Marvel: The Mutant Outbreak (IC)

Angel hadn't been paying that much attention to anyone, as the mutated creatures began to rush out of broken widows she had rushed over to the edge and quickly swooped down behind them. Her way of dealing with creatures who couldn't fly, was grabbing them rather awkwardly before flying straight up and dropping them from a great height onto the top of the Oscorp building. If the rat that went first was anything to go by, the flesh and ooze that it turned into on impact with the concrete didn't seem to have the ability to regroup and reform. That would have been another big problem.

She did have a brief moment of relief after flying a full circle around the building and seeing nothing else trying to escape. That meant they were escaping internally, if at all. So far she had turned at least a handful of creatures into pulp. And as she re-entered the window she had left from, she looked as though she had been sweating.

"I tried to get any of them that were crawling down the outside of the building, Oscorp should probably invest in a cleaner specifically for the roof though...it's rather pulp covered.

X, don't clench..."
Angel informed before rushing up behind him and wrapping her arms around his chest. There was the briefest of moments before they fell forward out the window and her wings took their weight.

"Sorry, but Spiderman seems rather good at herding," she apologized, making sure her grip was tight as she flew above the buildings. It wasn't difficult to follow Connors, but she made sure to keep back far enough for him not to notice them adding to his chase. Spiderman was to provide the heat, perhaps even Venom...X and Angel would be the catchers.

"So, what's the plan?" she asked, wondering if he wanted her to just drop him on top of Conners. A flying axe missile...but decided he probably wouldn't want to do something quite that silly.

"Our name is Venom, we're no demon. And how do you except us to be able to lock down the building when several windows and walls are already broken? Plus with several animals already fleeing? ...Hmmmm... animals... even if they are mutated so are they still animals..." Suddenly turning around Venom looked towards the labs contents, mosto f it spread out across the room, and with information feed to him by the symbiote Venom walked over to one of the shelves and pulled out a bottle, of many, with the word Pheromones on it. Holding out the bottle he asked the others if it could be of use. "What about these bottles of pheromones? Animals are attracted by pheromones right? We can use it to attract the animals to a specific location, perhaps were we can destroy them all before they cause too much havoc."

Kris watched as spiderman and captian X along with angel took off to go and find Conners/Lizard. With them gone it was left with him, knives along with the girl with camera to deal with the creatures that was still inside the building.

H wasnt sure how to stop all of them when the demon, who said his name was venom asked about pheromones if that would work. it was a good idea but they would need to do it in a open space to where they would have no chance to escape. Also when they are trapped what to do with them. He wasn't sure about the numbers of mutated animals there were, maybe if they were trapped they could kill one another.

One thing he wished was for that thing to get here quickly it should have locked onto the gps signal on his phone.

" Be safe" Kris quickly told the three of them as they left out of the window

" i think that may work but where shall be led them to " he quickly asked venom

In the distance he could hear the rumbling of jets, from where it was it did sound somewhat close. But he couldn't see it yet, as he turned back he could see the red head lifting the heavy ax. As he looked behind her he could see a giant pig snorting, preparing to charge her.

before he could warn her about the impending danger he watched as something burst through the wall taking out the pig. what ever took the pig out quickly returned and this time the pig went flying out the window its squeals echoed as it fell to the ground.

"Well with this thing here i should be able to provide more help" Kris quickly added as he waited for what little dust that was thrown up to settle down.

as the dust started to settle down a shape could be seen, more and more could be seen. at first glance it looked like a type of armor, as soon as he got close enough the entire thing opened up and kris set himself inside of it.

with various hisses as the unit closed, he was encased in what looked like armor. The visor slowly glowed red before turing to a blue color.

' This is slightly more better" Kris's voice emerged from the unit, he was right in a way. it could take on more of a beating then what he was wearing , but that dosnt mean he's not invulnerable.

Laura slowly pushed herself off the ground, her head spinning from the contact with Venom. Everything had fallen into chaos around her, screaming animals and blood around every corner. She saw Captain X and most of the others escape out the massive hole and started running forward to pursue. Before she could get far however one of the screaming monkeys came charging to intercept. The massive primate leapt through the air, fanged mouth slobbering. Contemptuously Laura whipped around, her leg snapping up and around to cleanly slice through the animal's throat before leaning back to let it fly past her and collide limply with a wall.

Before she could turn back however another was on her, this time a dog that had grown to the size of a small bear. The beast collided with her back, knocking the girl onto the ground. Lunging forward it pounced, but in an instant Laura had pushed herself up with her hands, extending a foot straight back to slide a claw neatly through its' lower jaw and into the brain beyond. The dog stumbled sideways before collapsing into the wall next to it, breaking through the drywall before dying. Laura stood and regarded the animal curiously, an eyebrow raised, It seemed like it was still moving...

Then the rats came. Dozens of them, huge vicious things that swarmed from the hole at Laura. Laura spun and fell backwards, massive rats biting and clawing their way up her body. Her claws slashed and stabbed in a blur, leaving a trail of dead rats as she stumbled away. Her blood mingled with theirs as huge yellow fangs tore into her flesh. With a snarl Laura finally fell back into the hole, the weight of the rats finally overwhelming her.

For several minutes they were gone from sight, only the sounds of squeals and struggling coming from the hole. After a few minutes the sounds finally died down, and a moment later Laura emerged from the hole limping. She was covered in gore, her skin more red than pink. A huge tear ran up one of her legs, closing slowly as she leaned against a nearby door for support. Her injuries were closing more slowly now, innumerable cuts and bites almost too much for Laura's healing factor to handle. Finally the massive wound on her leg sealed itself up, torn tights and skirt revealing a milky white thigh beneath. Her metal hairclip had fallen out and her long black hair hung heavy with blood, obscuring her face. Just as she was considering her next move Laura stopped, her internal clock finally ticking. The time frame for her mission was almost up, she was supposed to meet her handler at the extraction point soon. Laura glanced over at the strange armored figure who had appeared while she was fighting and the red-haired woman fighting with an axe but there wasn't time to engage them at this point. Turning away she darted down the hallway, quickly disappearing amidst the chaos.

Mary had been in the middle of trying to figure out what exactly she was going to do about the rhino sized pig when something came from nowhere and hit it. Twice. The second blow sent it falling out the window. Without thinking Laura ran to the window, it was still falling when she got there and it it formed a little crater when it hit. "You've got to be kidding." She whispered. It was hurt, it was probably dying even. It was not however dead. Even at the distance she was at she could see the thing somehow struggle back to it's feet. "Oh know you don't Pumba."

She glanced back inside, Venom had come up with some sort of plan and that plan involved something that would lure the monsters to them. She hadn't seen when but he must have thrown it at Knives to get her back for stabbing him. Every rat made a B-line for her, Mary managed to kill a few enroute but the mass of rodents eventually got so thick that the floor gave way beneath them all. Laura had never heard anything quite like that before, she was nervously approaching the hole when a blood drenched woman emerged. She was utterly unrecognizable beneath the coating of gore. "Are you okay?"

Instead of answering the woman ran away. Mary started after her but she immediately lost the woman down the labyrinthine halls. She returned to hole noticing a hair clip, she picked it up and tucked it into a pocket. She could do a follow up story on her and now she was fairly certain she was going to live long enough for that to be an issue.

"Oh yeah. I have something to do. That X guy said we should catch up and I think we're done here. Other than that monkey behind you Iron Man." She smiled and stepped off the edge of the tower. As easy as climbing up had been down was simple, with the axe to grip the walls and windows when she needed and gravity doing the rest she was down in a moment.

The pig was trying to limp away from the scene when she landed in front of it. Mary hefted the surprisingly light axe in both hands and stepped forward. Then it snorted and she remembered wounded or not the thing was almost as big as a rhino! Mary smiled trying to think of something to distract her from the danger. "This little piggy cried wee wee wee all the way home." She whispered in the most threatening voice she could muster. It sounded more sexy and husky though. The pig couldn't tell though. It screamed. She screamed. They screamed and rushed towards each other.

If the pig hadn't suffered a fall and a broken leg it would most likely have won the fight. But it had. And it did not. She slipped to one side and decapitated the pig. "Hakuna Matada. . . you filthy animal!" She shouted triumphantly.

Mary made a mental note to write down clever quips for later. Making them up on the spot did not work out nearly as well as those television shows made it look.

"We've got what we need and we know what to do. We need to get these creatures and the Lizard away from populated areas of the city or more lives will be lost. We know a lot of abandoned buildings in the Ghetto that are empty of people and filled with old wiring, gas lines and other hazards that nobody has bothered to do anything about. We will put the pheromones on ourselves and take their attention." Pouring out the content onto a piece of cloth venom warped it around his neck, intending to use the cloth as bait after getting to a proper building, before leaping out the window and used his web to swing himself over the air near the rampaging mutants. The scent of the pheromones spread with the window and in the middle of the chaos outside froze several of the mutated animals and looked upwards with hungry eyes after the black shape of Venom ash e rushed over rooftops and webslinged himself over the streets.

A swarm of mutants rushed across the streets, the roofs and more, people were running in panic as the horde rushed past them, using cars, buildings, balconies and solid structures to launch themselves after the pheromone drenched vigilante. Their frantic clawing, lumbering steps, ferocious roars and screeches were making a crescendo of chaos as they charged after Venom like a mass of mutation. As he flung himself across the streets Venom saw a large lizard creature at the front of the horde, drooling like a rabid dog with claws drawn and making serpentine noises, Conners had caught wisps of the pheromones as well it would seem.

"Come little vermin, follow us to your doom! We, Venom, shall be the ones to remove your filth from this world and give you a first class ride to Hell!" He roared out at the horde and he casually grasped hold of a flag post, spun around a few times before launching himself off like a catapult projectile and he could see the outskirts of the ghetto. All around were people were running around in panic but thankfully were the mutants not interested in them, some got injured by the sheer numbers of rushing creatures but thankfully had most of the people had sense and leave the streets clear when they saw the horde approach.

"Home sweet home eh?" Venom mutters to himself sourly as he leaps over the rooftops of the neighbourhood he had called home his entire life, which eh ad also called Hell his entire life. Well now he was bringing the party favours, in the shape of a mutated horde and scientist, to be blown up like the 4th of July. Not even sparing a glance as he leaped onto the head of a member of the Blood Snakes on top of their HQ, crushing his head, Venom leaped onwards, a straight route towards the abandoned buildings of the Ghetto, so hazardous and nearly falling apart not even drug users or the homeless wanted to use them.

"I think he's more animal than man. Just make sure we keep him moving in that direction!" Captain X shouted just before the angel picked him and start carrying him towards the Dragon.

I sure hope I'm making the right decisions. I don't know these people and it's been a long time since I've been any kind of true leader. His mind wandered for a moment back to Wakanda, he'd been part of a team but the word meant something a little different there. They didn't usually have a distinct leader during an operation. They were more like a single organism. A head, arms, legs, weapons but one soul with one goal not this hodge podge he'd stumbled into and a mistake here could have long reaching issues.

Now wasn't the time to think about that though. Now was the time to focus on the job at hand and if everybody lived through this. . .

What then? Do I take these guys and form some kind of band? What would I even call them? The Defenders? Sensational Six? Team America World Police? The Powerful Rangers? Spiderman and his Amazing friends? Isaiah pushed the thought from his mind as they started approaching the Dragon.

"This is gonna hurt." He groaned. He didn't wait for the Angel holding him to register what he'd said. She was an agent of the Lord and she'd object to something this stupid. Captain X twisted slightly and slipped free of her grasp aiming his descent towards the Dragon.

Still descending he pulled his remaining Sword Axe from his back clutched it overhead and came down feet first, axe second onto the Dragons back. The axe dug a few inches into it's shoulder. It lowered onto all fours bucking back and forth trying to remove Captain X who desperatly hung on, not because he wanted to be on the creature's back but he had a sudden and intense desire not to be in front of the creature.

" Hey wait" Kris quickly shouted when he saw the red head jump out of the window and presumably to the ground below. He saw that knives had taken off after kill a lot of rats, from what he saw it seemed like she enjoyed the site of blood and death.

the next one to leave was the venom guy who had put some of the pheromones on a piece of cloth and took out of the window. with most the animals going to where every he was head. with his mind made up he took a tattered lab coat and put it on then put a few of the pheromones on the coat and took off and caught up with venom.

one thing he didnt like that venom had done was that he crushed a person, even though he was or looked like a gang member still they were a country of laws. It was then a thought crossed his mind. that maybe that he was the one who was killing the various gangmembers along with that priest.

As he looked to where he was headed he saw that it was what the people called the ghetto. He never traveled to this place that often, he knew a few people who have lived in this place.

" So how much farther" Kris quickly asked when he was able to catch up with venom.

"Just up ahead! Now keep your head clear cause this building is littering with broken gas lines and lose wirings!" Venom shouted as he suddenly leaped forward and grasped hold of another web line he fired at a building and flung himself into the air before slamming into the top floor window of a fifteen story building, shards of glass and wood showered over the rotten floor and Venom had to quickly leap up onto the roof to not fall down the hole his impact caused.

The creatures were soon swarming up the building and within minutes were half their numbers inside, the building was groaning and buckling from the horde and Venom put the piece of cloth he had gotten onto an old rusty antenna on the rooftop and leaped up onto the antenna as the doorway to the roof broken open as the snarling and drooling creatures rushed out, the building was filled to the brim and Venom hope that the others would have time to ignite the gas lines in the building before it collapse. He fired out nets of web over different mutants while his tendrils, armed with spikes, smacked and penetrated their bodies as they attempted to leap up onto his frame. "Ignite the gas lines! Just shoot the building and it will ignite like a Roman candle! Quickly before they move away from here!"

Venom knew that it would be a possibility for his symbiote to be badly injured by the heat and flames, but he had no other choice, the creatures had to be taken care off or the people would suffer the consequences. Sighing in resignation to himself Venom could only hope he survived this ordeal as his tendrils and fists tried to keep the mutants at bay, but the pile was building up and they were starting to climb over their own dead to reach him.

With the rest of the mutated horde rushing out of the building it wasn't hard for Laura to slip out into the basement and cut her way through a maintenance door. The sun had set and the city sky was alight with flashing emergency lights and the sounds of sirens. As Laura slipped along the outside of the building, staying close to the walls of the building, she caught her reflection in one of the windows. She stopped to inspect herself, she was covered in blood, nearly every inch of her skin red. Her clothing was torn to shreds, the back of her t-shirt was gone and it only hung loosely on her because of the sleeves, her skirt was torn on one side almost to the hip with a matching tear in the tights underneath exposing her thigh. Her feet were covered only by the shredded remains of her socks, huge holes cut into them by the claws on her feet. Frowning she quickly glanced around looking for a solution. Laura's gaze caught on something, her eyebrow raised before she approached the corner of the street. An isolated fire hydrant sat next to the road. After looking around and seeing no one nearby she flexed her arm and a single claw slid from her left hand. With a quick slash the cover of the fire hydrant was carved off and a torrent of water burst out. Stepping into the stream Laura was lost in the powerful spray, crimson water running down her legs and into a nearby drain. She stood that way for several minutes, arms outstretched and eyes closed, reveling in the feel of the cold water barraging her.

Once the water running off Laura had turned from a deep red to a light pink she stepped out of the hydrant's path. The blood was washed from her skin, pale white streaks contrasting her dark clothing wherever there was a tear. Nodding to herself Laura pulled in her claw and set off again, padding through the empty streets like a shadow. As she moved through the alleys, trying to stay out of sight, Laura noticed panicked crowds running away from the direction of Oscorp. With so much going on the police were too distracted to spot one ragged girl sneaking by, and before long she had reached a massive parking structure. Slipping past the barrier she walked slowly around the building's levels, illuminated by dim yellow lights reflecting off the many parked cars. Finally she reached the 6th floor, her designated extraction spot, only to find herself alone. Her handler should have been waiting here.

With no other directives Laura decided to simply wait patiently. As she stood alone in the building she heard the police sirens and sounds of screams travelling strangely through the city, as if the chaos was moving away from Oscorp. Suddenly she turned at the sound of crunching gravel. A moment later a figure appeared, riding a bicycle up the otherwise lonely parking garage. Laura spotted him before he could see her in the shadows, a young boy maybe nine or ten. She stayed still as stone, hoping he would ride by, but just as he was passing through the boy flicked on a light on the front of his bike, revealing the girl. He skidded to a stop in fright, but soon stared at her curiously.

"Hey, are you alright?" He asked, clearly concerned with her disheveled state. He got off his bike and kicked down the stand, starting to approach Laura.

"Get out of here." Laura growled, glaring at him from behind the straight black hair hanging over the right half of her face.

"You clothes, they're all torn. Did someone beat you up?" He continued forward obliviously.

"I'm FINE! Now Get out of here!" She shouted, her sharp tone causing the boy to pause and step back. He looked like he was ready to run away when another set of footsteps echoed off the concrete walls. Laura's emerald eyes drifted past the boy's shoulder to the figure coming up behind them, her expression changing from annoyance to despair.

"Well well 23, did you make a new friend?" The man in sunglasses said, adjusting the red and blue buttons on his coat. He smiled at the boy, resting his hands on his hips.

"What's your name young man?" He asked congenially.

"I'm Tom." The boy responded, calming down at the man's friendly grin.

"He's no one!" Laura snapped, her voice strained with desperation, "He's just riding through, he doesn't know me."

"Oh now 23 don't say that, he's clearly a very responsible young man." Her handler responded, taking off his sunglasses and winking slyly at her. "Tom you say?" he continued, turning back to the boy, "It's pretty dangerous being out here at night. Thank you for looking after 23 for me. Tom." His expression never changed from a friendly smile, which is why the boy didn't even react as the man slipped his hand into his jacket.

"NOOOOO!" Laura screamed, but she barely made it two steps forward when the gunshot rung out. A moment later the boy fell sideways into his bike, both collapsing to the ground in a tangle of limbs, metal and blood. Tom looked more suprised than anything else, looking down at the red stain quickly spreading from his heart before his head fell limp.

Laura was trembling, tears running down her cheeks, her shaking hands caused reflections to glint and dance off her emerging claws. With a scream of rage she launched herself at

the handler like an arrow. He actually looked scared for a moment, his left hand scrambling over his coat buttons, and for just a second it seemed Laura would eviscerate him before he could react. Just as she reached him however the man found the blue button on his coat and pressed it, the air filled with hissing sound as the trigger scent spread.

The instant it hit Laura's nose she skidded to a stop, pupils dilating wildly and all emotion draining from her face. Her shoulders slumped and her arms hung limply, claws sliding back into her skin.

The handler stood there panting for a moment, his heart racing. He almost didn't trust how well the scent had worked, he had been sure he was a dead man for a moment. Once a few minutes had passed and Laura hadn't moved he approached with increasing confidence. "Wow, they told me your conditioning was good but this is impressive." He leaned forward, carefully inspecting Laura's face and staring into her eyes. "Are you in there 23?" He teased, waving a hand in front of her. Smiling the man brought his hand back and suddenly snapped it forward, catching Laura with a vicious slap. The sound echoed and slowly faded with no reaction from Laura. Holstering his gun the man rubbed his chin, clearly enjoying the sudden power. Prowling in a circle around the girl he swung his hand again, this time producing a loud snap with a slap to the girl's ass. He leaned around again to look Laura in the eyes but she stood silent and unresponsive still. Coming back around to stand in front of her the man cracked his knuckles.

"I did not realize how much fun you could be 23!" He exclaimed, casually reaching forward to grip the torn lower hem of her t-shirt. Slowly he raised the cloth, exposing her smooth stomach and belly button. Pulling the shirt up more he licked his lips as Laura's small breasts were exposed. He reached out with his other hand, taking one of the tiny pink nipples between his fingers and twisting it as hard as he could, staring right into Laura's eyes for any sign of emotion. Her nose twitched in the faintest sign of a flinch but she made no other reaction. He leaned forward with a cruel smile, Laura as still as a statue, and pressed his lips to her's. His hand slid forward, taking the entire breast in his palm and squeezing it roughly as he kissed her. Laura stared blankly at at one of the concrete pillars behind him as his tongue hungrily invaded her mouth. After a few minutes he pulled his head back and glanced down. His nose suddenly flared in disgust and he jumped backwards.

"Damn it!" He shouted lifting one of his feet off the ground and looking at the bottom of his shoes. Tom's blood had spread in an enormous pool while he was distracted, and the warm red life which was soaking into Laura's socks had also gotten on his Oxfords. "Fuck, I just bought those." He complained to no one in particular, glaring angrily at Laura as if it was somehow her fault. Suddenly remembering where they were the man glanced at his watch and frowned. "Well 23, I'm afraid we've got to get going if we don't want to be late. And I'm sure Kimura wants to have a talk with you." He stepped forward and pulled her shirt back down, doing his best to straighten out her hair as well.

He motioned with his hand and walked towards a nearby stairwell, after a moment Laura followed mutely, not even glancing down as she stepped over the boy's body.

"Alright then, I'll lead him to Central Park, Cap," Spider-Man said with a salute. Then suddenly Venom took off and Conners followed him. "Or not!"

Venom was leading Conners and the mutant animals into the ghetto, and Peter shot out web after web as he webslinged after them. Sirens were getting louder as the police approached Oscorp, and SWAT helicopters were nearing as well. They showed up just after Spider-Man and the others left the area. As the "team" came to the building Venom had lead them to, X launched an attack on the Lizard.

"Shhkkraaaa!" shrieked Conners, fighting to get X of his back. He tried to throw his tail up to grab him, but that wasn't working. Finally, he pushed off the ground with both hands and feet, shot up several stories, spun around in mid air, and flew back towards the ground with his back facing down, intending to crush the Captain. Lucky for him, Spider-Man quickly made a web-net to catch them before they hit the pavement.

"You alright, Cap?" he asked as he jumped up onto the chest of the Lizard and started throwing punches into his face. A moment later a scaled claw flung him into a brick wall. Conners then jumped out of the net and charged Spider-Man, ramming him through the wall and into the building where Venom was standing, yelling at them to ignite the gas lines.

"Are you crazy?" Peter said as he jumped back up to his feet -- the Lizard suddenly lost interest in him and was focused once more on Venom. He drooled and lunged at the black-skinned antihero. Everything suddenly seemed to be moving in slow motion -- Conners jumping at Venom, the mutant animals all swarming towards him as well, and the other members of the "team" entering the building. As much as it bothered Peter, Venom was right -- they had to end this here and now.

Without a word, Spider-Man began quickly firing webs at the backs of everyone else in the room as Conners and Venom began another scuffle. Pulling hard, he yanked them all out through the hole the Lizard had created, so that only Conners, Venom, and the mutant animals remained inside. Then, just as swiftly, Peter grabbed X's grenade launcher off his back and ran back inside. He pointed it at a gas-line across the room, then fired three times.

Again in slow motion, he shot a strand of web at Venom's foot, pulling him out from under Conners and flinging him out through the hole in the wall just as an enormous explosion rocked the building. Peter ran towards the hole, but the shockwave helped him along a bit, slamming him into a parked car nearby. He staggered to his feet, the massive flames reflecting on his lenses. His suit was a bit torn up and bloody, and he was in considerable pain, but he still smiled, because he had managed to save all the heroes who were fighting. He limped back towards them, grabbing the grenade launcher off the ground and handing it back to X.

"Sorry, Cap. Had to borrow this for a minute," he said before turning and looking into the flames. "I didn't want to kill Dr. Conners, but he really didn't leave us any choice. There may still be a few of those animals roaming around that didn't catch the scent of the pheromones, but I think the cops and military are already crawling all over downtown Manhattan, so they can probably finish off any of the stragglers."

Peter turned as they heard sirens approaching. "Guess they heard the explosion. Unless any of you wants to stay and deal with the boys in blue, I suggest we get outta here."

X took his weapon back from Spiderman resting it across his back. "I'm sorry we had to do that kid, I really am. I don't know who he was to you but it doesn't take a genius to know he was some one special to you."

Isaiah glanced at the smoldering ruins. "I'll be back at the church. I suggest once you deal with your personal business whatever that may be we meet there." He kept staring at the rubble for moment. The sirens were getting closer though and as much as he knew better than to leave without a trophy now would have to be that time that he just let it go.

Captain X picked an empty alley and vanished down it clearing a few walls and fences along the way. He wasn't nearly as good at it as the redhead or the Spiderman or Venom and he couldn't fly like the Angel or Kris. Okay by comparison to anybody else present he was terrible at jumping and climbing but if he was being compared to regular folk they'd think DAYAM look at him go!

Eventually Isaiah broke off from the others. He stopped by the church to change back into civies then went shopping. By the time anybody arrived he had two coolers of food and drinks, along with blankets, pillows. Tomorrow he'd start talking to the local kids but for now he needed to rest and see who if any of them showed up.

"I'll catch up with you tomorrow, Cap," said Spider-Man. "I'm kinda out waaaaay past my curfew." With that he shot out a strand of web and swung around a corner and was gone. About twenty minutes later, he landed gently on his roof, then slipped into his bedroom window. He pulled off his ripped and dirty suit, stuffing it under his bed. He threw on the jeans and t-shirt he had worn to school that day from his bag, then went to check on Aunt May. Luckily, she hadn't waited up for him -- he had told her he was studying late at the library, but he still had to be home before his curfew. Hopefully she had gone to sleep before curfew time had come.

After a long hot shower, Peter pulled on a clean t-shirt and boxers and crawled into bed. It literally felt like his head had barely touched the pillow before his alarm started going off.

"Damn it..." he moaned before pushing himself up and out of bed. He still had to repair the suit he wore the previous night, but luckily he had created several of them. He grabbed one and shoved it in his book bag, slipped on a pair of jeans and a long sleeved sweater over his t-shirt, and before he knew it, he was out the door.

Later that afternoon, Peter changed into his suit, threw his clothes in his bag, stored it on one of his hiding placing around the city, and webslinged over to the church. "Knock knock?"

Venom managed to get to his shit hole of an apartment soon enough, his exhausted frame crawled down the wall of his apartment building in camouflage mode and he shifted into his human form, bruises, cuts and other injuries littered his body. They were healing but by the gods was he sore, exhausted and down right drained from this night's ordeal. His apartment was like any other in the ghettos. There was a living room with a dusty old couch, some bean bags, a small TV, a radio, a coffee table and a pile of pizza boxes, most of them empty.

Cockroaches crawled out of some of the boxes as he walked through the living room and entered the kitchen, there was a small oven, a stove, a refrigerator, a sink and a cupboard. Taking out a bottle of luke warm milk from the damaged refrigerator Thomas drank and gargled before spitting out a combination of milk and blood into the sink, he then drank a mouthful of the milk before putting it back. The faucet was rusted and dripping of black tar like liquid, it hadn't ever been drinkable so Thomas kept a supply of bottled water, milk and soda in his apartment, the sugar of the soda was sort of like an energy boost for the symbiote.

Hunching down by the not working oven he pulled out a wad of cash he had hidden there, it was a group of bills reaching to a nice amount of Fifty grand, he needed some more before he could get out of the ghetto, if only to be able to afford rent in another place. Putting in the new set of bills he had gathered during the night he found himself with easily ten grand more so a big amount of around sixty grand. Absorbing the bills into his symbiotic suit as to make sure no one could find them Thomas was done in the kitchen, he had a bit of a habit keeping his cash in the oven, as he had done so even before he had the symbiote, but he tried to keep them on him at all time.

Walking out of the kitchen he entered the toilet, it was the cleanest room in the entire apartment, and that's mostly because Thomas didn't use it all that much except for brushing his teeth. The plumbing didn't work, if you want to go to the toilet you had to use the ones in the hallways if only to relieve your body fluids, as the plumbing was just as bad there. The only thing that this room held that was of use was the toothbrush and toothpaste in the shelf above the sink.

Brushing his teeth carefully Thomas spat out the bubbly foam before gargling with a bottle of clean water he had kept in the bathroom and soon entered the living room again. Pulling out the fold-able bed part of the couch he pulled out a blanket and pillow before pulling off his clothes and just falling onto the covers of the couch, exhaustion pulling him into dream land within seconds.

It took two hours of sleep, thank the gods for symbiotic healing, before his cell phone rang, with his symbiote waking him up he grasped the cell phone. "Yes, Thomas Hatchet here." "This is Black Wolf, we have a mission for you. There's a man calling himself Eddy Brock who has run up quite a tab on our betting pools, we'd like you to give him a reminder of his debts. You have two days to get this done Bonebreaker, information and payment will be received at the regular location." Turning off the cell phone Thomas let out a sigh before getting up from his makeshift bed. Getting dressed he swiftly left the apartment building for the streets.

Passing an old man holding the sign "The End Is Near" Thomas handed him a dollar bill and he handed him a slip of paper with an address on it. Taking the buss lane Thomas kept his head clear as he pulled out a slip of paper and began to write on it. When he reached the apartment building of Eddie Brock he went into the alley behind it and shifted his appearance and clothing. Climbing up to the right apartment floor and window he looked inside, nobody home. He then took a kitchen knife, his hands covered by the symbiote as to not leave finger prints, and stabbed it into the door.

Thomas then took some valuable stuff from the place, around one hundred dollars and a nice watch, before trashing the place, breaking furniture, the tv and the mirror in the bathroom before leaping out a window as the landlord came to inspect the noise. Camouflaging himself Thomas shifted into Venom and webslinged themselves away from the apartment block before heading towards the church were they had meet the other people from last night ,with the exception of Parker of course.

Landing on the roof of the church Venom slide himself down a web line before sitting down by a bench in a shadowy corner, waiting for the others, camouflaged the entire time. He then heard the knocking and voice of Spiderman but kept quiet, waiting for the others to arrive before acting, hopefully that Captain X fellow wouldn't try to exorcist him with that grenade launcher of his. That man was a bit odd considering he believed in gods and devils. Then again Venom was powered by an alien symbiote so it could be possible that those things exist but he'd except a bit of proof before assuming anything.

With the lizard, Conner finally put down along with a few more of the mutant creature that was made during his escapades. It was time for well-received rest, he watched as each one of the people he just meet all left in there own direction. He was curious to meet up with everyone and decided to go ahead and meet up with them once more at the church.

Kris was `going to make his way back to the church, he had to get back and retrieve his bike. He didnt really want to leave it there. But then again who would steal a bike from a church.

In actuality it was an old bike that he found within the junkyard and managed to fix up, He called it Frankenstein as he took parts from various bikes to make the one he rode. He figured that he would give it to Isaiah. One thing that surprised him was that it was able to pass for street legal.

Flying back to the junkyard, he had to make sure that he dodges the police helicopters that started to patrol the skies. Not that they couldn't catch up to him but it was better to be safe than sorry.

"Liltih Open the pod bay doors," Kris quickly ordered as he hovered over the doors.

"You should use the same doors you went out of"

"Fine just do it?" Kris quickly said as he waited for the doors to open.

After a brief few minutes of waiting the doors finally opened up, Kris quickly cut the all booster engines and fell into the whole. The doors quickly closed shut just as spotlights washed over the where the doors where.

Kris fell to the floor with a thud destroying part of the cement floor that he landed on

"May i suggest installing a stealth system on the next suit you make sir?" Lilith quickly said as the room was filled with lights.

"I'll be sure to come up with something," He said as the armor opened up and he emerged from it. If or when he had time he would work on one, but to get such parts may proof tough unless he takes parts from hammer tech industries that they put on the back burner.

However, right now need some rest before meeting up with his newfound friends? Finding some space, he put his legs up and slept at an empty desk. With the blaring of alarm which knocked him out the chair.

As he looked around and saw the clock on the wall he saw that it was in the afternoon. he didnt on figuring on sleeping that long as he had things to do, never the less it was good to get a goodnights sleep once in a while.

After a brief argument with Lilith, he donned armor, took off towards the church, as he neared it he could see spider man appear at the church, and knocked on the door. it was polite though he wasnt sure why didnt he just enter through the roof as it was already wide open from what happened last night.

"Hey spiderman" Kris said as he landed behind him

he did get a call from Hammer Tech though they dont really deal with police orders. Many departments had requested gear to combat what few mutant animals that did escape along with the influx of this special humans that started to appear more frequently. All he told them that he would see what he could do for them.

Isaiah didn't sleep the entire night, it was one of the minor perks of the Serum they'd tested on him. He needed a lot less sleep than a normal person would. Of course he'd probably be regretting what was rapidly turning into a forty eight hour day. He'd cleaned up most, the offices, discovered a basement (which he quickly hid the door behind a bookcase after making sure it was clear) and had several trash bags lined up towards the front of the church when he heard a knock at the front door.

"It's open!" He shouted.

He thought he heard something, then thought he saw something moving inside the church but he couldn't quite place it and more importantly he was out of uniform and unarmed. If whoever wanted to harm him they had ample opportunity, his weapons were stored behind the stand just out of sight. He slowly made his way there as the doors opened and Spiderman and Kris entered.

"Good morning to both of you, I hope you rested well." He made a motion to the pews. "Please come in and have a seat, I know it's not quite as comfortable as it could be just yet. I still have a lot of work here before this can be the kind of place we," he paused searching for a new word, "-the community I mean, can be proud of this place but I'll get it up and running."

Subconsciously he leaned against the stand like the preacher had done when he was a young man. "I have to start by saying that I am very impressed with all of you. I don't know who you are, where you come from or where you're going. I hope I will have the honor of finding out though."

Isaiah stepped out from behind the stand walking down a few steps. I know I firmly believe that we were all drawn here initially for a reason, I don't live in a world where things just happen for no reason. I'm not asking you to believe what I believe, everybody has their own choices and their own way. I spent the better part of a century in a small country in Africa and I saw many things that made me doubt my religion, but never my faith." He smiled. "What I mean is that we were all brought together for a reason and I think that reason is so that we can protect people against monsters like we did yesterday, and more than that. To provide guidance and even when possible save people from themselves." He inhaled remembering some of his fellow guinea pigs. "Not everybody will react as well as you. . .actually Kris do you even have this Oscorp disease? You seem to just, no offense, be an incredibly smart kid who I pray never decides to start selling weapons to the military. An army of people armed like you but without your obvious good heart could be a huge issue."

With Isaiah greeting them and saying that the door was opened, he followed in after Spiderman. When he heard him ask about if, he has the oscorp disease. He did not know how to answer that question fully, as he was not that smart before and he just recently gotten smarter than what he was before. He had run a few blood tests, saw some changes in his own DNA, and could not figure out where it came from.

'" Truthfully I'm not sure, I think so as i wasn't always this smart. I was in college on a sports scholarship, and then I was able to pass with one of the few with tops scores." He told Isaiah as he scanned the room, he picked up three other live signs. One was Spiderman, the other was Isaiah and last but not least that creature who called himself venom.

"You might as well come out from the shadows," Kris quickly said as the helmet covering his face retracted.

"In actuality I'm employed By Hammer Tech industries which I get to build and test new items for them, these armors were my parents design and they don't know anything about them," Kris quickly said,

He worked there for a short while and from what he found out from others that the head people wanted him to be the lead researcher but he would never take the job.

even the military didn't know about the armors he currently has, if they did then they would try to take the units by force. if that came to it he figured he'll give them a good show.

“Besides I’m not the only other person who uses armor similar to t
his”

Isaiah glanced towards the shadows, he'd already thought he'd noticed something earlier but when Kris confirmed him he focused on the closest location to where he thought their extra visitor was most likely concealed.

"Increased inteligence?" The idea hadn't crossed his mind yet but it didn't sound impossible. "I know you are not the only person with weapons like this. I hope we can keep the number of people with weapons like yours to a minimum however." He frowned slightly, the fact that people with weapons like his might be necessary wasn't wasted on him. He was actively trying not to think about what would have happened if that Dragon had ran into the police or if too many of those animals escaped. Still that wasn't the sort of thing he wanted to discuss just yet.

Venom exited the shadows, emerging like a monster in a horror film out of the shadowed area of the church. His form was without tendrils or sharp points, well except for his teeth. His eyes looked across the room and he spoke up in a calm manner. "We wondered when you would notice us."

Taking a seat by the end of the bench line Venom crossed his arms and leaned back to relax as he looked at the others. "For now it would seem that we're the only ones here at the moment. We will await the others arrival before we speak out of ourselves." stretching his neck a little Venom pondered if he could go and get himself some food before the others arrived, he felt like Chinese food today, not noddles though.

"He didn't really mean me." Mary Jane thought aloud as she made her way towards the church. She'd was wearing sneakers, matching black lycra bike shorts and sports bra with gloves. It made leaping from building to building so much easier than it had been before, almost exciting with how wonderfully free it felt. She'd contemplated a weapon for a while encase X wanted to send them out rat whomping or something but the only weapon she owned was a hockey stick from when she was twelve. It didn't exactly compare to those giant axes or rocket launcher he carried.

"Why am I even here?" She mumbled when she found herself at the entrance to the church. Then she remembered the hair clip in her pocket. It was such an odd thing, with little. . .well she wasn't sure what kinds of compartments those were but there was definitely something connected to that battery.

Mary Jane let herself into the church just in time to hear X speak and then Venom emerged from the shadows. She fought the urge to squeak, he was one of the good guys right? If he wasn't surely some one would protect her. She still made sure she was sitting on the far side of the room from him.

"Excuse me? When that girl knives left, she dropped her hair clip and she seemed bothered." She held out the item looking around at the others.

Isaiah smiled warming. "I admit. . Venom is it, your appearance is a bit alarming but I apologize for accusing you of being a demon. Even if you are you are clearly of the noble variety risking your life the way that you did the other day and. . ." Isaiah searched for a moment. He'd experienced quite a bit growing up in 1930's America. "I know what it's like to be judged for the color of your skin and not the content of your character. I should have done better."

Once he'd spent a moment with Venom he walked over to the young redhead doing his best to keep from being too obvious as he eyed her before taking the hair clip and examining it. "I was hoping that one of you had seen where she got off to. Something about her reminds me of an old friend. An old friend who must be dead by now but a friend nonetheless. . .the way she attacked, I think someone may be controlling her somehow and if she's anything like him whatever they are doing to control her could be horrific. Worse that. . she's an incredible weapon to leave in the wrong hands and I say the wrong hands are anybody who would dump her on our," he chose that word specifically, it wasn't meant to be entirely manipulative but he'd learned in Wakanda the powerful difference between 'my' and 'our' when it came to getting certain results out of people, "-doorstep pointed her at us and tried to kill us. There is no way of knowing if she was targeting one of us, all of us, or if she's just a weapon thrown out blindly with no more rhyme or reason than that Dragon had."

Isaiah had a sneaking suspicion that it was him. He been careful, careful to the point of paranoia sneaking back into the country, no planes, rode below decks on a private freighter. He'd done everything right but he'd been here less than twenty four hours and a deadly assassin with a more than passing resemblance to Logan was here? It would have been too much of a coincidence to ignore but an Angel had crashed through the roof of his church, followed by a dragon, a demon (a noble demon), an Arachnid based Luchadore and some kind of tech genius. Maybe the world had just gone insane.

Deep in the hold of the cargo ship Laura was again in the clutches of Kimura. The woman had dispensed with the magnets this time, instead Laura's hands were bound together with rope and slung over a hook in the ceiling, hanging just high enough that her toes couldn't reach the ground. She was naked and limp, skin glistening with sweat, in the hours since she had returned Kimura had "administered" to the girl without pause and even Laura's enhanced stamina had limits.

Kimura had just lain down her whip and was examining a long slim flensing blade when the door to the container opened and a man stepped in. Kimura looked up and smiled, Laura didn't have the energy or the will to look but her nose twitched and she growled weakly. It was the handler, the one who had murdered Tom. The man was still dressed immaculately in a suit and tie, though he had dispensed with the sunglasses this time. His eyes flickered to the naked Laura before he redirected them respectfully towards the ceiling.

"Miss Kimura." He said respectfully, "I was told you requested me."

Kimura stepped near Laura, letting the cold steel of her blade run lightly up Laura's thigh and causing her to shiver. "Yes, I wanted to talk with you about X's little outing yesterday." Her tone had taken a threatening edge as she lowered the blade, letting the tip rest on the ground.

The handler swallowed nervously, "Miss Kimura, I uh..." He glanced around, trying to look at anything but the woman and her captive, "The boy, there was no telling how much he had seen or heard, I thought it would be best to eliminate any trace of-"

"I couldn't care less about some dead street rat." Kimura interrupted, her voice still dangerous, "I am more interested in what happened AFTER the shooting." She reached up and stroked Laura's hair gently, "Did you think you weren't being watched?" She asked, her voice mocking, "We have many agents in the city besides you."

The handler coughed, taking a step back, "I-I don't...it wasn't.." he stammered, eyes darting between Kimura's blade and the exit.

Kimura laughed airily, "Don't be so nervous!" She placed a hand on the small of Laura's back and began walking in a circle, slowly turning the girl until she was facing the man, "So many of our people only see X as a weapon, they often forget that she has warm flesh over the claws." The handler looked at the two in shock, forgetting himself for a moment and gazing at the nude Laura. Her body was slim and hairless, though he couldn't be sure if that was Kimura's doing or the result of Laura's healing factor on her aging. Despite the sweat running down her smooth skin it was clear how cold it was in the depths of the ship from the nipples on her small breasts.

"Come closer." Kimura whispered, startling the man from his wandering thoughts. Cautiously he stepped in closer, Laura snarled again and the chain rattled as she shifted but a quick and painful pinch from Kimura caused her to remember her place. Soon the man was standing within inches of Laura, Kimura behind the girl and looking over her shoulder. The woman's free hand slid across Laura's stomach and the man's breath floated like fog, Laura could see his pulse quickening through the tiny veins on his neck. Deep within her mind she imagined opening those veins with her claws.

"X is such a beautiful creature, don't you think?" Kimura asked, reaching out and grabbing the man's tie to pull him closer until Laura was sandwiched between the two of them. "Like a work of art." The handler licked his lips nervously, one of his hands starting to rise towards the girl's body. Suddenly Laura gasped an instant before the man grunted in pain. Looking down in disbelief he saw a shiny metal bridge between their stomachs. "But she is MY creature." Kimura whispered, twisting the blade that she had slid through Laura's body and into the man before sliding it out, slick with blood. Laura's wounds soon began to close, but the man's did not. He stumbled backwards before collapsing to the ground, uselessly trying to stem the blood pouring from his open stomach. He opened his mouth to speak but only managed a weak grunt, his face already a deathly pale, and fell backwards.

Laura stared in shock at the man, somehow his death didn't bring the satisfaction she had expected, when she felt Kimura's hand on her shoulder, turning her again until they were face to face. "I'm sorry that disgusting thing touched you X." She whispered intimately, her hand sliding to Laura's collarbone and stroking it lightly. "But that doesn't excuse your apalling performance out there does it?" Laura shook her head fearfully, unable to look away from Kimura's gaze. "I know you won't dissapoint me next time. But still..." Kimura's free hand drifted down across Laura's sternum, and her blade slowly slid upwards to rest on Laura's shoulder. "But we both know that it's important to reinforce the lesson, isn't it?" Laura nodded this time, biting her lip as Kimura's hand continued to drift lower.

She wouldn't fail her again, she couldn't.

Location: church
Time: afternoon
Characters: Isaiah, Peter,Mary Jane, Kris, venom

"No I didn't get a chance to see where she went off to' Kris said quickly as he watch Isaiah and took the hair clip from Mary Jane.

Something about her was different; she quickly left without word to any of them. Another thing that caught him off guard was that Isaiah had said that she did remind him of someone.

He had to agree with Isaiah on one thing it was who sent her and was she after one of them or all of them. As he remembers about last night I, thought came to mind, it was only a guess but it could be true.

"I could be wrong but giving it a 50/50 I'd say she was after the winged girl" He started as he remembered everything from the last night. When the angel crashed into the church she appeared, when they tried to get near her she stopped them and engaged them in combat.

If he were right then it would go either along with what Isaiah said that someone had to be controlling her, for there own nefarious reasons or for some other purpose. What ever it was, it seemed like an Isaiah may want to go in and rescue her.

Isaiah nodded. The idea that the Shevarine had been aimed at the Angel had crossed his mind more than once. It was, his personal paranoia and arrogance aside, the obvious choice based on her actions.

"You may be right Kris. She did seem most interested in the Angel. I'm just trying my best to avoid jumping to conclusions here." Or at least avoid jumping to hard to one conclusion or another, as it was the only thing he had to work with was a hairclip and aside from it belonged to a young woman an had some electronics built in he had no idea where to find her.

"So it may be just as well that she hasn't shown up yet. I'm not sure it's always wise to bring the target to a possible assassin. But I sort of can't fly, or shoot ropes from my wrists like everybody else here apparently can." He smirked playfully. "I might have to dig through the equipment my prince provided me to see if he has given me something like that. I can't even climb up the side of a building like Red here." He motioned towards Mary.

Under the early morning sun, a black car drove along a winding road with a sea of trees on either side. The sound of men working and machines running drifted through the chilly air, and before long, a large logging site came into the view. Chainsaws, harvesters, forwarders, and various other equipment and vehicles were spread about over the area, and a number of flannel-clad men were going back and forth, working up a sweat despite the cold morning air.

A few of the workers looked up as the doors to the black car opened and several men in suits and sunglasses stepped out. One of them stepped forward and addressed the workers. "Good morning! I'm looking for John Logan. Is he here today?"

Suddenly, Logan turned around from his work and eyed the suit who had asked for him. He lifted his axe up and rested it on his shoulder. "Fancy seeing you here, bub."

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o178/TheJeffinator/wolvie1_zps142533a1.jpg

"Logan! Hello," the suit said as the axe-wielding logger approached. "It's been a long time."

"Not long enough," he grunted in reply as he set his axe back down and lit a cigar. "Why are you here, Coulson?"

"We need you to come in," he said coolly as he removed his sunglasses and placed them in his coat pocket.

Logan looked at him for a long moment, puffing on his cigar. He then picked up his axe again and started walking away. "Fuck off."

"There was an incident in New York City last night," Coulson called after him.

"Don't care."

"You should."

"Fuck off."

"Is the profanity really necessary?" asked Phil. Logan stopped and turned around.

"Yes. Now fuck off." He started walking away again.

"So I guess you don't want to know about your daughter?"

Logan stopped and immediately turned around, lunging at Coulson, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt. The only reason he didn't draw his blades was because his coworkers would panic. "What the fuck does Amiko have to do with this?" The other agents kept their hands ready to draw and fire if needed.

"Oh, I forgot about Amiko," Coulson admitted. "I meant your other daughter. Well, sort of. More of a clone, really."

Logan spit out his cigar and growled. "Start talking. Now."

"How about we go for a ride and talk in the car? Too many prying ears."

"Fine. Let's go."

As they drove away from the logging site, Coulson handed Logan a tablet and showed him footage from a parking garage security camera. "She looks like she really could be your daughter. Her face, that snarl, those blades. We barely managed to get our hands on this before HYDRA destroyed all the evidence -- their allies are even more widespread than before."

Logan was quiet for a long moment, then turned to Phil. "So you think they made her from my DNA?"

"That is the most likely scenario," he confirmed. "Because of recent events, the Director of National Intelligence is assembling a new task force comprised of operatives from over a dozen different agencies. As soon as we got this footage, they sent me to retrieve you."

"I don't give a shit about you. I don't give a shit about your new agency. And I don't give a shit about this girl. But you know what I do give a shit about? Revenge. I left your little team the first time because you withheld information: Names, locations. The only intel I got led me to a bunch of dead ends. My former captors hid their scents well so I couldn't find them."

"You were blind with rage, Logan," said Coulson quietly. "We didn't want you storming in and destroying the years of undercover work we'd achieved."

"So why now?"

"Because of this girl. If she can do all the things you can do, we need you there with us. We need you to pick up her scent and lead us to her."

"And then what?"

"You do what you do best."

"What I do best isn't very nice. I'd like to show HYDRA a whole lotta 'not very nice.' But this time, things are gonna be different. No code of conduct. Once I'm heading in the right direction, you stay the hell out of my way."

"So, to New York then?"

"To New York."
