Because that's not the question being presented.
The question is:
Does the law support the government wrongfully using illegal methods or wrongfully and illegally withholding information for the purpose of obtaining a conviction against the accused?
Remember, due process requires a fair trial on the merits. If the gov doesn't have to play by the rules of "fair" then there is no due process. Without due process there is no justice.
So: Would you prefer that 1 guilty man walk free, or 5 innocent men be imprisoned?

Here's my take
I believe the dossier was used to obtain a FISA warrant and open up an investigation, the Black Ledger was used as court evidence for prosecutorial purposes. The validation of that document definitely affects due process and how that evidence is delivered and perceived by a jury. It is somewhat the responsibility of the defense to cross examine the validity of that document. A prosecutor has to be careful in this instance. I believe if the defense ( defendant and legal counsel ) are purposely misled as to its validity by the prosecution or the prosecution when asked about the validity by the court or defense and does not reveal the validity of the document then due process can be challenged ( exclusionary rule ) ( tainted evidence ). If through all of that a crime is found to have been committed, then it's off to jail. If the black ledger was considered the primary source of evidence and the reason for conviction while the prosecutor misled the court ( acting in good faith ) then I believe the fruit of the poison tree status exist. I think the evidence is not admissible and the case is dismissed and the prosecutor could be charged with spoliation of evidence and defrauding the court. I believe any evidence can be submitted it's up to the defense to refute it. I think it's more about how the evidence was acquired to be Fruit of the poison tree in my humble opinion going to be hard to use because of the fact that other evidence was also available and used for conviction. I didn't post many cases. There are four main exemptions which explain evidentiary procedures.

It absolutely is an option and de rigueur in many places. Police States excel at putting guilty men in jail. The only problem is some of the people they put in jail are not guilty, and the ones that are actually guilty, they only know are guilty because they tromped their jackboots through a lot of innocent people's lives on the way to figuring out which ones were innocent vs. guilty.
It is a perfectly defensible philosophy to opine that if you are not guilty you really have nothing to fear. That just happens to be a completely unamerican philosophical position to take.

Very few people earn actual ignore because what's the point? You can just choose to engage a particular post or not and from time to time it interferes with the conversational flow if you can't see what it is someone is saying that you have on ignore.
