No, I'd agree he's never said anything nice about you; I was referring to Laurel's having taken down a thread many of us were being particularly nasty to each other in, and the fact that the personal attacks have been pretty calm for a while because of that.

And, given that this is a fiction site inhabited by professional and amateur liars, I feel we can always extend a little indulgence to each other if and when necessary...

Well, I guess the era of the be-nice-to-each-other AH is over. It was fun while it lasted, but there's still something to be said for some sass play.

My awful vision abruptly improved after I stopped taking an effective over the counter cough syrup. The prescribed meds I take create a chronic cough the syrup stops. There are other side effects. For the moment I see much better.

As my main vet says: 'Every body is different. Just because a certain med has been shown to work for 99 out of 100 people is no guarantee that it will work for you.' Unfortunately, the only way you usually find out, is by trying it.

When you cant see, you cant see. And when your MD says she has no idea whats going on, yuh gotta punt. I stopped the cough syrup and my sight got much better in a day. Plus my experience is useful to others. And if it annoys PILOT, that's a bonus.

FWIW Cough syrups are mostly sucrose and glucose, that is sugar and corn syrup. Liquid candy. Too much sugar affects vision. I looked for a non sugar OTC cough syrup and found none.
