First off... BIG thanks to Absinthe for covering for me last night. I had to hit the sack early. Then I had to get up at the butt crack of dawn to take sis to the hospital. But on a good note, she is doin' well and hopefully this will be the last test she has to take and we can get started on treatment. Crossed fingers are very welcome at this point.

I will tell you guys, I am a little whooped. Something about spending the day at the hospital really takes it out of a girl. So tonight let's go easy, shall we?

Coming home it was good radio. Listened to some old country and the boys and I sang along with Charlie Daniels' Devil Went Down to Georgia [laughs] I used to love that song when I was a kid. So question for tonight... any song that you remember from your childhood that still brings a smile to your face?

To answer last night's cover.... I was 16 and he was a few years older. I had had a crush on him since freshman year. [laughs] I remember a lot of 'sorrys' and pain.

Happy to help. I'm still at the office working late, but I just finished a project and getting ready to drive home, so nothing to drink for me.

Joy makes me feel old because I grew up listening to CCR - between them and the Beatles, those were the bands I first related to and bought all their music.

I had a lot of CDB too and liked that song and his Uneasy Rider. Along those lines, two of those long 'story type' songs that still make me smile are Commander Cody's version of Hot Rod Lincoln, and Frank Zappa's Dinah Mo Humm. I still can't believe the radio played the latter with it's subject matter.

Glad your Sis is alright, maybe I'll be back later

Aw thanks, Sassy. I have my iced coffee and am okay right now. Just chillin' out. I will say the nurses we had today were fantastic. One of them literally held my sister's hand throughout the process. Made her feel reassured.

Monster Mash

1 oz gold rum
1 oz lemon schnapps
2 oz vodka
12 oz Monster® energy drink

Mix everything in a large beer glass and enjoy!

Got a no-chip and a paraffin wax....and a coconut pedicure with a polish. I'm all pretty and girly now ;)
