I took a massage course many years ago. Baby oil and similar products are petroleum based, which tends to dry the skin. Try vegetable oils.

Use what many professionaks use: Jojoba oil. Available from Massage Warehouse online. Its not oily or greasy. Excellent glide on skin and best of all safe. Dont use baby oil or petroleom based products as theleave residues and can dehydrate some skin types.
