Men are picky as well. If a woman is not in model shape, she will be overlooked quickly for one who is....regardless of what her face looks like. I have watched..and heard...men say this exact thing, even in real life about women.

Not the same thing. Apples and oranges; you're talking In Person, I'm talking online, like in this thread.
The plain fact is that women--even if they're looking or interested--won't and don't put themselves out there. They wait for the men to do it, then pick over what's on offer. Just look at how much of a sausage-fest this thread is; I could probably count on one hand the number of women who've posted here in the last year. And you can't tell me there aren't any women who are unhappy in their relationships and wish for something else.

*shrug* Not bitching, just telling it how it is.

Happens online too.

I can tell you from personal experience, over the years that men are just as picky....perhaps for different reasons.

Maybe women do see many men post here and are timid to join in. Maybe they prefer to have the men make the first contact. Perhaps men here are so eager for a women's attention that they are aggressive from the start. The "I didn't respond to your pm " thread is a good example. Women are sharing why they don't respond.

As a very nice gentleman here put it, the women on the other side of the screen are real women, not just play toys for the men here (paraphrasing).

Connections have to be made, if desired. Everything takes time. Perhaps more women will choose to post here, maybe not. But I bet they are reading.

I believe the whole interaction between men and women, both online and IRL can be summed up by this joke:

Little Johnny and Little Susie are very competitive neighbors. One day Little Johnny is out riding his new bike and starts bragging about it to Little Susie. Little Susie runs home crying but later that day she too has a new bike. Little Johnny scratches his head as he thinks about what he can brag about next.

The next day Little Johnny starts to brag about his new pair of skates. Little Susie runs home crying but later that day she too is skating around on her new skates.

Little Johnny is getting very frustrated now so he pulls down his shorts and says to Little Susie, "I have one of these and you don't."

Little Susie runs home crying but a little while later, as she comes skipping out of the house, Little Johnny mutters to himself "what now?". Little Susie walks up to Little Johnny and pulls up her dress and says,"My mother told me that with one of these, I can get as many of those as I want." Now Little Johnny runs home crying.

Are ther women here foreal?

sometimes I think that it is the way men express themselves, women like to be romanced while most men get straight to the point. I agree there are 100 men posting to every 1 woman, therefore women have there pick of the litter. so if any women here are for real pm me. even if we don't click at least I will know..
