Yes it does sound like “bitching” but I think she’s more than justified. I’ve attempted the “chat friend” arrangement a few times. I’ve usually given reasonable information about myself, my social life, my job in general, and interests. Then the guy writes back and says, “ok let’s chat”….. and I’m thinking BUT I JUST DID and you send me a 3 word response with ZERO about yourself???? WTF eh?

Angela has it about right in my opinion, but I would add that reading a profile is a smart move before making contact.
Having a profile to check before replying also saves wasting time.
