Marvel vs. DC: War of the Worlds (IC)

Parnell nodded, taking the offered hand. "War Machine. We'll leave it at that. Also, you might want to put on some kind of disguise. Most people aren't used to seeing gold skin, and there are a lot of people who might attack you. This country seems to have a problem with paranoia." He let the hand go, then flew off, planning on doing a scan of the city from thirty thousand feet.

"Betsy?" Rogue peeked out from one of the shops, a confused look on her face as she looked for the other Xmen... Arms full of bags and boxes, she stepped out onto the sidewalk, frowning as she dropped them. "Aw, hell, gal, I ain't carryin' all this stuff. Where'd ya take off tah?" She rolled her eyes, puffing the stray hair from her face. "One store ahead, mah ass... Ya left me here, din't ya?!"
That's when she noticed the mess on the streets. Jumping into the air, she pushed the sleeves of her coat up, her frown growing. "Awww, that's jus' gon' piss me off more, ya go an' get into a brawl without me, Betsy..."

Captain Atom.

"Look who's talking" Captain Atom looked back at War Machine now thouroughly confused. The point of flying about was finding someone who would talk. Now he had names and no clue who to use them with. this was like some bad episode of outer Limits, where no matter what he did, he couldn't seem to get it right, and the more he learned the more confused he got.

Rioght about now he was simply hoping that War Machine would turn around and open fire. It wouldn't do anything, But Nathaniel jsut felt it would make his life simpler.

"Well ok lets look for an air force base. Pose as a Civvie and try to find out what their ID loks like. who knows maybe they're the same here. It's a long shot but it might work. Course maybe War machine was right. Probably should land and De-Power. I can always suit up again if the need arises.

Captain Atom sunk down an alley and Let his normal clothes come back. Now he had on Military Dress, and Carried his hat under his arm. He scanned his ID hoping it looked official. He'd ask for information to Francis Gabrieski. Or Hancock field, Somewhere there must be a military placement. Not like he was just going to find and shack up with someone here.

Psylocke n' Ivy

Having been running at full speed, Betsy hadn't felt nor heard the sound of a train barreling down the street behind them. In fact, there was nothing. Stopping in their tracks, Betsy frown then noted Rogue flying close by. Waving her arms she singled herself out. "Rogue! Down here."

Ivy stood by hand on her hips as if nothing had occured. This was all quite strange. Who were these people? And where had her beloved Gotham city go? She remained silent for now, in hopes of acquiring the information she sought.

Captain Atom. (Now in Nathaniel versions.)

Nathaniel walked out into the street, and got about two feet.

How had he not seen this from the air. Taxis were strewn left and right, Massive pile-ups and giant Footprints in embedded in the earth. Actually it didn't look all too bad. And there were no other flying people, [Maybe this is what war machine was here for.] Mind you if this is supposed to be gotham I wonder where the people who swing on ropes are. Batman does that, only makes sense that there would be someone who does that here. He started to ask if eveyone was alright when a flyin person appeared. In leather. It moved far too quickly for him to really follow But he was pretty sure he saw long hair and a leather jacket.

"Rocker Superboy?" Captain Atom made sure the people near him were fine Most seemed to be ok, other than shock and he continued on his way. His efforts hampered by the need to make sure that people were un-injured and that Cabs were not in the way.

Magneto

The mutant known as Magneto sat solemnly on a large throne that sat in the middle of an impressive hall. Since declaring himself President of Genosha, he'd constructed this new presidential palace and the resulting building was every bit as impressive as one would assume the master of magnetism to construct for himself. He sat deep in thought, his icy blue eyes burning a hole into the handcuffed man who was standing before him.

"This is most unacceptable" the short, bald sweaty man choked out "I am an official representative of the United Nations....."

The man droned on for a few more minutes about his credentials. Magnus barely heard a word he said. One of his advisors had suggested that allowing the United Nations to set up an oberservers post on Genosha would win him some much needed points with the international community. Having Magneto ruling over an island of mutants made the humans nervous, he'd said and that an excellent way to defuse tensions would be to allow the United Nations in. Against his better judgement, Magnus had agreed.

"And I have yet to be charged with any sort of crime" the man continued "I demand to be released"

As the man made his "demand" Magnus broke from his thoughts and addressed the man.

"Mr. Stanton, when I deigned to allow you and your organization onto my Island it was under the pretenses that it was temporary and would last only as long as it took for you to evacuate the remaining humans from Genosha." Magneto said, his voice cold and calm.

"Yes but..." The man was in the middle of responding when he was cut off

"That was 6 months ago. In that time, only 2,000 of the nation's Humans have been removed and I'm told evacuations have since halted. I am unwilling to wait any longer"

"The logistics of the task are forcing us to....Mmmmffff" The man was again cut off, this time from a thin strip of metal flying across the room and clamping shut over his mouth.

"As I said, I am unwilling to wait any longer. I have a message for you to give back to your superiors" Magnus said as he began to shift the magnetic field around the man's hands. The man's eyes grew wide with terror and a pained scream was muffled as the metal of the handcuffs began digging into his wrists.

"You may have mistaken me for a patient man, Mr. Stanton. One who is willing to allow you and your kind to linger in my domain."

The metal of the handcuffs began digging and scraping into Stanton's wrist bones, long since haven sliced through the flesh. The UN delegate was now writhing around the ground, tears pouring from his eyes.

"That is a mistake. I have no patience for cockroaches to infest my paradise. And since you were so ineffective at convincing the humans to leave, you will instead be an example of what will happen to those who overstay their welcome." Magnus' voice never altered in pitch or temperment, not even after the click of the handcuffs meeting or the dull thud of Mr. Stanton's severed hands hitting the ground. Magnus waved to one of his attendants to clean up the mess. From the corner of the room, the same advisor who'd argued for the UN presence on Genosha approached the throne.

"Milord, I hope that the humans disrespect does not reflect poorly on...." Magneto raised an eyebrow to him before breaking into a thin smile.

"No, Rex. Just consider this a furthering of your education on the nature of humanity." Magneto said as he picked up his helmet from a nearby stand, delicate placing it over his head. "I have given an inch to the humans and they attempted to take a mile."

"Yes sir. Shall I ready a communique for the United Nations expressing our displeasure?" Rex nodded, a look of relief washing over his face.

"No need, Rex" Magneto said as he walked towards the palace's exit "I'll let them know of my displeasure in person"

Juggernaut.

(OOC: Kinda hoping that ANYONE will come stop me.)

Cain looked walking nomrally. Or as normal as he could down the streets of gotham City. slums and trash. The air seemed clear but what you looked at was a haze. Everywhee he turned there was another crime another slum another dead end alley. Were he not the Juggernaut he may actually have been a little scared. As it was this place didn't look half bad. Big streets. Not a lot of traffic. It almost seemed like it was quiet. Except for the occasional sounds of the night.

Cain kept walking looking for anything open. The Ruby of Cyttorak made it so he didn't need to eat drink or even breathe. But damn it that didn't mean he didn't want a cheeseburger now and then. "Goddamnit people. Where the fuck do I have to go to get a fucking burger around here." People scattered. Cain just kept walking stomping now leaving treads along the street. His Inability to find even a Mc Donalds had made him angry. And now someone was going to lose teeth over it.

Star City. A large, sprawling metropolitian area that is not as big as Metropolis yet large than centeral city.Star City is no longer the shining star it was named after, being over run with more crime than even Gotham city,a place that is filled with depression and more and more gangs roaming the street. It was once a place of commerce and business, that buisness lead by Queen Industries, but now there is nothing accept the crooked Everlast corperation that cares about nothing but exploiting the people.Sirens are running all day and night and the police are quickly being overrun, unable to stand against the tide of darkness slowly consuming the city.It was as if the city had a viel of darkness covering it,keeping it forever in darkness. There was one becon of light though, that was Star City's protector: Green Arrow.

Steping down the long stair into the subterrian basement,Oliver Queen moved with realitive ease as he slipped through the darkness. He knew the way like the back of his hand and sure enough he was able to find the lightswitch that illuminated his "Headquarters". It was in the basement of his luxurious mansion on the outskirts of Star City,it was Oliver's sanctuary,a place for him to escape the troubles of everyday life and to hone his skills,to mentally and physically prepare him for his night job: the bow wielding vigilante known as Green Arrow. The entire complex was filled with equipment of all sorts: His own personal gym, complete with weights, tread mills, gymnastic bars and all sorts of things a billionaire could by. Lining the north wall were bows of all types: Longbows,Compound bows,Recurve bows and quivers full of arrows. Running along the other wall were targets of all shapes and sizes: Bullseye target,Human targets,Animal targets. It was like an archers dream.

Oliver walked towards far wall and pulled out a simple longbow, finely crafted from the finest oak in all of America. With a leather grip at the center of it,the bow was unstrung and just wanting on the wall for him.Oliver pulled his stringing out of the case that held them, different weights for the different archers who might come to his house and use his bows.He pulled out the thickest bow string in the case, the 115 pound pull and quickly strung the bow with one swift movement, doing it almost automaticaly, upon instinct for this was not the first bow he had ever strung.Grabbing a quiver of regular yet painted green arrows from off the wall,he moved over to the furtherest line from the targets and slung the quiver over his shoulder.Drawing three arrows from the quiver,Oliver notched them with a graceful movement and held the bow up horizontially and pulled back all three arrows, holding them in between his fingers and closed his eyes.

Taking a deep breath and exhaling it,Oliver released the arrows.Flying through the air with amazing speed the arrows branched off and each one of the arrows struck home in its human looking target, each one landing in the center area of the chest.Three arrows, three different targets each with an arrow right in the target area.Opening his eyes,Oliver took and deep breath took a stance, holding the bow vertically and centering his focus on one of the targets: the middle one.Oliver took and deep breath and then inhaled like any trained archer.Suddenly with one swift movement,Oliver was flinging arrows down the range. One after another with only a second or two between each other,Oliver fell quickly into a grove, working like a machine, before he could blink Oliver found himself reaching for arrows that were no longer in his quiver.Taking a deep breath,Oliver smiled at the cluster of 30 to 40 arrows resting neatly all inside the target area.Putting the bow at an "at ease" position,Oliver walked the length of the range to inspect his work.

When he reached the target,he noticed that each arrow was right where he had set it but one.One was a centimeter off and was not in the target area, right on the line.Oliver sighed,he never missed and when he did that ment something was bothering him. That was why he was in the basement anyways,Shooting always calmed him but something was really messing with his emotions and he knew what it was.It was beautiful little bird. Not a dove, not falcon but a more famous bird: A black canary. No this not the little black bird that chirps and roams freely around the world. No this was no bird, this was a creature of such beauty that couldn't even be explained by any word in the dictionary. This bird had blond hair, lucious curves and a firey attitude that Oliver so admired. It had been at least two weeks since he had heard from Dinah Lance, the woman he loved, the woman he planned to marry(though he would never admit it).It was tearing at his heart though she had every right to be angry with him.He had been unfaithful to her and now he was paying the price.

Oliver quickly put his emotions aside and crawled back inside himself,it was about time for patrol and he had to get sharp.Smoothly unbuttoning his shirt,Oliver slipped out of his shirt and revealed his extremely muscular chest and his rock hard abs as well as is thick muscular arms.Reaching over into his wardrobe,he pulled out his light green and dark green sleeveless shirt and his dark green vest, with an open middle section held closed by strings.Pulling up his arms length glove over is right hand and pulling on his dark green glove on his left hand and strapping the leather bands around his thick arm,he quickly slipped out of his comfortable and expensive pants.Pulling on his light green tights,he slipped his dark green belt around his waist to hold his pants in place, completely with his golden G belt buckle.Pulling up his knee length dark green leather boots on each foot and setting his thin eye mask onto place his look was almost complete.Picking up his robin hood style hat -sqaure in the back and comming to a point at the front, adorned with a yellow feather- he set it sqaurely on his head and now he was finally the costumed vigilante the criminals in Star City feared: Green Arrow.

Green Arrow had been on patrol for at least half and hour and not encountered in sort of criminal activites. He had heard no crys for help and had seen nothing out of place, which was odd in Star City: he should have been at least four fights by this time.Springing gracefully off the ledge of one building to the roof of the next,Green Arrow stood in wonder at why there was no crime. He would never have complained about a decline in crime but tonight he was plagued by guilt over Dinah and he needed something to take his mind off his immense amount of guilt he felt about it.

Stepping to the ledge of another building and planning to move onto the next,Oliver heard a gun shot screech off in the distance.Sharply looking in the direction of the gun shot,Oliver quickly pulled his grappling hook arrow from the quiver on his back and notched the arrow with one graceful movement.Holding the bow at an upwards angle,Green Arrow pulled the string back with the arrow and shot it off.The arrow spun in the air as it sailed off to its target: the building across the street.Making a loud clunk as it hooked onto the ledge across the street,Oliver had already begun tying it in place on the other side.Holding his bow horizontally,Oliver took a couple steps back away from the ledge.Running towards the rope,he put the bow over his head and began to descend down the rope at amazing speed, sliding on the rope overhead the busy street below him.Planting his feet firmly out in front of himself,he landed squarely and immediately ran off to the edge of the building.Springing from the building he landed on to the next one he was rushing off in the direction of the shot when he heard a second one,the flash of light guiding him to the ledge.

Peeking over the ledge,Oliver was shocked at the sight.Laying dead on the dirt alley were two kids,no older than thirteen. They were wearing expensive "popular" clothes and it was obvious that they had rich parents.Looking at the monsters who would kill these kids,Oliver noticed four gang bangers, dressed in the red and blue of their gang and two detectives.Oliver had always suspected that they were dirty and now this confirmed it as one of the detectives was still holding the smoking gun.Rage burned through Oliver's veins.Taking up his bow,an arrow was out in half a second.Springing from the ledge,Oliver gracefuly began a flip, opening mid flip and aiming his bow down.Firing his arrow stright through the hand of the detective, his gun when off as it hit the ground.Quickly throwing his feet foreward,Green Arrow landed on both feet perfectly."What the fuck" the leader of the gang bangers said as suddenly everyone was reaching for their fire arms,to bad they were not fast enough.

Green Arrow smoothly drew and released arrows with amazing speed that the gang bangers didn't even have times to react. One arrow peirced the leader in the shoulder, the force of blow sending the arrow completely through him and bearing him to the ground. The next had gone completely through the second detectives hand as he reached for the Glock at his side.Springing foreward,Oliver was one the dirty detective in a second, his swift round house kick to the stomuch sent him stright into the brick alley wall. The man crumpled down in pain, holding his peirced hand.Drawing a hand gun,one of the other gang bangers leveled the weapon at Oliver but Green arrow was so much faster,an arrow already released and another notched before the man could pull the trigger. The arrow slipped perfectly into the barrel of the man's gun, causing it to discharge and explode in his hand.Releasing his next arrow,Oliver sent one right through the shoulder of the first gang banger and into the next one, catching him in the right bicep and peircing between his ribs:the broad heads sharp tip peircing his lung, causing it collapse.

The leader of the gang bangers,a strong looking latino man was already trying to crawl his way out of the dark black ally with his one good arm,the other completely useless, the painted green arrow completely cutting the nerves to his arm,the pain in his chest was unbearable but he had to make it to the next block so he could for Ox.Oliver looked around and made sure these men were down for the count, quickly eyeing over each of them. The men were injured but were no were close to dead.Hopping over one of the toppled gangsters,Green Arrow moved to the end of the alley and stomped right on the back on the crawling man, causing the arrow sticking out his chest to shoot back rapidly, the aluminium of the arrow shaft causing excurtiating pain in the man.Screaming like a girl, his scream could be heard by everyone in at least a mild radius, including the man he was trying to summon: OX.

Green Arrow bent down to whisper in the leaders ear "Does that hurt? I bet it hurt as much as those two kids you killed? why on earth would you kill two kids you scum bag!" Oliver said as he grabbed the back of the man's head and slammed his face against the ground.Oliver Queen was a man who stood out against the use of excessive force and against authority yet tonight, the rage and the hurt of losing Dinah all seemed to well up inside of him and cause him to take out his frustration on his poor sap.Taking a deep breath as the man collapsed from pain beneath him,Oliver tried to calm himself. He let the pain and the rage slowly filter away and allowed himself to see clearly for a second: To bad he didn't have longer.

A massive fist slammed across his face out of no where,so fast that Oliver hadn't had time to roll it,so it took it full on in the face.Flying backwards and on to his ass,his opponent was suddenly upon him.The man was at least 7 feet tall and looked like he was made of muscle. At first Oliver felt inadequate compared to this behemoth but suddenly he was ready for a battle. To bad he had hesitated and already a massive first was comming for his face.Oliver held up his bow hoping the wood would stop the punch but the massive fist just broke through it like it was nothing and clobbered right into his face.Oliver quickly kicked up and hit the man in the balls, yeah it was cheap but Oliver needed a second to recover.Bringing his feet up to his chest,he aimed his feet and quickly kicked them out, hitting the man sqaure in the chest. The man bearly budged but it gave Oliver enough time to quickly kick himself up to his feet.Taking a quick step back,Oliver quickly realized he had no weapon.Reaching back Oliver felt he at least had a couple arrows left.Taking a hold of two of him,Oliver held them by the feathering and quickly to a stance as his behemoth of an opponent readied himself.

Charging foreward,OX extended him arms out to try and grapple Oliver but he was far quicker than the man.Bending low under the arms,Oliver jammed the arrows into the man's feet. They wouldn't finish him but they definantly through him off balance. As they say "The bigger they are,the harder they fall" as suddenly the mountian of muscle fell face first on the dark alley.Oliver was on his feet in a second.Scooping up the string and remenants of his bow,he held the bow string out tight and looped it around the fallen man's neck a couple of times. The average hunter pulls fifty pounds on his bow.The Macho Hunter pulls 80 for his friends.Oliver Queen pulls 115 pounds every time. This time he pulled harder as he used his bow as a garrote.Holding it only for a second,Green Arrow was no killer but had to subdue his opponent. He felt his opponent go limp underneath him(oliver jumped on his back to choke him) as he went unconcious.Blood dripping from his mouth and nose and a massive welt from where he was hit forming,Green Arrow left the remains of his busted bow their and quickly fled the scene, dissappearing into the night.

His mansion was ten miles from his fight. He was worn out,his muscles ached as blood dripped from his nose and onto the ground behind him.He made his way home quickly.Opening the door quickly,so no one spotted Green Arrow going into the house of Oliver Queen,he closed the door behind him and staggered over to the couch.Taking a deep breath,he laid back and felt the blood running down his face.Usually Dinah would be here to take care of him but now he was all alone in his empty house, surronded by darkness. He wished Dinah was here to lighten up the place and he wished he could feel her strong and passionate embrace one last time but for now,he was alone....

"Getting sloppy old man."

A light off beside the couch flickered on, the expensive tiffany lamp casting a rainbow of stained glass shadows over the expensive Persian rug he was dripping blood onto. There she was, in all her ebon suited glory, bleach blond locks pouring over her shoulder in radiant waves of gold. She was an exquisite study in strength and softness, muscle and lushness all at once. Dinah's eyes roved over him with a slow look of undisguised annoyance.

"The Arrow I knew never got sloppy like this. Or maybe he just had the right person watching his back."

One high heeled boot rested flatly to the wall, the other solidly braced on the floor, each with those lithe muscular legs clad in fishnet. She wasn't remarkably tall, but every inch of her was sculpted like some sort of dream, Dinah Lance was one hell of a woman. The lush curve of her hip and pert backside rested on the wall, bracing her back so she could lean forward enough to fix him with a disapproving look. The bleeding, the beating...none of it was classic Ollie, least not as she recalled him.

Arms folded over that ample bust, rising and falling with the deep inhales of her breaths, she was holding something back. Ollie knew her body language as well as he knew his own, hell possibly better even. Of all the partners, and indeed lovers she'd ever had no one knew her like Queen did. At times it had been frightening how he seemed to read her mind in battle and in bed. Now he would know full well she was biting her tongue, and the mock anger that rested across the thinly drawn lips was but a facade covering her worry and concern.

A push from the wall had her in motion, closing the distance between them so she could gingerly tip his chin up and get a good look at the damage. Aside from the shock on his face he'd live. Her thumb swept over his cheek in a soft caress before she turned away.

"First aid kit still in the bathroom?"

She assumed it was and walked off to fetch it before he could answer, she was gone only moments, returning with ice, the kit, a couple of tumblers and a bottle. Some of the ice went over his wound, the rest was split between the tumblers, generous amount of scotch poured over it and one glass handed to him.

"Off with the shirt, let's see the damage."

She knew what was coming, a typical Ollie line about her wanting to get him out of his clothes, well let him have it. The humor and flirtations were Ollie's way of dealing with things and if it made it easier for him, so be it. She helped him out of the green tunic, hands sliding gently over the blossoming bruises with a scowl. He was hurt, not life threateningly, but enough to make her wince for him. She hated seeing him in pain at all no matter what had happened between them she would always be in love with him, for better or worse. Part of that emotional bond was this.

"Caught the news, you made it to Gotham by the way. I knew when I heard something was wrong. You're being vicious Ollie, and reckless. Keep this up and you're going to get yourself killed."

For once those blue gray eyes raised to his, so easy to sink into those deep forest greens and loose herself. She couldn't let that happen, had to remember why she was here. Dinah pulled herself back to the present and began dressing his injuries. Dainty dabs of gauze to the welling cut on his lip, antiseptic for his other scrapes and lacerations. He'd taken a beating, but if she knew her Arrow the others guys were a lot worse off.

(Tag Ollie)

Oliver was about to fall into a deep and troubled sleep that would full of only joy.He dreamed of Dinah and himself fighting crime up and Seattle, fighting crime togather just anywhere. Then he would dream of the time in the kitchen and the other times where they would be togather, the fire amongst them, the passion was so hot that it would almost burn him.She was his pretty bird and he her robin hood and he would chase he across the world. There was no challenge he would not attempt,no villian he wouldn't fight and no matter of money he would spend for just a second of time with her.She was the one good thing in his life, she made him forgot all the guilt he felt over all the wrong things he had ever done, she made him feel alive like no other person could ever could.Love he had for her was endless, though he never really showed it,he never could because he felt it would make him look weak and when your trying to keep a powerful and sexy woman like Dinah with you,you can't look weak.

He was about to dose off when suddenly a mix of rainbow light suddenly illuminated a portion of the room.Squinting his emerald green eyes as the light came on,Oliver couldn't even begin to guess who would be in his house this late. His heart begin to beat faster as he worried mybe one of his past enemies like Merlyn the dark archer or Constaintine Drakon had found him.Oliver attempted to move his body but even he had his limits and the beating he had received from Ox was a lot worse than he cared to admit.Shifting his head back he caught a full glance of who it was.He knew it was a woman,so at first he thought he was really asleep and the angelic vocie of Dinah broke the silence in the room.

Oliver bearly even listened to the words as the very epitome of beauty stepped from the shadows and out into the light where he could bearly see her.His eyes instantly adjusted and any sort of grogginess or weakness he felt instantly felt distance as suddenly he was in the presence of his love.Dinah had that effect on a man, could make him feel more than he really was and make him feel stronger than at least ten men and give him the ability to fight against manner of enemy.Oliver quietly replied to her in his joking manner, hiding his pain or even his suprise she was here "Green Arrow is never sloppy,I ment to come back looking like this,it makes me feel like a human,That way I don't get cocky like Superman."

Grinning,Oliver looked over at Dinah and instantly his blood was on fire. She was wearing her tight fitting black leather costume that displayed her perfectly shaped bodyHer beautiful and round breasts, all of her womanly curves and her toned and inshape body. She wore her alluring, golden blond hair out so it swayed perfectly with each and every one of her smooth and seductive moves as she approuched him.He noticed her slender and strong legs, covered in her trademark fish nets and the leather boots she always wears, nicely polished to complete her image.Oliver's heart was beating as fast and as loud as tribal drum though he looked calm and collected on the outside. Her exquiste face was twisted with dissapointment though he could see in her enchanting blue eyes the worry she felt over him and he knew she was only taking an angered approuch to hide the concern she felt for him.Oliver felt better just knowing that she at least cared about him enough to worry for him, though she had no right to worry.

He didn't resist her as he tipped his chin up and ran one of strong but fair skinned fingers over his bruised check. He felt no pain but only the warm gentle touch of her fingers and he couldn't deny the joy he felt, though he didn't show it.She was off and into the bathroom before he could even respond and try to respond, she knew his house well, mybe even better than he did and he never really considered it his house,he felt it was more like their house, though he would never admit it to her, because Oliver Queen was no love stricken fool: it would be bad for his image and showed a weakness he would never care to show he had.

"Off with the shirt, let's see the damage."

"First scotch and now you want my shirt off.It sounds to me like you want to get me drunk and naked" Oliver said as he quickly tossed back the scotch, feeling the beverage burn down his throat and into his system, though he burn of the alcohol was no where as hot as the heat Oliver felt in his veins and in his heart just being back new Dinah. He only grinned at her as he pulled his tunic off from his upper body revealing his muscular upper body.He tried to hold back the wince as she ran his gentle and warm fingers over the bruises he had received during his last escapade. He tried to act tough and be the witty Oliver Queen he always is around Dinah.

His forest green eyes caught her deep azure blue eyes and for the second that they were locked,Oliver Queen was lost inside them, thinking about the better days, the days when he could look inside those beautiful blue eyes every night and every day.He was so lost in thought that he almost completely forgot to reply to what she said to him.He had caught the news in Gotham? so he had been a little bit more agressive lately and had gone after some bigger criminals and been reckless but he felt like he had a good reason, not one he would ever be able to explain though.

"I made the news in Gotham? I bet that made old bats made that I am a star not only in my city but now I am a star in his too.Speaking of bats, how is that tight ass" Oliver said jokingly, trying to start some sort of converstation, avoiding and running away from the real question: Why was she here? Just like Oliver Queen,to avoid the hard questions and try and run away from what was really going on.

As she dressed his wounds and put antiseptic on his wounds,he acted a little bit more hurt than he really was "Ouch, that stung worse than comming back from the dead!" Oliver kept up his jokes, trying to act though and witty, trying to still dodge the question as to why Dinah Lance was in his house and being friendly to him after he had cheated on her with another woman.

TheScarletBlade said:

Just like Oliver Queen,to avoid the hard questions and try and run away from what was really going on.

There was the Ollie she knew so well, the lecherous flirt with a gift for witty banter. She'd known his mention on the Gotham nightly news would amuse him to no end, she had been right. His lips curled into a smile, just that roguish hint curling at the corners of his mouth. The sort of expressions he used to silence with a kiss back when...well back when things were different. Soft careful movements cleaned and dressed his wounds, she stayed quiet a while and let him go on while she worked on him, knowing what to expect and not being disappointed. That was part of the trouble, part of what had gone wrong. Ollie never changed, even when he should. She knew there would always be other women, that was part of who he was. No matter how much he loved her Oliver Queen was simply not a man who would change.

"Yeah, Bats was green in the gills over it. I think he even accused you of stealing one or two of his moves of the broody shadowy variety. A lot of people were concerned with it, so I thought I would come out here and check it out."

Couldn't exactly say she was in the neighborhood and dropped by, but she did have her reasons for stopping by. Loath though Dinah was to give voice to her feelings, talking emotionally to Ollie was never easy and only rarely productive. Fingers closed over his empty glass and refilled it, amber liquid pooling in the clear tumbler to a double shot, ice softly clinking as she handed it back to him. He'd always been fairly anti-drug, and after what they went through with Roy....more precisely what Dinah went through with him. Ollie was to filled with self loathing and guilt to face the fact that his ward and sidekick had turned to drugs a mistake in fathering he would never forgive himself for. After all of that Ollie was left to a few vices, good alcohol, fighting crime and women. The first two Dinah could indulge willingly and they had embraced a life together based on that for years. It was the latter that always seemed to drive them apart. No matter how much she tried to over look it, there would be another instance, the last straw had been bringing the other woman back into their own bed and lying about it.

As he lay back, bare chested and swaggering it was easy for her to see how he drew so many women, how she herself had been drawn to him. He was virile and charming and dashing in all the right ways. Oliver Queen knew exactly how to talk to make you forget you have any reason to be anywhere but with him. How often had she fallen victim to that? More times then she could recall, then again she never really had any complaints. When it came to a friend, lover or date one would be hard pressed to find any better then Ollie, it was only when it came to relationships that he seemed to stumble.

"I never recall having to get you drunk before. Must be slipping."

Banter back to him, keep him talking. Keep things light so that he can't see how terrified you really are. Dinah kept telling herself this was strictly out of concern for him, she was only here because he was a friend and fellow Leaguer and he was being recklessly dangerous. Sure, if she tried hard enough they might both buy that. Key was not looking him in the eyes, ohhh too many hours were spent lost there. Those deep greens peering down at her as her body arched in passion, they way they sparkled when he slide down her body with a wink and devils intent. Those eyes were not only the window to his own soul, but the way he could slip into hers. She was not about to let that happen. Dinah was strong and smart and....God even now he smelled good. He felt good. Her voice cracked in a half whimper and she pulled suddenly away.

"More ice. Gotta keep things cool."

The last was more to herself then him, but it served just as well for her vanishing act into the kitchen. Long striding steps carried her away from him and into the kitchen. Stunning italian marble tiles shone glossy under foot and the terra cotta colors walls blended to the Mediterranean feel of the room. Vibrance, like the man himself Ollie's house was energetic and full of life. It was like walking around in the essence of him, it was almost too much. The bowl was let to clatter into the sink and Dinah slumped forward, her arms folding over the granite counter, her head coming to rest on them. The cool stone of the countertop felt good on her over heated skin. Could she possibly be so affected by him already? She had to pull herself together, neither of them needed this sort of entanglement right now. She leaned forward against the counter and silently prayed for composure, her voice dropping to a whisper as she tried to convince herself that she could do this.

"Just here to check up on him and I'll go. Just need to get through this...."

"Yeah, Bats was green in the gills over it. I think he even accused you of stealing one or two of his moves of the broody shadowy variety. A lot of people were concerned with it, so I thought I would come out here and check it out."

Oliver put on a charming grin and laughed on the inside. He always loved playing with Batman. The two had a troubled history, though they had always been close friends,Batman was so dark and such a uptight jerk.To be quite honest batman was as tight as a dolphins rear and that ment it was water tight.Oliver noted the "green" gills and was reminded of the better times of his life. When Dinah and him fought crime during the early night, ended it with passionate love and slept through the day.He missed the light and joy that she brought to his life and just being in her presence made him wish he had never made that mistake and he had never put something between the two of them.

Being near her also racked his heart with guilt. He was witting an charming on the outside though being near Dinah made him weep on the inside. He missed being close to her,he missed fighting crime with her and he hated spending lonely cold nights without her.He hated himself because he couldn't change his nature,he couldn't promise things would be better though but he was willing to try.He lifted his head and looked over at his desk in the study.Inside his finely polished and exquistely crafted desk on the top dresser was the ring he had for her.He had made the ring from gold he had mined himself from his gold mine in Nevada and the diamond was forged from the diamond arrow he had crafted to save the Justice League when he first joined. He had worked on it himself, forged the band for it and set the diamond in its place. There was an inscription written on the inside of the ring that said "To my endless love,to my pretty bird"

He had attempted to give it to her when he visited Seattle and invited her to Space needle, where he rented the entire resturant for just the two of them.He had cooked his world famous chili and he had planned to give her the ring yet for some reason it didn't feel like the right time and he couldn't muster up the courage to give it to her. Then he ended up in a awkward position with his lawyer and ended up taking her to bed, though it was never his idea, she had come on strong to him and any red blooded man couldn't have said no,though Ollie knew he should have.

Looking up at her,he prepared to crack another joke and to give her a certian charming look "You don't have to worry about me Dinah,I am the man of adamantium unlike that good two shoes the man of steel" Oliver said in his charming, seductive voice and with a certian devilish glint in his emerald green eyes.

Oliver lifted his sore arms and wrapped them slowly around Dinah, feeling the cool leather of her costume and feeling her warm, fair skin under it.Pulling her down close to him,Oliver looked up into her beautiful blue eyes and spoke softly to her "Slipping? Thats what I had in mind" Oliver lifted his head to kiss those perfect pink lips of hers, her smell intoxicating, driving him almost mad.She pulled back though and broke out of his embrace, not really having the strength to hold her in place. She made a weak excuse to need some more ice, though Oliver knew she was just trying to get away from him.He knew she felt just like he did though she didn't want to forgive him for what happened between the two of them.He didn't forgive himself either but scotch and her sweet scent mad Oliver wash away the guilt.

Oliver was quickly on his feet with one swift movement and was walking around the couch and into the kitchen. He saw Dinah setting her head down on the finely crafted marble straight from the marble mines in Vermont.Stepping behind her with one quick motion,Oliver leaned in behind her to whisper softly into her ear "I know you don't forgive me for what I did and I want to tell you that I feel bad about it because your the only one good thing in my life and that I love you. You can leave now if you want, thanks for checking in on me,but I am fine" Oliver said as he bent his head down and placed a passionate and warm kiss right on the base of her neck "My pretty bird" Oliver whispered as he moved back and exited from the kitchen.

Joker

Ooc:I need my Harley Quinn...

Joker waited patiently in line, looking at the different items on the menu. Prices seemed to rise so high, did they not? It was a shame about this day and age, everything which people went through just to get a happy meal.

Happy meal, the Joker began giggling at that, and then he started laughing, before rising to fits of hysteria there between a middle aged man and an old fat woman holding onto her small son.

By the time he reached the front of the line, his laughter had, for the most part, stopped.

"I would like 2 happy meals, and a number 4 with cheese," He said, pointing to the picture of the nice happy family eating such wonderful meals. Were they not happy?

"Aren't you... the Joker?"

"Why, my dear boy," He hopped up on the table, looking down at the man's name tag, "Dennis, your powers of perception astonish me. Yes, I am The Joker. You haven't seen that Batman hanging around here have you?"

Dennis seemed to laugh at this, "No... haven't seen him in here lately. He usually orders the chicken basket."

The Joker laughed at this as well, watching at they prepared his meal.

"This is what I am talking about. Bats can't take a joke. See, you get me Dennis. These people in here get me. Why can't superficial cape wearing men in tights with father complexes get me?"

He grabbed the bag of food, tapping poor old Dennis on the shoulder. Dennis fell at once, shaking and shuttering, as his mouth began to froth.

"Oops," He smiled, showing everyone the electic buzzer. Dennis looked like he was in epileptic shock, until he stopped moving all together.

Until he was dead.

"See!" Joker laughed at that, walking out of the store, "Dennis gets me!"

He was laughing all the way down the street, before he was stopped. His jaw fell open, lime green hair falling down his white face. What he was was the biggest toughest damn man the Joker had ever seen.

This guy was incredible! He gave those damned world heavyweight lifter's a run for their money.

He saw the man, and the giant hill of a man saw him. The Joker held out his food, hot greasy burgers and fries.

"You hungry?"

Spiderman

By the time Peter woke up, the phone had been ringing for damn near a minute. He tried three times to pick it up, his hand missing just slightly each time before he pulled up the receiver to his head.

"Who is..."

"Damnit Parker, what in the hell?"

Parker woke up, instantly, his eyes shooting forward as he rose from the warm covers. Yawning, he remembered this voice. It was one of Jameson's men, late night assistant who usually called when stories needed to be photographed. Parker, having no real life, was the one this guy called first.

He looked at the clock, shaking his head, back over to his Spiderman suit still lying on the bedroom floor. How long had he taken it off, barely an hour ago? He tried to get some sleep...

"Something's happening in Times Square. Calls are going over the radio like mad. First someone starts flipping cars all over the streets, now there's a strange glow."

Flipping cars? Who could do that? Magneto, Rhino, hell... even he could have done it if he still wore that symbiote suit. As it stood now, he had trouble lifting a VW beetle.

"Ok...ok, I'm on my way."

Parker yawned, putting the phone back, and standing to grab the only two things he needed. His suit, and his camera.

He web slung all the way over to Times Square, more tired than interested in what was happening. He couldn't touch Magneto if he wanted to, besides, wasn't Magneto part of the U.N. now, what would be the point of flipping over cars?

For Rhyno it made more sense to flip cars, yet... even that needed something to cause Rhyno's rage. Rhyno wasn't very smart, but he wasn't stupid either. Something would have had to...

And then Spiderman saw it. Something green was glowing in Times Square. He landed on a rooftop, ducking down, trying to see what it was. What was that? A person, it almost looked like.

His spidersense wasn't going off... Spidey wasn't in any immediate danger.

Taking out his camera, he snapped some pictures, getting that part overwith. The zoom let him look around, to see what else...

Venom!

Spidey saw it, through the lens cap, Venom swinging his way over. How had that happened? What was Venom doing here? Was this Venom's plan, something he devised? This guy in green, was he another symbiote? Carnage was red, Venom was black... could there be a green one as well?

Spiderman jumped down, falling hundreds of feet, both webs slinging out, catching venom and wrapping him tightly around it. Spiderman landed on the wrapped up body, looking at him upside down.

"Brock... who's your little glowing friend over there? Now come on, you need to tell me when you bring new guests. I would have baked a cake."

Vergil Hawkins' day had started normally. Well, as normally as the Metahuman superhero's day usually started. He was flying around Gotham, doing patrols for Batman while Robin was out. Very few people noticed him, until the criminals found themselves stuck to walls. He had only found a few criminals, when suddenly everything changed. The world seemed to change colors, and suddenly a big guy in black and white with teeth and a long tongue was hurling cars around or something. Then he saw another guy in red and blue wrap the bigger guy up in some kind of web. Not knowing who was the good guy, Static held back for a moment, wishing Gear were there. Then he flew closer, landing nearby and folding up the Mylar disc he used to get around. "Never seen you around Gotham. What's your name?"

Meanwhile, high above the city:

Parnell was confused. The suit's sensors had to be out of whack, he thought. According to them, parts of the city were no longer New York. That wasn't possible, he thought. Then he remembered the guy he had seen earlier. His eyes widened inside the suit. He could contact Tony Stark or Jim Rhodes to verify it, but he didn't want to talk to either of them. Instead, he made a beeline for Empire State University, planning to talk with one of the scientists there. At the very least, it could give him an idea of what was going on.

Batman

He leapt from one rooftop to the next, running across the city like a wraith, his black cape trailing behind him. The sounds of sirens came to his ears, and he bit off a curse. He'd never find Napier if he had to stop and pummel some fool who decided to raise hell in his city. He would ignore it and let the police sort it out.

Then a second siren joined them. And a third. And a fourth.

He slowed to a stop. Someone was causing no end to damage. Joker . . .

He grappled over to a taller building across the street. It sounded like it was coming from . . .

He skidded to a stop, his mouth hanging open slightly. It took a lot to fluster Batman. He'd stared death in the face more times than he could count, and should have been dead by now many times over. But this rattled him.

He had been through this part of town countless times. Had ran over these rooftops at will. But here, in his way, was a gleaming clean, concrete, pointed skyscraper that towered over everything else in the area. It was also a building he knew for a fact wasn't here yesterday.

"What the . . ."

And explosion rocked the city and he made his decision. Handle what you can, first. Come back and deal with this later.

He had to gapple around this mysterious building to get on his way. It took him moments more to find the cause of the damage.

A mountain of a man, larger than anyone he had seen in Gotham, with the exception of Bane, possibly. And he was talking to the man Batman had been searching for.

"New player in town. I should have known you'd be behind this, Joker . . ."

He readied the sleeping gas . . . it was a new formula he came up with recently, faster acting and stronger . . . and repelled down the side of the building to an alley.

He wouldn't show himself until he knew what he was up against.

Stepping behind her with one quick motion,Oliver leaned in behind her to whisper softly into her ear "I know you don't forgive me for what I did and I want to tell you that I feel bad about it because your the only one good thing in my life and that I love you. Yes the Bat and the Arrow had always been at odds with one another, especially when Dinah had a passing fancy for the dark knight. That phase passed quickly, as many of her infatuations did, hell her marriage hadn't even lasted a year. Deep down Dinah was convinced that she was no good at relationships, she either picked the wrong guys or the right guys at the wrong time. Ollie had been the first, the only, real long term man in her life, one she was never quite able to get over or replace. Maybe part of that was her fault for not really looking, but after Green Arrow really what point was there? Sex aside, and it had been nearly spiritual in it intensity, she loved him and somewhere deep down she knew he loved her. If that was only enough.

She knew he had followed her into the kitchen, quiet as his steps were she knew every nuance of his movement. She shivered at his touch along her bare skin, the soft moist press of lips at the tender skin on the back of her neck. She tensed under that contact torn between begging for more of him and shoving him away, in the end he made the decision for her. That was Ollie, when things got tense or emotional he walked away. It was what broke the flood gates, Dinah whirled on him, splayed tendrils of gold whipping around in the fury of her movements. She snagged his wrist in her grip, even a good foot shorter and some hundred pounds light Dinah could stop him in his tracks. She yanked him to face her, scowling and building up a head of steam the likes of which he hadn't seen since Seattle.

"God Damn it Ollie! You would just let me walk out now wouldn't you? You'd let me leave without anything more then that."

Sparks flew in those gray blue eyes, arching like lightning with her words. He could say he loved her, confess that and still be so willing to walk away from her, in the past she'd always let him but not this time. No, she was making a stand here and now. She had his attention, her grip on his wrist released and she folded her arms over her chest, looking up at him in anger. Of everyone in the JLA or anywhere, Dinah was never afraid to call Queen on his bullshit, and this was a prime example. He could talk big, but where was the back up for it? Where was he making any sort of move to prove he meant a damn word of it?

"You know what I want Ollie? What I always wanted? You can go out and fight, to your last damn breath to stop drug dealers and pimps and rapists. You will put your life on the line every night out there and give it everything you've got... Why can't you fight for us? For me? Tell me that much..you owe me that much. What is so damned easy to die for out there that isn't right here and right now?"

Could he even understand? She'd watched him almost kill himself so many times in the pursuit of justice, he fought to save people. Why couldn't he save them? Why was everyone else worth fighting for and she wasn't? She teetered between fury and tears, somehow fighting both back enough to keep her back straight and her fists from flying. He was in not shape right now to take a beating from her and she was in no emotional shape to be completely forgiving. They were too passionate and at times like this that was what lead to their conflicts. The fire had always drawn them together, warmed their bed and their lives, perhaps fire could only burn so long before it snuffed itself out or raged beyond control.

She'd given everything she had in the outburst, confronted him and finally told him what she'd been holding back for years. He could cheat, he could lie...hell he'd even left her in Seattle for over a year. But if she knew, if he could show her he was at least willing to fight for them...it would be a start. His damned pride and arrogance kept him from showing his feelings most of the time, luckily she;d learned long ago how to read through the bravado and to his meaning. This was not the benefit he was getting now though. Injured as he might be, dark and hopeless as his situation was she was going to pout him on the spot. It was go time Ollie, let the arrows fly and see if any hit the target.

Oliver had almost made it to his study when Dinah had caught up to him and clamped around his wrist.Oliver was pratically standing in the doorway to his study when she had caught him.He stopped moving and turned to look at her, standing with a stright back and looking deep into her blue gray eyes. They were like the doorway to her soul and could she really was hurting that she was lost and couldn't decide whether to beat him within an inch of his life or to break into tears.Oliver felt her emotions,he felt her pain and hurt as it seemed to roll off of her.Oliver put a strong face on though, his tough outer armor that hid his emotions from the world, his armor crafted from years of hardship and his pride,he would never slip up and show how he really felt.He would just put on a tough face and pretend nothing was wrong, exactly what he was doing now.

Oliver was a bit taken back by her demand and her harsh tone. She had never been his angry with him like this before or at least she had never at least shown it.Oliver really wondered whether or not he really knew as much as he claimed to know about Dinah.Oliver was quiet,he couldn't say anything for once:despite the fact that a hundreds of jokes ran through his mind, this was not the time to joke. Finally Oliver sighed and brought his strong arms.He grabbed Dinah firmly around the wrist, not enough to hurt her but enough to let her know he wasn't kidding around.Leading her into his study,he took her into complete darkness.

There wasn't a single light in the study though you didn't need light to see the amount of money Oliver had put into his study. Two of the walls were completely covered in nicely polished and intricately carved bookshelves that were as tall of the roof, covered in first edition hard backs of thousands of books. Also towards the back was his desk, handcrafted by the same man who made Jason Todd's casket for batman. It was crafted with arrow insignias as a funny joke between Oliver and the carpenter. On the wall right next to the door was a complete alcohol cabnit full of all sorts of goodies from 400 year old wines,Scotch from the highlands of Scotland and even wisky made during the Wisky Rebellion right after the constitution was formed.Leading her over towards his desk,He pulled the remote to his study off the desk and clicked the power button, the fine lamps and the over head light immediately illuminated the entire study. Also, the soft music of Grover Washington begin to play from his stereo, his most famous song "Just the Two Us"Descreetly, before the lights flickered on,Oliver had slipped his hand in his upper drawer and removed the ring he had made for her.He clenched his hand into a fist to hide the ring.

"Why do I put life on the line? I put my life on the line to make a better world for the two us,for the people in Star City but I try to make this a better world for the two us,just the two us because I don't care about anything but just the two of us.Your the one thing I have always cared about and I wanted you to know how much you mean to me....Dinah..." Oliver was about to take a knee and extend his hand when out of no where, fate played a cruel twist. Shaking the entire house as it when off, suddenly a blinding light could be seen from the window facing the city.Oliver immediately knew something was wrong: A bomb had just been detonated.

Oliver stopped in the middle of his sentence and immediately broke out into a full speed run, moving past Dinah with one quickly move.He dashed through the open door way from his study.Flinging the door to his basement open with a loud crash Oliver flew down the stairs into his basement, racing down the top stairs and then jumping down the rest,to land gracefully on his feet.Oliver was racing against time itself as he clapped loudly, the lights in the room comming on almost instantly, illuminating his basement and his headquarters.Running over to his wardrobe,Oliver quickly pulled one of the dark and light green tunic of a hanger and threw it on,slipping his arms through the sleeves.Looking down at his already gloved hand and at the ring inside his clenched fist,Oliver growled. No matter what he did,no matter how hard he tried he would never be able to tell Dinah how he really felt.It was if the gods above made sure that no matter what happened he would never be truely happy.Throwing the ring away in anger,Oliver quickly pulled on his thin green eye mask and readjusted his hat.He was in costume again finally and he hid his emotions down deep inside himself.

Running over to his armory of weapons,Oliver pulled one of his other longbows off the wall.He set the edge of the bow on the ground and quickly pulled the thick string up,setting it in place.Taking the worn leather grip in his left hand,Oliver raised the bow and tested the pull of the string, pulling it back slightly to make sure it was combat ready.Pulling a quiver off the wall as well, full of his entire arsenal of trick arrows,Oliver quickly slung it over his back.Oliver took a second to catch a deep breath, though his heart was beating a mile and minitue and rage burned through his veins. He was tired at how unfair the world was. Clark had Lois,he had not trouble spending time with her but whenever Oliver Queen wanted to spend time with the woman he loved, there was always trouble and Star City needed its protector.

"You hungry?"

Someone was in his way. Some absolute moron in a, Bright. Loud. Purple suit? Someone was still in his way. Cain Sped up a moment Till he smeeled the tantalizing smell of a Quarter Pounder. With Cheese. How did that gay guy Northstar always say it. Avec Fromage. God damn but that smelled good.

Ok his mind was made up, now Cain was going to mug him for his burgers. Cain was going to mug...a Clown? Cain slowed up just a small bit. His Size 23 Boots making only cracks in the pavement now.

There he was. Green hair slicked back, a wild grin in a puple suit, with horrible plaids. Ghost white face, and Blood red lips. Standing as if he hadn't a care in the world while Juggernaut smashed his way towards him. Either he was a god or a certifiable Loon. Cain assumed Loon.

With a sneer and a growled out, "Thanks Ronald. Didn't know you delivered." Cain snatched the bag of burgers. Happy meals and a quarter pounder. Avec fromage. Cain Took a happy bite popping the entire kids Cheeseburger in his mouth and chewing slowly. He kept walking now, willing to eat, and talk with his mouth full. "So what circus did you escape from that you're now here, walking with me? No wait Don't answer, Mimes don't speak"
Cain Dumped both bags of fries into his mouth. Oh the grease was like heaven hot and salty, These boys in whereever he was made good fries. He popped the other cheeseburger in. But they were Damn chintzy with the ketchup.

Cain looked and Poked the guy in purple, "Don't suppose you managed to bring any ketchup with you, they always cheat me on the ketchup."

Cain chewed hard and thought long walking slowly beside the clown. He started chewing the quarter pounder almost mournfully. his food was gone. he didn't need it but it tasted good. He snatched up one of the tiny sodas and slurped it down loudly before tossing the cup away. Finally he let out a long Belch and turned to the clown. "Alright Now I'm happy too. So what's with the Grease-paint and big grin Ronald? Clowns can talk now I guess."

"Well there ya at!" Rogue dropped down to the streets, eyeing Betsy's companion. "Got yerself a new friend, do ya?" She gave a smirk, folding her arms as she glanced around.

"One heckuva mess goin' around here. Take it Charles' brother decided to take a stroll 'round town?" She righted a Grand Cherokee in the middle of the street, resting it back on four wheels before leaning against it. "Ya think that fella'd jus' send a card tah say hi. Not this kinda shit.."

------------

"Ma'am, you're... uh... a bit too big to be in there..."

A pale white face pressed against the play area's net, a scowl on her face as she grabbed hold on the young man's shirt. "You callin' me FAT?!," Harley snarled out, her eyes narrowed behind the black mask over them.

"N-no! Its just- Adults aren't allowed in there...," the kid stammered out, shaking as the clown woman released his shirt and dived into the ball pit.

"Pfft... I ain't too big. I'm smaller than some of the piggies runnin' around here..." She reached out, poking a rather large man outside of the grated fence. "Oink!" With a shrill laugh, she scooted down the side slide and over to the large statue of the chain's clown mascot, hopping up into its outstretched arms. "Ya know, the reason this place does so good ain't the food. Ya got the perfect theme goin' here..." Leaning her head back across the cold arm, she pointed to the kid again, her tassles bouncing. "Ohhh! Greaseboy! Ya know watcha need?! A new spokesman! And ya know who'd be great?! My PUDDIN'!"

Jumping down from the statue's grip, she gave it a hard kick, knocking it over. "Don't feel me up, Coldfingers. I'm a one-clown kinda gal..." She paused, glancing around. "Speakin' a' which..."

Betsy brushed some imaginary lint from her shoulder noting Rogue had left their bags some place. "I don't so suppose you have our bags waiting behind the register?" she asked dryly not really caring. She could go shopping again some other time.

Looking at her new companion she frowned. There had been no talk of any new mutants in the area from Charles so this was completely by accident. "What's your name?" she asked.

===
Ivy turned to look at the southern woman then back at the other Betsy she had caught her name. "Pamela." she said, no since giving them information if they didn't know who she was. There didn't seem to be a Batman about, which worked great for her. She could befriend these fools and capitalize on the interesting world she'd been unceremoniously thrown into.

Rogue whinced at Psyloche's question, biting her lip. "Ahhh... Woops. Well, at least they're still in front'a that last store..." She gave a slight nervous laugh, then shrugged. "S'pose that killed our gal's day out, huh?"
She glanced to the new woman, her tongue playing with the side of her cheek. "Pamela, huh?" She nodded. "M' name's Rogue. Y' already met Betsy, I take it... Ya new in town? Maybe we could show ya 'round." Her frown returned as she glanced back to the messy streets. "Apologies fer the nasty greetin' Juggernaut gave. Ain't always like that 'round here. Jus' rare occasions."

"Charming fellow I'm sure..." Ivy returned bidding her time. She didn't know these people for squat but they seemed ligit. Though it was quite odd to be thrown here and suddenly chased by a behemoth like that. Ah well... nothing new there he was on par with Bane give or take in her opinion.

"Lets return to the shop, see about getting our things and check for any hurt citizens. Charles will most likely want a report of whats going on." she sighed deeply staring at Rogue. "You should probably know that Cain sorta vanished. We were in the middle of a classic cat and mouse and the next thing I know he crashes into the botanicals there and nothing... he was just gone. I'm guessing it takes some massive energy flux to make Cain disappear like that, especially when moving."

Joker

(I'll post for Spiderman when Venom gets a chance to respond)

"This? Unfortunately a side effect from an accident. An old friend of mine thought it would be a joke to put me in vat of chemicals. It was a joke, wasn't it?"

He laughed at that, shrilling into the night, until it wasn't funny anymore. Damn bats, the joke would be on him soon enough.

Joke then eyed the large and in charge man up and down.

Well, wasn't this a behaved rock though. Like a lap dog that needed only a bit of training before he could go out and be shown to all the other pet owners. Yes, wouldn't that be a sight, Joker striding along in his best suit, all purple and lace, with this huge mountain in front of him, clearing out his path.

"You look like a man of strength, but not particularly brains, my good man. Perhaps, I could do the thinking for us? Lots of money to be had, lots of girls too. Just tell me what you want, jolly grey giant, and it is yours. We can have a fun time in Gotham, I guarantee it."

To walk around this guy was lunacy, the Joker did so, eyeing such muscle, such strength. All of it pooled into this one ball of design. This was, the physical perfection.

This is the one who could end Batman once and for all.

"What if you showed me what you can do, huh? Show the silly clown what you are capable of. I want to see... "

His eyes were all over the city, looking at parked cars and windows and buildings. It was empty, no one could be seen, but nontheless filled with fun things for a man such as himself to destroy with those massive beef patties for hands he had there.

Cain nodded his head. it was lways some joke. Always some guy who did it to someone. Cain was about to comment about them bastards when the guy started Laughing. And Laughing. And laughing. Geez that was creepy.

Was he being insluted. Eh guess it showed. cain wasn't the sharpest knife in anyone's drawer, he knew that, didn't really need it pointed out. And now this guy was wandering him like a freaking buyer at the horse races. Cain was about to open hi mouth about it till the guy started talking money. And Babes. Man it had been at least 18 months since She Hulk had taken some pity on him. Juggernaut got the feeling that if anyone guy knew where to find a women for him this guy would likely know.

Juggernaut followed the mans gaze to a long street. Not as crowded full of a few things.

"So you want a demonstration huh? Ok I suppose for the burgers I can take a jog. Need the exercise, gotta keep my girlish figure don't I." Cain laughed heartily andbegan running, Moving quickly down the street He came upon the first vehicle in his way having built no more than small head of steam and lowered his head against the civic. It crumpled as he ran through it the engine not even providing the smallest bit of resistance as even the solid block cracked in two under his head.

"Like that? Part two coming up." Cain picked up more steam really becoming the iconic jugegrnaut as he stomped entirely over a bug. It wasn't big enough to make an impact and his massive legs drove through the hood the roof and tehn through the car leaving what appeared like a metallic turkey ripped open to scoop stuffing. Cain turned and began to barrel back down the block Kicking a pickup and sending it rolling on it's side He burst through it a moment later Smashing throguh the cab sending glass sprinkling everywhere.

He looked over at a Semi end parked for delivery It would serve for a coup de grace. He walked over and lifted the truck trying to kep it balnced and making sure it didn't crack as he turned it end over end to come crashing down the street, destroying the vechicles he previously crushed. One of the doors came open, and chattering children's toys waddled out from broken boxes and packing peanuts. Juggernaut flattened a toy penguin to walk back up to Joker.

"So that good? Terms are you don't call me Dumb again, I get 50% of takes, and a half mill up front. I'm the Juggernaut, Who are you clown? Or should I say Boss?"
