this idea about man went too see football match (socoer) and he a Totnham fan but he saw that BBW from man utd fan who change his life

Best idea ever!

Whahaha, this is the first story idea that made me laugh. I like it!

Of course you can always change the teams, but the idea itself is simply brilliant.

If I may be allowed to wax philosophical for a moment,

I find it amusing that our Egyptian friend should mention two England based soccer teams which are both actually entertainment conglomerates whose performers on the soccer pitch are mercenaries mostly hired in from countries other than England, and whose supporters (or should I say "income sources") come from the four corners of the earth and mostly have no connection whatever with the cities whose names the "teams" bear.

Snoopy likes United I guess. :p

Only soccer team I know of in England sorry, I am not big on soccer, the uniforms are not tight fitting or clean and pressed army/navy/marines/air force so no drool worthyness in watching the matches. :nana:

However the teams aside, I think it is a rather good idea, can also fall into the old american take on football, football. ;)

Since the game itself is not the center of attention you can have them being fans of most anything, golf, baseball, cricket, basketball just to name a few. :cathappy:

CORRECTION:- Like most other afficionados of Rugby Union, I regard soccer as a game played by people who do not have enough friends to raise a team of 15 players.

For the other UK users who may not know, "baseball" is American for rounders, which in the UK is played by little girls at school, before they start on hockey or lacrosse.

For emap's information, golf does not have teams with fanatical supporters in the same way as the various other sports mentioned, so this story idea would not fly for that particular way of ruining a pleasant country walk. <hides in corner from emap's wrath>

Honestly, I think your wrong on golf, I hate it to so I'll agree on the ruining the walk part. ;)

You forget here in America we are all huge fruitcakes, it's not just California anymore.

There are golf fans who follow one specific golfer and will move along the course to watch the one specific golfer. So in the context of this story idea, you have one man who follows Tiger Woods say, and a woman who follows Ernie Els (I really hope I have golfer names)

So the first guy finishes up a round and starts to move on to the next, the guy gets held up waiting for the golfer and staff to move on to the next in their golf carts. While waiting he casually scans the crowd and sees the woman who is just coming up. She managed to get ahead of the carts.

Struck by her beauty he stays behind to watch the next golfer and eventually gets up the nerve to approach her and talk. :cathappy:

... which bears out my point that sport has nothing to do with the fan-base these entertainment companies attract, and nor has the city name they use. As a case in point, Manchester United is US owned. West Ham are Icelandic owned, Chelsea are Russian owned, and famously an Egyptian (known in the UK as the Phoney Pharaoh) owns Fulham.
