Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Thailand, South Korea, have all combated the virus successfully. There is not a single East Asian country in the top 20 for Covid 19 infections

In all the countries mentioned above, people wear masks as a matter of ordinary courtesy if they have any sort of sniffle. They are sufficiently adult to place their responsibilities ahead of their rights. Yet there are clowns here spouting pseudo scientific drivel who think they can tell these successful nations what to do.

Masks work.

Where did I mention households ? Fuck, I or my wife DO NOT wear masks at home. That indeed would be dumb. My references were to strangers ( incidental or friends) meeting anywhere. Even when your teenage " vector" comes home from a club I would not make him wear a mask at home. I would prohibit him to go there in the first place and/ or take the risk that he infects me. So stop misquoting me

Prohibiting a teen to do something is tantamount to a dare,
and they tend to take dares which is why this mask issue
is a bunch of fucking nonsense.

Way to miss my point. You have a 3o% chance of getting it from a spouse which is you, breathing in their shed viruses in close proximity for hours at a time.

You have a ridiculously slim chance of getting it from a couple of stray viruses shed by incidental, brief contact with an asymptomatic stranger who, by definition, has a viral load so low, his body can't detect it to mount a response to let him know he is "sick."

No one talks about asymptomatic or even pre-symptomatic influenza "carriers" because they are poor vectors.

It is being spread household to household. If you get it it will be from your wife's, cousin's friend's spouse who is an "essential" worker, or someone in your circle that is having an affair with a guy who works with a girl, whose husband got it from their cousin.

Next time you're out in about an dealing with a central workers say at the grocery store ask them how many of their employees have gotten sick. They have the same level of exposure you do times however many hours their shift is. None of them were wearing masks in the early days because Foucci correctly told us the actual science which is they don't protect you especially from incidental contact.

The only reason that max are being pushed is there a nice reminder for everyone to stay scared and scared people stay home. Staying home is the only thing that matters and all it does is slow it down it doesn't stop the spread
