, Jon calls out "Ok here we go... Next stop the camp about 6 miles from here."

Jon hits the remote to open the hanger doors and he start the trip there keeping a slow walk so she can keep up. Jon could have the mech run but that would leave her behind as the mech would move like 30 miles a hour cross country...

Grabbing a headset off the work bench Laurel followed him out, tapping the door controls as she left the bay.

She needed time to come to grips with her betrayal. Yeah, she’d buried him, but that didn’t mean she didn’t still love him. And sucking another man’s cock and swallowing his cum made her, forced her to, realize she’d never see him again.

It takes about 3-4 hours for them to walk where Laurel could keep up on a comfortable walk... They do get there mid day, as the come into the clearing next to the river. Jon stops the mech just inside the clearing by the tree line...

Jon start the slow shut down list that takes about 5 minutes... Leaving the APU to run the cooling system to cool the fluids... In this time Jon can leave the cockpit...

Walking around the clearing a couple times Laurel finally headed for the river, watching it’s speed and gauging the chance of catching anything worth eating from it.

Fair to moderate in her opinion, not that she was much of a fisher.

Jon turns the mech APU off powering the mech fully down.. Jon then get out of the cock pit and grabs the bags.. On step on each shoulder as he climbs down the mech side...

Jon says "OK we will need to get some wood for a fire, and get the tents set up...What would you like to do?"

“I’ll find wood,” She told him as she headed for the treeline. Vanishing amongst the trees with barely a whisper and nary a branch out of place or a twig snapped.

Jon taken the packs to the center of the clearing... He undid the bed rolls so the thin camping pad, and sleeping bag rolled out at the same time side by side... Then he got the two half's of the pop tent and stretched them out... Staked the base and ran the pole up the center of the opening and down the joining sides of the half's /|\ is what the tent looks like.... Jon then puts a tarp over them for a bit more protection should it rain.....

They will be sleeping about a foot apart from each-other...

Dropping her third load of twigs and logs on the ground she pulled dry moss and leaves from her shirt an started building a fire after digging a firepit in the ground. The wouldn’t need it tonight, but if they caught anything it would be better to have it ready than not.
