Both are very good.

Masterbation is a way to get a release.

From the male perspective, intercourse is the best, but I would also say it is different and not a reason to preclude masturbation release. The feelings are different. With intercourse (which I only have with my wife), there is a connection and a sharing. Thoughts are less focussed on my own feelings because an awareness of what is happening with her is required. Solo sex allows a complete focus on one's own pleasure, which can be lonely but can also allow for a different kind of intensity. Thoughts can be on fantasies that one will never live out.
This is kind of wandering all over the place.
Anyway, intercourse is better.

It is very difficult to grade them. An orgasm through masturbation has it's own merits, and has much to ber said for it since I am in complete control. An orgasm with a partner can be very satisfying knowing I have shared the ultimate with someone else.
