Male Physiology Question - How Do Men Cum?

My daughters are of an age where they are becoming curious about the other sex. So last night during dinner, dessert actually, while putting whipped cream on my pumpkin pie, I was asked if men really "squirt" when they cum. I told them, "yeah, I think so. At least in the movies!". They then asked "How" and I was stumped.

So my question is (and using my pumpkin pie as an example): is it like the whipped cream where you press a valve and the stuff sprays out cuz its under pressure, or is it like when my pie goes down my throat and esophagus in a series of rhythmic contractions or is it like it was bad pie and it's a violent "projectile vomit like" spasm?

Inquiring minds want to know! (and yeah, I know I can FGI, but I really don't want to know more about the male reproductive system than necessary! ;) )

There's a growing, almost burning sensation (but wholly pleasant) at the very base of the hardened shaft as the sperm and semen start to pour out of the scrotum and ready themselves for ejaculation. The burning sensation and associated pressure build and build and build even as the access point to the penis is maintained tightly closed. At the actual starting point of the ejaculation, the opening to the shaft starts to convulse if you will, spasming open and closed as it releases limited amounts of cum into the penis. Once the sperm is released, the convulsing muscles of the shaft take over to jet the creamy milk up to the throbbing head and out of the opening slit. Normally the amount release with the first spasm at the base of the cock is slightly less than the second, and then each subsequet one is slightly less that the preceding one and the convulsions and spasming is slightly less also.

OK ... so that's not really scientific at all. That's just the way it feels to me. (i.e., it's AWESOMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!) :D

Every so often, something comes along to remind me how glad I am I never had children. This would be the most recent. Yikes!

Props to the parents who handle this stuff with grace.

Of those three possibilities you've described I'd say... definitely NOT the whipped cream spraying out analogy, but almost a combination of the other two. Maybe (using your terminology, yeeesh, vomit) something like "a series of intense, violent, projectile vomit-like contractions".

Sometimes I've seen questions asking what, subjectively, the sensations are. The nearest I can come up with is that in the build up to ejaculation there is what I'd call an incredibly deep, intense, building "pleasurable ache". Definitely not, say, a superficial "tingling". Then as the tension is released in orgasm, the sensation becomes one of intense sensitivity. That's the point where if an inexperienced lover kept stroking (or sucking or whatever) I'd have to pull away or absolutely have to stop them - certain touch becomes basically intolerable until the orgasm has subsided. Well, that's my take anyway. I've often wondered how closely it feels like a female orgasm. Looking at lover's expressions, almost of pleasure/pain.. I suspect they might be very similar?

One thing I want to know about is the pressure. Like, sometimes guys shoot a foot, sometimes a couple of inches, and sometimes they just dribble, right? What affects that?? Can you exercise and it will shoot farther? Is it age related? Just luck? I do NOT understand this one.

Etoile, that is a really good question, and I have absolutely no idea, other than to offer, that sometimes when I am having a really great time with a guy, and I don't ejaculate until several hours into our play, that I can hit the ceiling, or take and eye out... ;-) I have had guys comment on it...Also and I guess I am still very lucky, being in my late 40s, I can still cum several times in a relatively short period of time, over several hours or so.

Other times, say when I am masturbating, I don't cum as much, and certainly not with any force.

My BF is like a good friend of ours, he can fill a small drinking cup, but it just sorta runs out of his cock like a weak tap, although it goes on and on for many seconds....

Another friend of ours, oh boy, other than him telling you, you wouldn't hardly even know he came...;( He is a great guy, and very fun to play with, but I feel bad sometimes for him. His orgasm lasts like a second, and one quick, weak, spurt and he's done...and I mean he is done, for like the weekend :(

Not sure if diet or health or exercise have anything to do with this, but I find most guys to be somewhere in between. Also I have to add that cock size has absolutely no bearing on any of this (at least from my own informal recollections ;-)

Yes, squirting is basically what it is. And it's definitely due to rhythmic muscular contractions, oh yeah!

The longer you go between ejaculations, in my experience, the farther you'll shoot, the greater the volume and the more watery it will be (and perhaps the second &/or third is/are the cause of the first, but I'm not certain). If you work yourself close to orgasm beforehand and then back off repeatedly, that will also have some effect, but less so than prolonged abstinence, IMO. Age probably have something to do with it as well, not to mention individual variation.

The first time I had an orgasm, it literally shot at least 8" up in the air. Since then I don't think I've ever gone more than half that distance. Of course, if you were firing parallel to the ground, you'd get more distance, and any accompanying hand movements can provide additional impetus. :D

Here are a couple of videos of some rather prodigious ejaculators:

Holy cumshots, Batman!

Impressive amateur video

And me, a far distant third, for comparison

Really, it's not a lot different than a woman's orgasm except there's more likely to be squirting when there's a contraction. It still has the buildup of tension in the pelvic floor, the rhythmic contractions of the muscles at orgasm, the whole body glow, the lowering blood pressure, and the body returning to it's unaroused state. Guys just have an easier time with the squirting part since they have a much larger gland. When men and women wrote their orgasmic experiences, without mentioning anatomical terms, research participants couldn't guess whether the writer was male or female with better than a random guess.

The biggest things I've seen affect how far a guy can shoot are the length of time since the last time he got off and how aroused the guy is. It clearly isn't age related, though. I've had a 68 year old man shoot with more force than me and I'm only 26. Now, exercise could affect it, though, just not the kind you'd do in the gym. Kegel exercises work quite nicely for guys, too, since most of the physical part of orgasm comes from pelvic floor contractions, just like in women.
