Well...it's neither ridiculous nor stupid. I just knew. I knew she was totally different the very first time we met.. we spent almost 5 hours talking. The next day we spent around 10. The following Friday she met my dad and two of my best friends, who all concurred that she wasn't insane and that all the things I was afraid of, were unfounded. I was trying so hard not to think with my dick.. and I hadn't.

7 days after we first met, I told her I loved her. Monday will be our 2nd wedding anniversary and we have been jammed together since January 2, 2016.

Wow! It's been a little while since I have posted here. Things have been crazy around here and honestly I haven't been of the mind to engage in any discussion more than just flirting and teasing. But every now and then I get a little introspective, I read something that I think might be a good conversation to have.

I can't say as I don't have pets. I know enough about myself to know I'm not big on pets. I love animals but I don't like having pets.

Of all the pets I have raised, only one was a pure-bread and he was the most sickly. My strays and rescues have been healthy and long-lived. I am a stray as well, so maybe that bodes well for me.

Okay! So I have been on a quest to learn about Scotch! What's good, what makes it good, and how to drink it properly. After a first disappointing trip to the ABC store (in which I walked away empty handed), I found another store and am currently sitting here with 4 sample bottles. A Johnnie Walker Red Label, Dewar's White Label, Glenlivet 14, and a Glenmorangie LaSanta.

Let the tasting begin!

I have a couple people mentoring me on this but feel free to add any hints or thoughts.

So far I have had a sip or two of the Johnnie Walker. Not a fan. I have moved on to the Dewar's. It's not as strong on the alcohol smell and is smoother. So points there but I wouldn't say that I like it. It's still a bit burny on the swallow and I can't stop shuddering. I would hate to see what my face looks like right now. Lol

I have learned that sweet in reference to Scotch does not mean sweet sweet. It just means less bitter. So that's a blow as I like sweet things.

And I will say my chest is beginning to feel a little nice and warm....

You might prefer the classic Scotch cocktail: the Rusty Nail. Arts blended Scotch, one part Drambuie liquer.

But, the last two are much mellowed and easy on the tongue. On the bitterness scale: stay away from Rye whisky.

Sure! Okay Glenlivet!

Okay not as woody or alcohol-y smell. Definitely fruitier smell/undertone. Still can't place which fruit.But I like this smell best so far. It doesn't burn the nose the way the others did. Orange. I think I smell a little orange. Does that sound right?

Okay taste.... smoother. No shudder this time. Could be the brand or the fact that I'm getting accustomed to it? But much smoother, less burn. Although I taste more wood. Can't smell it but I think I taste it more. That's not terrible. Hmmmm....

Still not liking the way it dissipates off the mouth. I like richer, more coating types of drinks, I think. My mouth feels really dry after each sip. Is that supposed to happen?

And now let's try the Glenmorangie....

White Label was what my dad and uncles always drank at family gatherings. In a tall glass, topped with soda water and a lemon twist.

I keep a variety of upped end Scotch's and bourbons on hand. But I also have a bottle of White Label - which I drink with soda, just like my dad did

You have a good taster there The Walker and Dewars are blended Scotches and fine for use in mixing cocktails. The other two are single malts and best on their own. You're ready for anything!
