I’ve been talking about how IR is bunk and it’s just people having sex.

My experience of being with someone older is pretty much the same. Less cultural points of reference, different priorities in life (then it was never a romantic relationship, just FWB), but - if everyone is in good health - just people being nice to each other in the best way we have to do that.

My bf is older, but by just eight years. Above, I meant larger gaps than that.

I’d always been interested - in a hypothetical manner - in being with an older woman. But that will be now relegated to the fantasy column, along with FFFs.

I've been with people older than me and there really was nothing special about it, except they were probably more spry on average than some of the people around my own age. The only time I heard "my knees are starting hurt," was by my exgirlfriend who's three years younger than me, lol. And an ex who's five years younger needed a breather after their first orgasm.

Nothing to do with age, but that just gave me a chuckle thinking of a "missing" but quite likely very funny plot bunny in The Big Bang Theory where Leonard could be shown in bed and without his glasses grasping to find his breather next to a heaving-chest Penny. Doubtless that Chuck Lorre wanted or even wrote such a scene, but CBS' censors went apoplectic.
